Hmmm, it is discouraging to see so little improvement in AI behaviour from Vanilla to BTS. Specially when there was a sure method for forcing your partner to bomb the GAs in BTS.

On my last attempt, I was PA'ed with Hatty.
In 1816AD, Thebes was 1 turn from legendary. Her third city, Avaris was at 19K or so.
I gifted her 9 GA, and moreover she had 1 GA born in Avaris IWT.
Comes 1818AD, Thebes reach legendary and.. nothing.
The stupid AI toured all the GA around her land during 5 turns to finally bomb them all in Avaris in 1826AD, resulting in victory in 1828AD!

It's apples and oranges. Small/Noble/Liz techs a lot faster than Standard/Prince/Alex. Your 1822 game had Communism on turn 145. My 1820 game didn't get it until turn 179.

@Skurn: that's odd. Did you have all the artists in the city you wanted to bomb? she moved them and then moved them back?

The GA thing sounds bizarre. Was her other city maybe very close to Avaris in cpt? Something like they switched second and third places rapidly... It looks like she went to the culture slider right after PA in your game? I guess that just might be Hatty's typical behaviour.

If I still have the 1816AD autosave, I'll check things and try again.
My GA were not in the city, but it was reachable within the turn (2 tiles away).
The 2nd city was ahead of Avaris, both in culture and cpt.

I have noticed in my games that Hatty tends to go for culture earlier because she's backward in tech, while Gandhi is often in the lead and thus target SS.

I could not stop Gandhi teching with Physics (where hatty would switch there.) However, Gandhi would always stop after Radio if I told him to work on Biology, etc. Coulda just been that industrial/modern coin flip that gives that behavior.

I think I found what happened.
On the turn I gifted the GAs, Hatty 4th city with 12k culture had more cpt than her third city. But next turn, it changed again.
I guess the poor AI got confused over that

You're lucky she bombed the right city at least. I wouldn't wait that log to bomb. Sometimes they won't accept the gift for a few turns and I never figured out why that happens.
