From: Varangar Empire
To: Mizora Khanate
What's an Earthman? Is it a sentient tree-like lifeform? And what the hell is an apple?
Thanks for the quote. We'll remember it when we attack. And our burial rights just happen to be a specially-bred form of what you would call vermin eating the corpse of the dead one (unless he was a great warrior, in that case he is burned and his ashes preserved).
P.S. Your citizens have tasty skin.
(OOC: always wanted to say that!)
Story:
The Emperor celebrated. Mizoran forces were crushed, utterly. Nar'peg's most loyal supporters were dead, including his son, and the warlord was dishonored. Two victories!
The Clan Leaders were silenced. Their leader, Nar'peg, was executed at the arenas for failure. It was time for the coup.
---
The council room was guarded by five warriors, Emperor's closest supporters and most agile assassins of the Varangar Empire. There were also five remaining Warlords, discussing the future plans with the Emperor. They did not share his triumphant feel, pointing out that the attack on the enemy failed. Ofcourse - it was THEIR position that was weakened, while the Emperor emerged triumphant.
They defied him with their glances to the end. Warlord Mir'hem, an aged and wise warrior, openly stated that the attack on Mizoria has led to a disaster. He doubted the Varangar ability to win the war. Assassin Orn'grath smashed his skull with one well-placed hit.
The other Warlords were not unnerved. They looked on.
Warlord Ar'grath attempted to plea for his life. The Emperor was not amused. Assassin Uli'zar slowly opened up several veins on Ar'grath's body and injected a dark green poison into it. Ar'grath knew that swift movement will only prolong his death. He suffered stoically, and died for his cowardness.
Warlord Ir'den openly criticized the Emperor, and stated that he was no warrior. Ir'den challenged him to a fair fight, without any assassins. The Emperor agreed. He and Ir'den fought and wrestled each other silently for two hours, and seemingly, neither one was weakened. Finally, the Emperor bit Ir'den's stomach, making him collapse and roar in agony, and then allowed Assassin Mel'drath to finish him off.
Warlord Par'lan asked to be allowed to commit suicide. He was allowed to do so. Assassin Un'kar watched on as Par'lan, the veteran of so many gladiator fights in the old days, impaled himself on a sword, dying a slow death as a true priest-warrior.
Assassin Orad'gar did not wait for an excuse to kill the last Warlord, Avel'nur. It was well-known that he intended to give up the Emperor's military plans to the Khan of Mizoria two days from now.
An era has ended. The Clans were now united into an Imperium.
OOC:
I need to know if I will have the rather large Iron Star fleet backing me up.
Just because I'm nice, I will ignore the fact that you forgot to make that sentance secret, and will not edit my orders accordingly.
