Game Speed Adjust?

If Marathon is 1500 and Snail is 3000, there's easily space for a new game speed, such as Saga, that lasts some 2200-2400 turns.

I thought Eternity speed was even longer still?

Blitz=215
Quick=250
Normal=500
Epic=1000
Marathon=1500
Snail=3000
Eternity=4500

I'd tend to agree. Having Marathon last 2000 turns would be a good interstitial point.

I could actually go for a midline 2200 turn speed... its about right at where I'd want to be, as marathon is almost slow enough but snail is realllly slow.

Blitz=215
Quick=250
Normal=500
Epic=1000
Marathon=1500
Snail=3000
Eternity=4500
Actually the values in vanilla RoM are:

Blitz=215
Quick=352
Normal=700
Epic=1050
Marathon=1590
Snail=3000

I found Snail rather comfortable to really feel the 'sands of time', but the game is really slow then, and combined with the overall slowness of the game, it is really unbearable. Marathon, on the other hand, is still slightly quicker than what you need to stay in the middle and classical ages a bit longer. So, yeah, I think we need something like 2000 to be perfect :)

Why 10,000 BC? If you've suddenly expanded the game by 4,000 years, I'd certainly want to see a few more turns, at the least.

But the thing is that its not adding new content, just redoing the steps.
It will be purely cosmetical, but hey 10.000 looks nicer than 6.000, and with the techs and buildings it would fit more accurately historically, though some of the techs are waaaaayy older (stone tools and hunting for example).

But what I would really like was an optional start of x turns of forced nomading. Maybe it would even help the AI placing their 1st city better too.
F.ex. 5-10 turns where it would be impossible to settle. After that the game continues like normal.
