Galactic NES

yep, GMT is the only thing to work in :) EST is Eastern Standard (or Seaboard?) Time I think and is approx 8-9 hours behind Wales...and the other countries which border wales, wales is obviously the most important.

lurker's comment: EST is -5 GMT, EDT is -4 GMT (Eastern Standard and Eastern Daylight). EST is October to April, EDT is April to October.

finsihed about 1/3 to 1/2 of update. rest will be done tomorrow.

Can't wait until I find out what cunning, dishonarable and dastardly tactic did the Mizorans employ (or whether they REALLY hope to defeat my superfleet).

Update 6: 2745 CE

The Riechstag joins Earth! The leaders of the Riechstag decide it is best to join back with their homeland. The new material and military is used for the upcoming battle.

The Battle for Earth was the largest in human history. Nearly the entire Covenant invasion fleet arrived at the planet. At first the battle looked bleak. Earth forces were in full scale retreat. The skirmish around Uranus marked the start of the battle. 3 Earth cruisers were destroyed almost instantly when the Covenant dropped out of hyperspeed. Earth forces then rallied around Jupiter, if it fell only the asteroid belt could stop the Covies from reaching Earth. The Earth forces tried to put up a good fight, fighter pilot Ace Granger shot down a reported 17 covenant fighters before he was killed. When the Dreadnaught Dusseldorf was boarded it signaled the defeat of the Earth forces at Jupiter. The remaining cruisers and frigates retreated to Earth for the final showdown. The 2 starbases around the Earth and her moon were impressive and powerful battle stations. Capable of taking on 2 dreadnaughts each. The Covenant regrouped and only 2 hours after the Jupiter engagement, the humans began their fight for survival. The Covenant forces fought through the earth forces and dozens of large dropships landed on the planet, each carrying up to 10,000 soldiers. About 4 landed in or near the city of New Mombasa, on the African coast. Earth forces fought a brave battle, but the odds were stacked against them and the Covenant had reinforcements waiting just a few thousand miles up. It seemed bleak, just as the Battlestation Ares collapsed as a Covenant cruiser kamakazied into it, the tides began to turn. From nowhere a fleet twice the size of Earth’s arrived. They smashed into the Covenant fleet from the rear. With all the sudden confusion and panic, the Covenant Cruiser was destroyed, followed by 2 Dreadnaughts. With their command ships out of action, the Covenant forces panicked and retreated back to Reach. The battle for Earth had been won, barely. Even with the Riechstag joining, Earth is still outmatched, only a brilliant maneuver could save them now.

Covenant: 2 Carrier, 3 Dreadnaughts, 17 Battleships, 37 Cruisers,50 Frigates
vs
Earth: 1 Carrier, 6 Dreadnaught, 12 Battleships, 33 Cruisers, 100 Frigates, 10 Exploration Craft

Covies: -1 Carrier, -2 Dreadnaughts, -8 Battleships, -16 Cruisers, -33 Frigates, -3 Squadrons
Earth: -2 Dreadnaughts, -5 Battleships, -20 Cruisers, -29 Frigates, - 4 Squadrons, -2 levels of defense at Earth

Akinean Invasion against the Covenant began not too long after the Battle for Earth. Near their entire fleet planned to take the border planet to help alleviate Earth’s trouble, by forcing the Covenant to counter attack. The plan was almost a disaster. Fearing an invasion by the “human-lovers”, the Covenant placed half their reserve fleet on the border. Although expecting organized resistance, after hearing of the great battle of Earth, the fleet commander got lazed. Rather then keeping his fleet at red alert(battle stations), he dropped down to yellow(be ready to go to battle stations). When his fleet came out of hyperspeed 6 frigates and a cruiser were lost before shields and weapons could be raised. This was a complete mistake. A task force of 4 Cruisers and 7 Frigates had also dropped out too ahead of the group, right next to the Covenant battlefleet and was whipped out in moments. With the loss of 5 important ships(the covenant now outnumbered them 2-1 in cruisers) and a good number of support craft, the battle ahead would be much harder. Fighter crews also now resting, rather then in their cockpits would further hamper the Akinean efforts. For the first 20 minutes of the fight the Akineans were fighting a losing battle, it was almost lost when an out of control Akinean frigate almost crashed into the Carrier. Luckily it was self detonated mere moments before by the captain of the ship. This allowed the fighter squadrons to do their work. They quickly attacked the enemy cruisers disabling several. Enemy frigates had been too preoccupied with exploration craft to fight. When a combined fighter and capital ship strike against one of the two Dreadnaughts was successful, the Covenant retreated. It was apparently their command ship. A near disaster was averted.

Covenant: 2 Dreadnaughts, 6 Battleships, 25 Cruiser, 50 Frigates
vs
Akinean 1 Carrier, 2 Dreadnaught, 4 Battleships, 16 Cruisers, 54 Frigates, 40 Exploration Craft

Covenant: -1 Dreadnaught, -2 Battleships, -13 Cruisers, -22 Frigates
Akinean: -1 Battleship, -10 Cruisers, -27 Frigates, -30 Exploration Craft, -2 Squadrons

Varangar Offensive strikes against the two planets under threat. Each encounter a fleet to counter any Varangar attack. Known as Fleets B and C. The Varangar’s send their entire fleet against these two targets. The Mizoran defenders were grossly outnumbered and quickly were forced to retreat. The Mizoran tactic of kamikaze Exploration Craft works well, bringing down far larger numbers then the fleet could.

East:
Varangar: 2 Carriers, 4 Dreadnaught, 4 Battleships, 12 Cruisers, 35 Frigates, 30 Exploration Craft
vs
Mizora: 1 Dreadnaught, 2 Battleships, 2 Cruisers, 2 Frigates, 5 Exploration Craft

Var: -1 Cruisers, -3 Frigates
Miz: -1 Battleship, -2 Cruisers, -5 Exploration Craft

West:
Varangar: 2 Carriers, 3 Dreadnaught, 4 Battleships, 13 Cruisers, 35 Frigates, 30 Exploration Craft
Mizora: 1 Dreadnaught, 2 Battleships, 2 Cruisers, 2 Frigates, 5 Exploration Craft

Var: -2 Cruisers, -4 Friagtes
Miz: -1 Cruiser, -2 Frigates, -5 Exploration Craft

Mizoran Counter-attack strikes into the heart of Varangar lands. With the Varangar fleet far away striking against Mizoran planets, the Mizoran “D” Fleet hits against the colonized Varangar world, taking it by surprise. The planet is quickly taken as Mizoran troops storm onto the surface. The worth of this one planet easily amounts to the 2 mining planets the varangar took.

Varenians attack the protoss Union. They quickly seize the border mining system. The Protoss however have now built up for war and are ready to take the Varenians on.

Iron Wolf Hive on the move! They strike against the Heart of Armageddon. As the entire military is centered around the capital planet(no orders) the northern systems quickly fall. With fear of an iron Wolf Hive attack, the Cylons begin to build up border defenses. The Cylons also research advanced robotics and begin to improve on themselves, as well as better shields. The Cylons are now fully adapt for a defensive war against the Hive.

Hutt Falls to the Aphraean Theocracy. The defenseless planet(forgot to make stats when I introduced them ) fell quickly. The planet has now become part of the empire.

Lentis Invaded by the Dominion. The Dominion quickly takes 3 mining planets. Lentis builds starbases around it’s remaining mining planets and their fleet awaits an attack.

Gou’ld Defenses now dot the quadrant as almost every planet is protected by starbases. It is now one of the most prepared empires in case of attack.

RANDOM EVENTS:
(there will be 2 good, 2 bad every turn)

The Sezurans gain +2 GC as the people swell with pride.

The Coneheads receive 30 Exploration Craft as a merchant company decides to switch to military.

The Goulds harshly put down a Jaffa insurrection. -5 Cruisers, -10 Friagtes

Several units of the Iron Wolf Hive become disconnected. -25 Exploration Craft

OOC: did I say 5, I must have meant 7:40 >_>

Diplo: To Cylons
From The Hive: We are disturbed by your military movements let it be known that we mean you no harm.

To Armegeddon
From The Hive: Surrender yourselves to the Hive or suffer total Destruction.

OOC: Just a note...the Sezuranians are METICULOUS about calling any and all civilizations something other than the majority race. Thus, "the Coneheads" become "The Conehead Imperium". Blame it on an odd little thing innate to them.

To: The Conehead Imperium
From: The United Federation of Sezuran

We would wish to request any contacts with other galactic nations you have. In exchange, we offer our own limited number of contacts. If this is unacceptable, we ask for a Right of Passage for our Exploration Ships to pass through Imperium space in an attempt to contact other races. This ROP would allow you to use your Exploration Ships as well to advance through our space. A note, of course, is that this is ONLY good for Exploration Ships, not warships.

To: The Union of Ogres
From: The United Federation of Sezuran

Greetings. Despite our previous tensions, we of the Sezuranian Federation wish to offer you a Non-Aggression Pact and, if you would allow it, a Mutual Protection Pact. We also wish to trade contact with other races, if you would allow it. Together as friends, allies, and trading partners, we shall both come to prosper in the galaxy!

DIPLOMACY

To: Varangar Empire
From: Khanate of Mizora

Your days are numbered, barbarians. The mighty wrath of the Great Khan pours down upon you like a monsoon. Surrender to us at once, and you shall be allowed a few planets of your own.

*TOP SECRET*
To: Ferengi People in Subjugation
From: Khanate of Mizora

Greetings, fellow merchants! You are currently under the oppressive thumb of the flesh-eating Varangars. They care nothing for trade. They care nothing for profit. While they control you, your entire way of life languishes. While they are in command, your precious Rules of Acquisition go unheeded.
So, the Great Khan asks for your assistance in overthrowing these brutes. In exchange, we will give you full independence, a former Varangar planet, all contacts we have or will get in the future (for trading purposes), and some GCs. This is certainly the most profitable course of action for your shrewd people. We know you will let your pocketbook make the decision.
*TOP SECRET*

OOC: I do believe that the Ferengi are extinct/minority by now.

IC:

From: Varangar Empire
To: Mizoran Khanate

Your courage is commendable, but your attack into the heart of the Varangar Empire forces me, the Emperor, to declare a War of All Clans against you. Clan Vendesh is no longer alone in this struggle.

To thje Galaxy
From the Gould

We declare armed neutrality. We do not wish to go to war not do we wish to enter any alliance.

Gou'uld Secret Orders

Spend all the money on upgrading the systems.

Send the following ships from the fleet and crush the small empire of The Confederacy. Take control over their worlds ensuring that the Confederacy becomes a new province of the Greater Gou'uld Empire.

Confederacy Annexation Fleet.

2 carriers
5 Dreadnoughts
6 Battleships
10 Cruisers
15 Frigates
60 Exploration Craft.

The remainder of the fleet is to be dispersed throughout the Empire to ensure the integrity of our space.

Story:

The Emperor watched the battle map with... amusement. All was going just as he planned it. The enemy succesful breakthrough made things even better then he expected, though. Nar'Peg has lost alot of prestige from this, and even now, opposition to the Imperial Rule was decreasing. If that was to continue, the clan system could easily be abolished.

But the time was not yet ripe. Emperor Vel'rag put on his battle armor and headed towards his flagship. The Emperor Must Lead Varangars to Victory!

OOC: :omg Tyrion I thought we decided to attack next turn! grrrr! lol. Oops, did I let the cat outta the bag?

Warman, I'm PMing military orders and also contact from Me to Cylons.

Aphraean Theocracy Orders:

My 39 Exploration craft are to colonize the unclaimed planet to the right and claim all the unclaimed space (white bits) to the right so I make contact with many Empires.

Research Better Lasers. (25 gc)

Bank remaining 2 GC.

OOC: I asked whether we should attack this coming update and you said yes. Anyway he didnt post orders so its all good.

The Age of Expansionism: Ended!

What with the colonization of the final known frontier planets by the nearby Conehead Imperium, no systems remained for Sezuran to claim for their own. Certainly, consolidation -- and colonization -- of current holdings was going to become the main focus, not to mention research and development. The Federation has some issues to overcome, as well; such as its somewhat lacking military power compared to its nations. The Federation is meant to be not just peaceful, but also peacekeeping...

Compilation of races living within the Federation:

Imprantian [Majority Sezuranian subspecies] -- NOTE: Can interbreed with Yurjians. Very nonaggressive and irreligious, Imprantians are as close to unbiased as one can become.
Yurjian [Minority Sezuranian subspecies] -- NOTE: Can interbreed with Imprantians. Much more aggressive, but just as irreligious. Yurjian attempted to conquer the Imprantians, but were surprisingly defeated.
Parmanian [Algo Majority species] -- NOTE: Can interbreed with both Sezuranian subspecies; has its own "subspecies", the Esper. Very innovative as far as technology goes, but even more aggressive than the Yurjian.
Motavian [Algo Minority species one] -- NOTE: Naturally good at surviving in deserts, very tribal before joining the Federation. Have proven to be excellent mechanics overall, as well as good diplomats.
Dezolisan [Algo Minority species two] -- NOTE: Naturally good at surviving on icy worlds, very religious. Have also proven to be excellent doctors in the Federation.
Two-headed Ogre [Majority species, formerly from Union of Ogres] -- NOTE: very strong and incredibly aggressive, however they have lowered mental capabilities. Federation Laws have been altered to help these beings develop stronger minds, as well as prevent discrimination due to their low mental capacity.

To: The Goa'uld Empire
From: The United Federation of Sezuran

This is quite a welcome change from your initial aggressiveness. It is most appreciated by the Federation, as we too consider ourselves "neutral", though in a different manner. We are Peacekeepers. Wars of aggression are not tolerated by us. Considering your neutrality, would you like a Trading Pact? Goods from both our empires can benefit us both. It acts as essentially a Non-Aggression Pact, but allows the movement of trade ships through both our and your territory. If this does not seem prudent to you, a plain Non-Aggression Pact would suit us fine.

Orders:

1) MAP:

Circled planets are to be colonized.

Boxed planets are to have an Orbital Defense built to defend them.

2) The entire fleet is patrol Federation space, and the borders. Monitoring of borders is to be maintained -- a sneak attack could ruin everything.

3) Any remaining GC is to be banked for later usage.

*TOP SECRET*
From: Khanate of Mizora
To: Iron Star

We remind you of your promise to aid us against the Varangar menace. We note you have 18 Banked GCs, and 6 more due this turn. We ask that you spend them on your military. Think about it, what else can you spend it on? You've upgraded your planet and defensive structures as far as you can. Meanwhile, your friends the Mizorans are being subjugated by the monstrous Varangars. They will come for you next! And we will not be able to help you. We must all fight together, or we shall all die separately.

We eagerly await your response, friends.
