Game Saturn

Hmm, alright - I guess I'm just a bit miffed that you gave it away to everyone so soon. (It's only just after 1000 BC!) :p

I understand the logic behind doing something like that, but frankly it sounds a bit like an act of aggression. :trouble:

Oh, and due to the wacky new discoveries, an update to the map! I am connected to Elucidus/Hercules via galley, and Clam/Dux/Scuum are connected to the supercontinent. Also viking island was redrawn and shrunk to be more accurately proportionate to the rest of the map.

If im lucky, they'll just pillage me back to the stone age, otherwise i might encounter a huge point drop ^^

Well they can't go into Clam's land, so any around there will be nudged over to you. ;)

Are they legit barbs or an unlucky hut pop or something? It may be time for some divine intervention. At this point I hope you have something like axes/chariots/archers though...

my cavallery is on its way, but i need to hold it for this turn ^^

they are normal barbs, but they all appeared at the same turn

Holding back alphabet is aggression? In Emperor's case, he had the monopoly, so I countered that by denying open borders to the people on the other side of me. He had alpha, so I can't trade with others. I deny others open borders so they can't meet (and thus trade) with him.

I wouldn't call it aggressive, just smart play. We both still gain by trading, and this way our gain relative to the others is actually higher.

No I meant Toch blowing someone's monopoly like that without warning. It made sense strategically, just seems like a potential gaffe in Toch/Parkin's relations.

i tought it could be hard to do Faux pas (gaffe) with civilization i havent meet..

but acording to joshua it is possible ...... :)

Maybe not in single player against AI, but in multiplayer against real humans who can think for themselves, it's very easy to inspire feelings of ill-will before you meet someone. For instance, declaring war on someone's ally. Or trading powerful military techs to someone's enemy. Or abusing your tech monopoly to completely remove someone else's tech monopoly. ;)

I think the Parkin civilization is aware of your actions. :yup:

I'm up for trading too. Whoever meets the argo, gets to trade. Too bad the island north of me seems not habited.

how can i send messages to one person specifically? and has he to check the chatlog in order to read it?

Messages directed to people in chat get deleted soon after you log out. Messages on the main board stay for a time, but anyone can read them.

If you really want to message someone in-game, do it via the diplomacy screen (click on their name). Much better though, as hell_hound says, to use PM here on the forum. ;)
