Fundamentalism was great in civ2, but too easy which is why it was removed in civ3. I think that with some tweaking, it can be added back into the system. Here is how IMHO:

  • Food/shield penalty as in despotism
  • Max one commerce per tile
  • Corruption communal like communism, but much less
  • Low level of unhappiness
  • 4 Military police
  • No war weariness
  • Population rush building
  • Unit support like communism or better
  • Other civs not very willing to sign MPP, form alliances, trade, etc
    [/list=a]

    Any thoughts?

Firaxis needs to add code that allows certain governments to raise the agression level of a civ. And also to make citizes revolt if you don't go to war!

Good...

But I would ask for a little more.
- Fanatics should continue and now it would be possible to build modern fanatics, usable in modern age.
- Unit suport... maybe not 2/4/8, but 4/6/8or10 per city
- And spionage missions could cost less enemy unhapiness, cause they would be expecting so...

However,they can not usepropaganda, ever.

It's a good idea, and deserve a long discussion about it.

Maybe a fanaticism patch should be released :)
