commerce and coins have the exact same icon for no reason as there are two very different files for the information... not sure if that was an oversight or what...

stuporstar has a really nice mod that takes the coins and changes their icon to a stack that you can see in loot window of the todd screen I took.

with that mod, I see all coins as stacks, like market is clearly +25% to coins, NOT commerce. Helps clarifies things so you do not need to translate effects in game as to which buildings do what.

Why does the AI do stupid stuff like build cottages on floodplains? Does this make any sense at all? I'm glad to see that Liq is sharp when it comes to things like this though. Nice catch by Zhou Liq!

Arg. I'd like to mine the Aluminum at Ritterville, however, it's not yet within our cultural borders due to Ritterville still being in riot.

I rename New York to Joeville. Our poor gunship Joe was ambushed and destroyed outside of it's gates by maurading SAM Infantry.

lol @ Caesar. I asked for fish for free as "a gift to a good friend" and he agreed! Maybe I'll give him something for free? Nah! I'll just move him down on the destroy list :P

HC is now second on the score list... He outran Alex (also outtechs him). World relations are somewhat of world peace right now. People are mostly pleased or friendly towards each other (with the exception of Washington, the last of the Confucists, which everyone is annoyed with). I am thinking we should attack Monty next. The Taoists have been good friends to us, so we should leave them alone (they out tech us anyways). Anyone know if spaceship is enabled or not?

Turn (1): Robotics done, as I want to attack Monty next, refrigeration it is. I won't be going at him this turn though. Need some infrastruture, and a good fleet first.

General building up of stuff. I build health buildings mostly, as our health cap is steadily being reached.

Turn (2): I promoted the big men to Mech Infantry last turn. They have MARCH now! Yeah! Rock on!

Wow... Infrastructure building is kind of dull...

Turn (3): More boringness it seems.

Turn (4): More building. I'm starting to get the fleet we will need to attack Monty up and going. I will go with no less that 10 transports full of units. Buildup in Hamburg would be ideal.

Turn (5): Refrigeration comes in. Excellent more movement. Communism in 2 for Scotland Yard and Spies. I can load spies onto my subs, why not?

Err... I just checked out the cities. It seems that I will need more than 10 transports to carry all these units... Jeez. 10 transports is only 40 units... I think we have more than that...

Turn (6): Ritterville online this turn. Let's get cracking with a Theatre. I want our new aquisitions up and running before anyone else has to deal with it :P.

Starting to load up the carrier. I need more transports faster.

Turn (7): Ok... Communism done... Going for Satellites, then we can get Composites. Methinks it's time for a revolution. Timbuktu has done a good job as a draft farm in the past, but we should not be needing it's services any time soon. Good job Timbuk. Going to Free Speech and State Property. 1 turn Anarchy.

Gah! I realise the Confucist special building is not build yet. Airlift one of the prophets to Joeville.

Turn (8): Hahah!! I love state property! At 80% research, we are making 213 gold per turn! I bump research back to 90%. Does not seem to make a difference, but we'll stack more research in the end.

Bang. I make the Kong Miao. Adds +34 gold to our income. Go Confuciasm!

Start loading up the troops. I want some more subs. Level 2 Flanking and Level 1 Scounting gives the subs 7 movement and 80% chance withdraw. That's on par with movement for the Bships. And the withdraw makes them nearly invulnerable.

Turn (9): First Mech Infantry rolls out of Madras, boy is it sweet. Level 1 medic along with March. I give it level 2 medic and a combat upgrade and send it on its way to Hamburg.

Turn (10): Washington is up and online... Kind of.. 6 unhappy citizens! If I had slavery, I would whip something. But alas, I don't. I start a theatre. To show those damn Americans what I think of their rioting, I move them all to the hill tiles to speed up the construction, at the expense of their lives :D.


Strategic overview...

Boring turns. Lots of building and such... Does anyone know if Space Victory is enabled, or UN? If so, I want to attack and destroy the Taoists, since they seem to be running with Tech, whilest we are getting just what we need to deal with them.

Our fleet consists of 2 battleships, 2 subs, a carrier, and a bunch of transports. Sorry I couldn't do better, but a lot of cities I wanted to build naval units out of were as of yet undeveloped. I have them set on building production facilities, so we should be well equipped for next war.

Keep on building more ships. Transports are good yes, but we need Battleships for defence, and some more carriers to carry fighters. We can rip them up with air power. I also like subs, because of their great withdraw rate, and the fact that I can stick visibility on them so they serve as excellent scouts.

We may need to build more Panzers and/or mech infantry. State Property has saved us a TON of cash, and we can afford to screw around with a huge army. We'll need sufficient defensive forces anyways, because I do not like how HC and Mao are running away with the game. Alexander seems to be behind the 8-ball.

No idea what to use the last Great Prophet on. We don't own Christianity (the last building not built) so he's fairly useless. Maybe keep him around until we get an engi or something, so we can start a golden age.

Ideally, I would like the southerners to fight each other, but that may not happen, so we may have to go in there. When we do, it will get messy. I will be thankful for stealth bombers.

Pick a spot for Scotland Yard and get it up. No real hurry, but spies are useful to some extent. They make good scouts at least.

I suggest whoever is next up build purely war units, and start crushing Montezuma or something.

No world map, because it really hasn't changed. Satellites will give us a COMPLETE terrain map.

I agree with the concerns about Capac and Mao.
what would be best is a two prong approach..

Alex is next target imo since we can walk right to him AND it will net us MANY MANY locations to airship in new units for the less than trivial capac and mao.

at the same time work up our navy for defence yes but also to prepare for the overseas fighting...

I'm gonna shuttle crap over to the south and make sure the home towns are all re garrisoned since we have endgame units.

I'll prep you for the southern campaign. mk?

It just occured to me that it might've been a good idea to bring along a combat settler, raze Texcoco, and then set up an airbase there. Do we have any free transports that could bring in a rushed settler?

After another 2050 gold, the units we had in Texcoco are now all Modern Armours! Heheh... Prepare for hurt Monty.

I look on the power scale. It appears we are weaker than Alex. Good thing we didn't fight him. However, that problem should be remedied in a few turns.

Turn (5): HC is now converting to war civics. And OMG, China captured one of Alex's cities!!! We may have to join the battle soon to keep him alive.

Stealth Bombers make their debut at Tenochtitlan, where they were moved last turn. Newly promoted units moving up. They will wreck havoc on the enemy, who no longer have any defensive bonuses thanks to battleships and stealth bombers.

Turn (6): SDI is done. Time to churn our Modern Armours.

Tlacopan is in such bad shape from battleship and bomber assualts, that it is barely worth mentioning it's capture.

Alex is likely very mad. It appears that China did not keep the city. Despite the war. Alex and HC still apparently like each other. Now that is wrong is so many ways... but they are at war! And still pleased?

Turn (7): I'm going to declare soon. HC is moving a settler through my seas to get to Monty's burning continent.

If you didn't notice before Liq, Monty is on two continents, split by a small bit of coast, and then some mountains. So I've done my part! The island is finished. And I did it in ten turns. Heh.
 
Strategic Overview. WORLD AT WAR! The only people not in some kind of war right now are the pansy Americans and Romans. The Americans because we beat their ass so hard, Washy is still feeling it, and the Romans because they are so backwards they would instantly die to any other civilization (other than Aztecs after we smashed them).

I am so glad I took state property earlier. The Aztec Hindu island may become productive soon, and not be a drain on the economy. The Aztec Christian island is still around, and will continue to cause problems. Liq, I kind of sent all but one transport back to Hamburg. I was going to ship more troops over, then I saw how pathetic Monty really was. So you'll have to move the transports back to the Hindu island, in order to move the big stacks of Modern Armour.

We have so much gold now. You may just want to hit ALT and upgrade all the infantry into mech infantry. HC... is a joke. He's holed up in his cities with defensive units. We have enough stealth power, although more is always good, to bomb him to the stone age and take his stuff. Not really any clue what is happening on the Mao-Alex front, Mao razed Chinook, so he may be winning. Declare on Mao if you manage to sieze HC's empire, and need more land to conquer.

We have the most power land army in the world. We can't lose on our own continent, because we can ship tonnes of reinforcements in as they are made. I doubt we can lose on the Aztec island either, because they are so pathetic.

Leave the Romans alone. They gave me free stuff without me having to threaten them. I'm also waiting for them to research fission or something so we can trade for it (the AI will trade techs with you if you have more of them).

omg that's effing hilarious, too bad we didn;t have a ton of spies to watch the carnage in mao land lol.

I did a few fly overs on alex and as you saw, he had a TON of units... maybe he was gearing for a mao war as was and you just made his mind up.

I saw what units monty had with that sub and was like well crap just send what we have in 3 modern armors and 10 mechs can finish him.

Alt upgrade is a new concept for me, I'll goof with that.

Hc somehow packed 4 mechs and a tank (yup not modern armor, with a single armor took out a mech and the tank and a mech took out another mech leaving 2 units in the town.

ok I puposely baited a few artillry and HC took it.. his air force bombed them and all were intercepted by the jets... none died but they are all very low hp now.. 3 mechs with city def promotions came out and they were all punushed for it.

pounded that hc on hindu island np, nothing lost and exp gained... maybe let him build another. lol

repeat over on christian island, battleships zero out the defense the 4 bombes lower all the units to 50% hp and 2 tanks roll into the town np.

oh yeah our massed bombers went completely uncontested and just pounded tiwanaku's 60% culture defence and their garrison to half. scary. walked in air lefted a mech and moved the mechs in as well... counter attack coming...

had enough bombers to pound the crap out of the gunship stack as well btw... think we need more bombers =)

incoming counter attack, it's gonna be ugly I'm guessing but air superiority is ours.

ok subs ganged up on a destroyer 3 fled and the 4th killed it... love subs.

another monty town down... malinalco... more garbage. used the bombers in north and to save a turn I lost two low exp armors... oh well!!! that was the entire casualties for the entire fight.

monty's done in, he's got 2 towns left on the same southern island and a third east of that.... finish him silver, no peace for that freak.

not sure if we wanna bother making the christian shrine seeing as a whole 5 cities have it.

have 3 great people floating about for no reason.


Capac has a ton of units left so many sure you guard the airforce very well.

I set djenne on perma missonaries, make sure you ship them out asap since max 3. The spanish and american towns first because until they have jud, there's no point having them make armor or mechs.

might as well go vasselage for the extra exp seeing as all that matters now is pumping out more military units I gave you a turn of anarchy which is fine because it's the long hual back for the monty task force. the double culture is not that useful anymore.

don;t forget the 4 stealths in tula.

more bombers is always good, more mechs as they own for holding the town we have enough fighters, just leave them on intercept and in range of where the troops are... you do not want to be harrased by bombers like ever.

I started planting spies in capacs towns just run em over and go to sleep in all the towns starting with capac and mao.

berlin is on perma spies
madras is perma mechs
cologne is perma armor
djenne is perma jud missonaries

took 9 hours to play those turns, with 7 reboots and lord knows how many desktops... my pc is not that gimp but this particular sg is killing it.

more bombers is always good but this last round I set up is prolly more than enough, more mechs as they own for holding the towns

we got a ton of ships running about but no destroyers, might want to pick up a few.

sorry hav a ton of screens but 9 hours on 7 turns is just sad.

if you gonna play later read the writeup in about 10 hours as it'll make a lot more sense.

I have screen of capacs fleet south of berlin... it's destroyers and empty transports so not sure WTH... 3 battleships are in the area.

I also had recen pics of all of capacs towns and man he had a ton of units. feel free to bait him with exposed units then punish his ass for leaving the confines of his walls.
