The Mizoran people are an ugly, proud, and fiercely independent race. Their home on Mizora Prime is largely a wet and chilly drab place, though near the equatorial island chains it is sunny and warm. There are two continents on Mizora Prime, one in the Northern and one in the Southern Hemispheres. The Equatorial Islands separate the two.
There are two distinct subspecies of Mizorans, one with red skin and the other with greenish skin. This is attributed to the differences in variety of diet found in the northern and southern hemispherical continents, thus leading them to evolve differently. Here are file pictures of the two subspecies:
The Government of the Mizoran people is one that they both fear and respect. The Khanate of Mizora consists of a Great Khan, who leads the nation as a benevolent dictator. A Council of Elders, made up of the experts in all areas of government responsibility, exists to advise the Great Khan, though they have no actual power. The only known organized resistance to the Khans authority was a group of a few thousand colonists on Lehmbis, Mizoras largest moon, who declared independence from the Khanate. The Great Khan quickly showed them what happens to those who reject His mercy and love by ordering their compound to be obliterated by Orbital Bombardment.

The History of the Mizoran people is one largely shrouded in myth and mystery, but some basic facts are known. The two hemispheres made contact with each other around 1000 years ago. There have been several world wars between them, but neither gained an upper hand in global dominance. 42 years ago, the Planet formally united as the Republic of Mizora, but the government was corrupt and inefficient.
9 years ago, a Great Leader rose out of the Benzine Bog region of the Southern Hemisphere. Proclaiming the advent of a new era for the Mizoran people, he quickly rose to the Deputy Chancellorship. Although claiming public allegiance to the Chancellor, he privately detested his corruption and incompetence.
When an assassin mysteriously killed the Chancellor one dreary day, it came as a shock to the people, but not much of a loss. They were disillusioned by the Republic, and they yearned for change. They were not disappointed.
Two weeks after assuming the Chancellorship, the Great Leader proclaimed the dissolution of the House of Representation and the Republic as a whole. Acknowledging the need for reform, He named Himself temporarily (of course) Great Khan of the Khanate of Mizora. This, He explained, would give Him the power needed to effect change in the system without being hindered by bureaucrats or entrenched interests. Needless to say, the temporary state is still in effect. The Mizoran people are very fond of the Great Khan, whose actual name is lost (or deleted) from the record.
Several months ago, Khanate scientists discovered a breakthrough that pleased Him very much. Faster-than-Light travel, he said in a televised address, is the key to our continued existence as a people. May our voyage to the stars bring the goodness of our nation to all corners of the universe.
