The year is 2045.(Idealy) Technology will made it possible to bring creatures back to life. You and others are on your way to finding that technology. What you bring back will be massive and cause total chaos.

Windows Path for Civilization III PTW: (C:/Program Files/Infrogrames Interactive/CivilizationIII/CivIIIPTW/)

Click on My Computer,
Find and click on Program Files,
Find and click on Infrogrames Interactive,
Click on Civilization III,
Find and click on CivIIIPTW,
Find the extras folder and copy the Text folder into the Prehisotric folder,
Click back and find the Scenarios folder copy the Bix file into it.

You can now play Future Prehistoric

This Scenarios uses the Prehistoric Units that come with the Play the World Expansion.
I cannot make a Bic file with these units.

Any ideas or bugs are welcomed, please post your constructive ideas or direct them to my website.

Version 1.1 changes:
Redone the OR for all planes and helicopter,
Changed winning rules (was to easy),
Deleted dinosaur from beginning of Egypt,s game,
Decreased Technology = Future Tech cost, Min. Research Time, Max. Research Time,
Deleted all upgrades for Modern Units (you are only left with one Dino at the end of game),

and I'm sure there are some other small changes, but I can't remember them.
They are too small to make any real difference.

Thanks sprnv8 for creating this one. I've been looking for a dino scenario for a while and have been too lazy to build one myself...

Unfortunately, I encountered a problem trying to load your scenario. I placed the pedialcons.txt under my "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\CIV3PTW\extras\Prehistoric" folder and the BIX file under my C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\CIV3PTW\Scenarios folder.

As the scenario loads, I get an error:


error reading file

missing entry in "text\pedialcons.txt": ANIMNAME_PRTO_Parasaur


I opened this file and this entry does in fact exist and the Parasur directory with animation files does exist under the Prehistoric\Art\Units folder so not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?

Dionysis-you have to place the "Text" folder in the download, in the Prehistoric folder, not only the file file itself:)
 
Thanks Yoda Power - did as you suggested and the scenerio is up and running now!

Must be too early in the morning still ;-)

Nice scenario sprnv8 - and you are right in that there is a nice surprise in this one.

Still playing (just the Chinese and myself left) but was wondering why I seem to only be able to build 2 dinos (Trex and Parasaur)? I started this scenario with version 1.0 but found tha same thing after upgrading to ver. 1.1.

Sorry, just loaded the .bix up in the editor and discovered the various dinos are culture-specific (I'm playing the Ottoman so get the Trex).
