Futuristic Weapons Shop

Lord Shaitan, your weapons are complete. Luckilly, my smiths and I had no other business to tend to this morning, so the work got done rather quickly.

Here is what I've made for you:

The armor is of iron plate, which I have engineered for exceptional strength, resilience, and light weight. It sports a solid iron breastplate, made of iron punded down to be thin and light, yet as strong as iron of typical thickness. Attached to the breastplate are chain mail sleeves, which are then covered in a flexible row of iron plates. The hands are protected by iron gauntlets. The pants are also of chain, covered in a sturdy yet rather flexible set of iron plates. There is also a solid iron backplate, made in a similar manner to the chestplate. A chain collar protects the neck from injury, and a solid iron helmet, with retractable visor, provides head protection. The helmet is specially shaped in just the right curve so as to deflect arrows.

The shield is unlike my typical model, which is intended for use in mass infantry formations. Rather, it is pentagonal in shape, made of solid iron (again engineered for lightness and strength), and curved so as to delfect arrows. Finally, to lock in its strength, it is cured under heat and immense stress. As a personal touch, I emblazoned on it the crest of Vanir, free of charge. :)

The sword is a nice piece of work, if I may say so myself. It starts with iron folded nearly 100 times to make it strong and incredibly thin. The iron is layed out into a blade wider than would be expected if it was in normal length/width proportion. However, since it is a broadsword, it is in perfect proportion. The hilt is made of solid iron. Finally, I sharpened the blade on all sides to a razor point.

The lance is fairly basic. It is made of solid iron. It is long, and tapers from back to front. There is a bell in front of the handle to protect the user's hand. As I assume it is a war lance, I have sharpened the point and not put a cap on it.

As for the shortbow, it is a fine weapon. Not quite on par with a longbow, but much easier to fire from a horse. It is made of a combination of yew, oak, and ash, giving it strength, flexibility, and accuracy. The arrows are war arrows, not hunting or sport arrows, but I can fashion those too if you'd like. Their shafts are of a strong hickory, heat- and stress-cured and coated with a layer of glaze to make them more resilient. The arrowhead is fashioned of iron, with a razor sharp point in the front and 2 sharp, hooked edges in the back so that once an enemy is shot the arrow can not be taken out without great difficulty or without inflicting another wound. The fletching is of fine hawk feathers, making the arrows fly straight and true.

I hope this is all satisfactory, m'lord. :)

If it is, we can discuss billing later. Merry christmas. :)

Yet another announcement:

We now sell combinations of weapons, in various pre-defined "packages", that give you the same weapons at substantial discounts, on top of our already lower prices. You just can't beat such low prices. :)

Sir Grandmaster,

I was so pleased with the chainmail you made for me to give to Sir Shabbaman at his Knighting, and by the custom plate/chain armor you made for Chieftess, that I wish to order some for myself.

I would like custom plate/chain armor, similar to what you did for Chieftess, but tailored for my, er, "dimensions". :)

I will begin work right away, m'lord. Plate armor is rather labor intensive, so it will take me some time to complete. Shall I include in it any specific details or personalizations, inlays, gems, crests, anything like that?

Take your time, Sir Grandmaster. :)

It doesn't need to be too "fancy", with inlays, gems, etc. Although a nice red "plume" on the helmet would be a nice touch. And perhaps the arms of Lancre and Fal Morgan, quartered, on the front, as personal identification.

Lord Padma, your armor is ready, and it is truly an awesome piece of equipment. It is perhaps the single most labor-intensive item I have ever made, save for MAYBE the longrifle I sold to Cyc. Allow me to explain.

I started by forming all the iron plates. As it has on the last few items I've made for you, the process begins with me purifying the iron and created the strong, light alloy. I then form in the alloy into square blocks with dimensions approxiamtely those of the desired plate. Then begins the long task of hammering out the iron, folding it and then hammering it again, to make it strong, thin, and light. Once thise is done, and I have hammered the iron into thin plates, I cut them to the necessary shape and dimensions for the plate. The breastplate and backplate are each made of a single piece of iron each, shaped to appropiately fit the torso. Attached to those are shoulder plates, which curve around to connect the front and back plates, and protect the upper arm. On the left shoulder is a long, curved strip of iron that serves as extra neck protection and is also to be used to rest one's shield against. The upper arm plate is actually made of many small strips fused together, to provide equally strong protection but greater flexibility. The forearm plate is less flexible, but very strong, being made of two half-pipe-shaped plates fused together. These are attached together by joints at the elbow consisting of both plate and chain. The thighs are covered by a strong and flexible series of iron rings, overlapping to form what are effectively steel shorts. From those come the upper leg plates, each made of a single piece of iron for exceptional sturdiness. Knee joints, made of chain with iron caps, connect the upper leg plate to a similarly constructed lower leg plate. The helmet is made of iron, with a retractable visor that covers the enture front of the helmet, overlapping the iron of the helmet itself, with eye holes in it for good visibility. As per your request, a bright red plume has been placed on top. For added protection, the normally-unarmored underarm areas have been covered with chain, because the rigidity of plate would prohibit movement there. Likewise, a chain collar has been added to protect the neck, normally covered only by the bottom of the helmet. Finally, iron gauntlets to protect your hands and iron boots for your feet were built to complete the armor. As you requested, the crests of Lancre and Fal Morgan are quartered on the front of the breastplate. Overall, the armor is both a fine piece of defensive clothing, and also a beautiful suit to be used in ceremony, with its red plume, brightly colored Coat of Arms, and and bluish color from the iron alloy. May it serve you well, sire. :D

Hello Sir Grandmaster, we now come here to claim your offer.
We will need some weapon without any blade. As you surely know, we are spiritual fighters of the mind, not allowed to lead bladed weaponry.
A staff or something along this line would be perfect... u have anything available?

We have many options for you, good sirs. How about a mace, capable of crushing plate armor? Or the stronger variant, a ball-and-chain? A flail would be a good choice; they are powerful and don't have a point or blade. Actually an agricultural tool, used for thrashing wheat. A lance would also be an option if you prefer to fight from horseback. I would suggest the armor-piercing Crowbill, the world's deadliest ice pick, but it has a point that may be construed as a blade.

Take a look at our first page to see all the options, then make your decision. And remember, 75% off. :)
