Everytime I quit a game to the main menu, I get this message:

"Your machine is below minimum specifications. Civ4 will not run on this hardware setup."

Afterwards, when I check my graphics settings, the game has changed all the values to low, and checked off all boxes that are lower quality settings.

The game runs fine on my computer with max quality. Is there a way I can disable this auto-checker? Is there some line of code I can add to an .ini file or something?

I'm running Civ4 BtS v3.19

Yes, there is ini file "CivilizationIV.ini"
you want that:
HideMinSpecWarning = 1

(the file is in location like: My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword)

Thanks!

Are all the possible options for "CivilizationIV.ini" already in the file? Or are there more lines I can add? (Is there a thread or infopage with this information?)

I would just like to point out that Civ 4 looks very clumsy when playing at a hig res since the interface becomes tiny just in case you did know.

I'm not concerned about resolution, but render quality.

And to echo my previous question, is there a thread or an info page telling me more about "CivilizationIV.ini" and all its options?

I totally disagree with that. I'm playing at a resolution of 1920 X 1200 and the interface looks just fine, not too small, not too large. It certainly doesn't look clumsy by any means. In fact I rather like it the way it is, I can get alot of unit/building icons in a single line when when I'm in a city screen.
