As you can see, we've had some unfortunate religious spread. We are researching Theology, but I'm not sure if Christianity has been founded so feel free to change this is we're about to found it! We are now in Serfdom!

Mad Zedong is happy with us after he asked for Open Borders and I agreed. Roosevelt also asked but was, of course, denied.

Spent a fair bit of time building units, we've got a couple more Cats, a War Elephant or two and several Swordsman to start our glorious army to slap Alex around.

Monte declared on Mansa...weird considering they share a religion. Let them get on with it I say.

We're now only a couple of points behind Hapshetsut.

Barbs have Horse Archers (screenshot)!

Also used some workers to hook up some resources...stone is being quarried, fur as well, although it needs a road link.

I built a cheap work boat for some cheap recon of the eastern coastline.

Pretty quiet turns all in all.

EDIT: Oh, I started Heroic Epic is Moscow for the double production speed on units, but feel free to change this. I wanted to go for Chichen Itza but someone built it...

Behold our great empire, Russia, is now ruled by me, Publius Aurelius.

To begin with I have to say sorry to you because most of my screenshots failed :mad: Why? I do not know. At least the last few have worked.

Our goal is to conquer Greece. So what do we do? We build more military.

In 1120 Novgorod starts a Cat after building a Forge. Because it is a rather weak city we don't want to send precious military to, we start a Wall after the Courthouse in Furgalloregrad. Stalingrad builds Walls for the same reason.

In 1130 I start a Longbow in Vladikafkaz..

In 1140 another Cat is built in Novgorod, Catherinagrad starts on a War Elephant.

Civil Service comes in in 1150. We start on Machinery and switch to Bureaucracy (military will now be cranked out of Moscos) and Slavery (again, we've got a lot of food and should rather build more workers than waste our money on serfdom) and whip military. I do not start whipping though. But we should use it.

In 1160 Leningrad builds a Forge and starts on a War Elephant. Forgalloregrad builds its Wall and starts on a Longbow.

In 1180 thanks to Bureaucracy we finish to build the Heroic Epic! We instantly start on a War Elephant here. Novgorod builds another Cat. And Stalingrad starts Barracks after its Walls.

Finally, on my last IT (I pondered about playing 11 turns but let it be): this happens :eek:


There are two guys in my games with whom I'm always at war: Alex and Monty. Both are our neighbours. Both are weak. The first war is on.



Monty is technologically behind.



No one likes him... Except his stupid buddy Alex and ... well ... right. Our beloved neighbour...



I already captured a worker. But keep an eye at our workers to the north.

I moved some military. Just keep in mind that Alex is still alive in the north as well and don't expose us too much :)



This galley is the most dangerous threat Monty has to offer.



We improve in military but it is not enough. What's up? ... Build more military! [tm] Crush those stupid two!

And lead Russia to true glory!

Yowch. Starting to look rough. Where are Alex and Monty on the power graphs?

5th place power ain't too hot when you have Monty to the south and Alex to the north. Should also be aware of Mao, I've had people backstab me even when pleased. More military ASAP is definately the key to this situation (although Alex is probably quite defused due to his less than ideal start location).

Are there enough troops to defend all the cities adequetely? Territory seems a bit spread out, and there's definately a huge border to defend.

It will be the best just to raze some of montys cities and deal with Alex really. The point with the overextended borders is true. We need more than ten turns to pass through our empire.

Troups are really short. But the cities are well defended and we're on slavery meaning that we could rush one or two defenders without problems. Most cities have barracks etc. pp.

I already pondered wether to draw Hatty into the war. She has always a lot of military and she likes us. But she would take two technologies. I tried it out!
