Game Saturn

Or use the diplomacy screen in civstats. For those of us in a half-dozen games on as many different forums, civstats makes for a nice one-stop location for diplomacy.

Welcome in saturn :)

hey iam afraid there are no teams.. every one plays for his own civilization, but if some one would need sub than you could do it for him...

or if some one give you pass from his civ so you can look around...

If you stick around you may be able to sub for LordParkin, he's going to out on an education-related trip for a few months or so and might not be able to play his civilization in that time. Not sure when that starts though.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Not really a team, but if anyone wants to have two rulers and discuss by PM, i'm open for that.

Probably not until at least June at this stage. But I'll let you know. :)

huh? how do you get a 1point score increase midturn?

I have a question regarding the mechanics of pitboss. If I have a defenseless city, and it whips a defender while a barbarian is right next to it, will the defender appear before the barbarian strikes (like it would in single player) or after, causing the city to be captured by the barb?

I'm not in this situation yet but I need to know if I can risk putting myself into it or not.

i thought a new city gives you 2 points?

Builds (including whips) complete during the housekeeping phase at the END of the turn cycle. AIs move at the beginning, including barbarians.

So yes, same as single player.

Exactly what I was about to say. Yeah, that's how it works. :)

Same effect as single player.

Oh hey billybones, I have an idea. Maybe you could look into the possibility of collaberating with DMOC, if he's interested. Then you could take part in the game, and we might not have to wait eight-plus extra hours on a regular basis. :p (assuming you aren't as busy as dmoc is)

That actually sounds like a half-decent idea. As long as DMOC's willing, of course. (Which he may not be - he may want to have fun with his own empire, which is fair enough.) :)

yea, i'd do that if he's willing. i don't think anyone would want me to fill in for them for more than half a turn, the only MP experience i've ever had was against one human player with about 10 AI.

Well DMOC just lost his turn last round, so having a back-up player would probably be nicer for him than that happening again. ;)
