I have just the thing. I just finished this broadsword yesterday, I did. Nice piece of work, if I may say so myself. Sturdy, but not too heavy. Perfect for a knight.

Well, its not a part of our normal inventory, but I'm sure I build something for you. Just a chain shirt, or do you want a full chain suit?

I am looking for a full chain suit, to be used in the upcoming Knighting ceremony. I wasn't sure if this was part of your normal inventory, so, if need be, simply point me to the correct store.

 

[Grandmaster]

Don't worry about it, I can make a custom job for you. The only other store that handles such things is Eyrei's shop, and think I they're closed. Give me a day or two and I'll make you a nice chain suit.

Lord Padma, I have completed your Chain Mail armor and I must say it is one of my finer works, especially for something not on my inventory.

I fashioned the chains out of the same light-but-strong alloy I used on your sword. I took the metal and formed it into thin wires, which were then put together to make an interlocking chain system. Each link is close enough to the others to prevent arrows from piercing through. Also, I included on it a chain collar to protect your neck if it used during a sword fight. I hope you like it.

An excellent job, Sir Grandmaster! It seems almost a shame to be giving it away in a few days.

Well, my "competition", the Army Surplus Store, charged 100g for a chain shirt, so figure 200g for a full suit (shirt and pants)?

I can give you a demonstration out back if you'd like, sir. The musket isn't too hard to shoot, but the longrifle's a devil, it is. Takes a lot of practice to hold it right and steady, and plenty of strength to even lift the thing. But once you see that first round hit the target, its all worth it.

* Cyc grunts and follows Lord Grandmaster out the back door for his demonstration. After learning the basic mechanics of firing each weapon, he is ready to go try them out. *

If you shoot a pheasant with that longrifle I doubt there'll be anything left of it.....

Anyway, enjoy the guns and tell me how you do with them. Haven't tried hunting with them yet, myself....

There is a new Squire of Vanir and she shall need some equipment. Please kit out Chieftess with armor, shield, sword, lance, bow and arrows. The melee weapons and armor should be iron. The bow should be a composite short bow, for firing on horseback. Have them delivered to Chieftess and bill my account.
