Wow, my first diplomatic relation is the Gou'uld. Cool, this means I don't have to dig around for pictures as much to improve the quality of my stories!

Orders coming tomorrow or later tonight.
Federation Planetary Survey Report: Galactic Calendar Year 48
"Two systems -- one inhabited, one not -- have been brought under Federation control. The inhabited system is known as 'Algo', and it has two semi-habitable planets within it -- in fact, they are the only habitable planets, though there seemed to have been a third at one time. The planet closest to the Algo star is called 'Motavia' and appears to be something of a desert planet. Large stretches of sand dunes cover the planet, and though certain areas are green and healthy. There appear to be remnants of an advanced civilization -- however, much to our dismay, this civilization was actually less advanced than us.
Motavia, the desert/oasis planet
"The second planet in the system is called Dezolis, and it is an icy cold planet. Ice covers its surface, yet intelligent life developed here as well. And, here too, advanced civilization seemed to have once existed, but no more advanced than us. We have heard that there was once a third planet -- actually, the first planet in the system, closer to the sun than Motavia -- called Parma that was the center of the old, advanced technological culture. However, an event of unknown circumstance decimated the planet and left an asteroid belt. Currently, Parmanians live on both planets alongside the more primitive, mammalian/avian Motavian race and the amphibious-looking Dezolisans. Neither planet is very habitable really, so the development of the system is limited.
"Another system has fallen under Federation control -- this system is known as 'Precis', named for the commander of the exploration ships that discovered it initially -- and is uninhabited as of yet. Unless one considers orbiting space stations where some people monitor mining robots that were sent to the surface of the system's habitable planet. Said planet has been dubbed, 'Terys'. Colonization efforts will begin sometime in the near future."
Federation Military and Diplomatic Report: Galactic Calendar Year 48
"Since the discovery of Algo, the system decided to become a part of the Federation. The reason was unknown until we detected enough ships patrolling nearby. We since discovered that a powerful military empire ruled by so-called "gods" -- known as the Gou'uld Empire -- thrived nearby. Their forces are much stronger than ours, and if they decided to attack now, we would be destroyed. They seem to be very warlike, and currently we are unaware if they will be pacifiable via diplomacy.
"Little currently is known about the Gou'uld Empire. We know nothing of their leader other than that he or she -- or they -- pose as gods to the populace of their controlled planets. We don't know their home planet, their intentions, or anything. What we do know is the basic design of their ships, however. They rely on odd pyramid-designs for their larger ships. These ships are called 'Ha'tak' and appear to be a form of battleship -- though some of our scientists refer to them more a motherships. A gigantic Dreadnought-class starship of unknown name -- similar, yet different to the Ha'tak -- has been detected, as well. A Frigate-class ship -- called Al'kesh, apparently -- make up the bulk of their fleet and appear armed for bombing tasks more than anything. Pictures of said ships are provided with this file.
"If the Gou'uld are truly an enemy we cannot avoid war with, we must prepare ourselves. Their ships are fearsome and strong, and we must --
must -- prepare ourselves for attack by them!"

The Ha'tak, the Battleship-class starship design of the Gou'uld Fleet.
Known only as the "Anubis" ship design, our scientists believe it to be the Dreadnought-class ship of the Gou'uld Empire.
