I've only run into two barb animals so far, guess most of them must have ran off to play with you guys.

Wonder when we'll start seeing second cities pop up. (Let the barb invasion begin!)

Remember Hercules, four out of the six huts I got came out to be maps. 1 popped for gold, and the other popped for 5 barbarian warriors.

How do you get a size 5 capital this quickly? Seriously?

You have only food resources...meaning you probably don't have any strategic resources.

Just found Amethyst, she's mostly south and a bit west of me. She's actually pretty close, too...

I would have one right now if I didn't stop at 4 a bit to build the henge.

It's not too hard if you have multiple food tiles. All I have is unirrigated wheat (4 food) and a couple floodplains. (3 - 4 food) Get lucky with corn or pigs and it sounds easy.


Edit: Sitting on the southern tip of my island, I see another piece of land two tiles away... so that's a second visible area reachable by galley, another being off to the west. I may be on my own island but odds are I'm not isolated.

Poor drunken scouts, they never knew what hit them.

Here's another mini-update to the map with the new Amethyst/Parkin info. And my island matches its shape and size better now, with mysterious offshore islands! Mostly because of new civilzation flag markers so you can remember who is who.

And does anyone know what is up with the tiny one-tile rivers on this script? Nigh-useless little buggers that form one tile away from the ocean just to pour out into it. My island has like three of them!


Also Dux, DMOC and Hercules are on my hit list as people who have repeatedly held up the game when they should have been awake.

I have now made contact with Amethyst. She is northwest of me. Therefore, Lord Parkin must be much further north than I am at the moment.

If you're wondering, I have visibility of the actual city borders of Amethyst and Toch (well, I have visibility of most of his capital from the hut ) but not Plako yet. I'm assuming I can only see their capitals as there doesn't seem to be a need for anyone to get a second city this early anyway.

Amethyst is lucky. TWO gems right by her borders! And I just have plain jungle.

Oh, and if you're wondering, I had a test today.

The whole contient is probably a whole lot taller and a lot less wider that thing on the map.

DMOC is closely northeast of Toph, Amethyst is northwest of DMOC, and Parkin is northeast of Amethyst! A wriggling snake of capitals! Of which Parkin and DMOC I think are land-locked. And then there's Plako and Hound, both on the coast somewhere farther away.

Hurry and wipe each other out already so this becomes much easier. Quechua rush!
