The year is 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely... One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invadors. And life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Compendium...

I have a couple Great Wall pictures!

1. "Keep those cursed cows out of my glorius empire!!!"
2. "Let's make a bridge for our troops to get in and out of England!"
3. And people say Civ isn't very realistic. They got the part about the Netherlands being underwater right.

How did you get the wall to go through water and
2: I don't see a wall on the last 1.

1. I captured London the turn before I completed the Great Wall, so the city was still in revolt. 1 tile that i owned on the island, guess the game got confused.

3. Sorry, I forgot. It's got nothingto do with the Great Wall.

OK - this isn't so much of a "funny" screenshot, other than an example of oddly shaped culture, but take a look at the Fish tile: I thought culture couldn't extend more than 2 tiles from the coast?

(I should note that I never possessed either Cumae or Circei - so the culture on the Fish has to be coming from Antium...)

That looks fishy to me. :mischief:

doesn't look that odd again for me

the fish tile aren't in all the way out in the ocean

you just have a lot of Culture in Antium reaching out to 4'th ring ... having higher culture than Circei have in second ring

Yeah you can't assimilate them. Those cows are loyal to the Arab empire. Frankly I like the idea of them retaining old allegiances despite the obvious danger and uncertainty of the times. Very solid, conservative cows-- the sort you can rely on.

Addictive oysters: so tasty even nations will kill for them...

In the late game it said "the Cows of Arabia have risen up and formed a terrorist group call Al Cowda"
I knew I should have crushed them before this happened

As it's to a small degree barbarian, Paris/other nearby city might have been captured by barbs at some point, and then captured by the Arabs.
