I'm thinking about a mod to add game speed and map size adjustments to anything missing it in the default game. If you know of anything which probably should have such an adjustment, information on it would be appreciated. The only obvious one I know of so far is:

  • Spawn rate of Militaristic city-states

I suspect some wonders like Angkor Wat could probably use a map-size adjustment too (only improves a single city). Another possibility is the Arab's unique ability, which can provide a massive amount of gold on large-huge maps but is negligable on smaller ones. I could use more thoughts/opinions on these subject.

Don't do this. Yes, a single-city Wonder is more valuable on a small map than on a large one, but that's always been a key part of the strategy of these games.

Ever play an OCC game? It's much harder on a large map than on a small one, and you value a completely different set of buildings and wonders. If every wonder was equally valuable in every situation, then the game would be a lot less interesting. Besides, you could say the same thing about plenty of other factors; you'll usually have more cities on a Pangaea map than on an Archipelago map, so would you also vary the effects of every building and wonder based on the map script used? What about certain resource-adjusting Traits, when played on an Abundant or Legendary Start resource game?

Wonders should be comparable in effect with each other on an average map at normal speed. Anything other than that should require the player to understand what things become more or less valuable, IMNSHO.
