Who says that Robots opressing humans is a Garuntee? God I have when Sciene fiction does that. It's always the same predictable pattern in those Sci-fis:
Man Builds Robot,
Man Abuses Robot,
Robot Becomes Self-Aware,
Robot becomes angry,
Robot goes on killing spree,
Man and Robot Fight to the death,
Man Launches nukes,
Robot is relatively undamged becaus ehtye are immune to radiation poiso-
STOP RIGHT THERE!!!
I just need to stop and point out the most annoying plothole in all of these scenarios.
The author always seems to forget our good friend EMP.
Nuke: *'splode*
EMP: *zappage*
Robots: *zzzt* *colapse*
I'm just glad Brian Herbert didn't fall into that hole while writing "Dune: The Butlarian Jihad"
Anywho:
Robots survive nuklear holocast and continue to fight across the wastelands.
Uses a time machine.

Things get so parodoxal and stupid that the writer is forced to abandon the plot completley and just cram in as many sex scenes and explosions as possible to distract the people.
Guy From Future: I'm going to tell you exactly how this all happened.
Robot: *insert evil catchphrase*
Something filled with oil: Well, I'm dead. It's been a good ru-
*'SPLODE*
Robot: *fakedeath*
Lead actor: It's finaly ov-
Robot: *final action scene*
Actor: *convenient robot-killing plot device*
Robot: *dies for real*
Actor: *something symbolic that has nothing to do with anything*
And there you have it, the basis of all Sci Fi that includes robots in the future.
This has been a Yuri rant.
