GERMANICUS!

I need to know your on-goings or I might just sell a football game to TLC

I'm sorry Germanicus but I am selling your company. You have been inactive. I can't have that. You are welcome to come back and play again.

His company, including the console and half of the income is available for sale at $25,000. Preferably to a studio with no other console.

Spoiler Console/Game Info :

Spoiler Console/Game Info :
Console Name: Phoenix
Console Tech: 6
Console Features: Hard Drive, DVD Playback/Disk Format
Description: The Phoenix is a high tech media monster. Capable of multiple media type playback and powerful enough to run some of the most graphically packed games of this generation. Ownership was recently transferred the Hayden Games in a buyout of Zabriskie Entertainment.

Game Name: GENOA (Generals of the Army)
Game Type: First Person Real Time Strategy
Console(s): Light Complex
Development Status: 3/5
Description: Incorporating the revolutionary AI technology GENOA will let the players become the commander of armed forces. With live action cut-scenes, the players will find themselves in the battlefield, but not as the soldiers themselves. Throwing away the old micro-management principles of RTS gaming, GENOA and its AI technology will focus solely on the player's strategy, not how fast their hands are. The player can enchance their enjoyment with multiplayers of GENOA featuring various levels of command: squad, platoon, company, battalion, regiment, brigade, etc.

-----------

Game Name: Ferret Wars
Game Type: First Person Multiplayer Action
Console(s): Takk
Development Status: DONE
Description: Maximum of 8 players (with console links), players will play as a faction of ferrets competing each other for supremacy. There is not really any solid plot to the game, except that each of the ferret factions are fighting for the lost treasure in the middle of their forest to substantiate a feeling of story within the game. Each game will consist of up to 8 different ferrets fighting against each other as: infantry, tank, boat, or airplane (all players will agree to one) in many different game modes: FFA, CTF, Race, etc. There are up to 16 different maps (more to be available via download) to enjoy. The game has minimum violence and the projectiles will be nothing more than simple yellow spheres. The single play mode will be simple. A hero will travel through the forest to find the treasure. Simple gameplay and animated graphics will add simple but tasteful image in the game.

-------

Game Name: The Eight Ocean
Game Type: RPG
Console(s): TBA
Development Status: 1/9
Description: Another series of the traditional RPG loved by many around the world. However, The Eight Ocean will feature an immense world map. Also, the player will also be able to engage in real time ship to ship battles in the sea. There are over twenty different endings each according to the choices players make throughout the story. There are thousands of different items, spells and abilities, due to a new feature for players to create their own items and spells, and highly detailed character customization is also possible. This RPG does not include turn based tactical battle interface, but instead, it will adopt a real time action sequence. There will be no text boxes to read, but full voice recorded interactions - there are no more distinctions between cutscenes and gameplay. This game will use a highly sophisticated graphics engine as well as elaborately defined physics and AI engine to challenge and suit the players' needs. As a multiplayer feature, the game will include co-op mode with completely independent gameplay using split screens. It will be like two different games running at the same time when players go too far from each other; but still part of the same game. Expect the infinite virtual world The Eight Ocean will present. (To do this, they'll need two separate consoles and game DVDs, and it will also require high tech engine to connect the two. All saved information will be stored in a special memory stick by Hayden Games, not console depedent ones.)

I suggest changing your name to Hayden Entertainment or something.

EDIT: I think I have the console game library updated. All except The Eighth Ocean which I don't think have been bought. I guess if not it will be on the Phoenix.

Welcome, and nice game. Development Status means like (0/3) meaning you would have 3 turns of pay development left. Slow way would be $6000 fast way would be $9000.

Announcement:

After further review, Dreamsoft Studios will have to be put into the capable hands of Luckymoose. We will honor our former contracts, however, from now on, we have decided not to allow exclusive content for consoles, unless donations exceed $10,000.

OOC: In other words, exclusivity just got pwned by Dreamsoft and I'm being NPC'd.

Plans:

We will create an expansion on the game for the rest of WW1 after we release the current one. Do not release the current project just yet, make more improvements. I will announce all features of the game when I come out and send orders.

Dldnjstjr, why would any of your games be for TLC? YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SYSTEM!

Also, how much would you give me for a Phoenix exclusive Football game? ($5000?)

Because I made a contract with KKC.

I'll give you $5,000 for the football game. But, since I am also making a basketball game by the name of Street Ballin' under "Mad Skilz" series, I would like for you to put the football game under that series title.

That does make sense. That actually makes me trust you MORE.

The fact that you will sell out a chance of greatness to honour a contract shows the dedication that we appreciate, and make us proud to have three exclusive Phoenix games.

Does Mad Skilz Football - Touchdown Showdown work for you?

Game Name: Worldwide Warfare
Game Type: Strategy, Action/Adventure, Educational
Console(s): Phoenix
Development Status: DONE
Description: the newest genre of games, a combination of 1st person shooter, large scale strategy game, and moderately educational. Starting with a world map, the player chooses a nation to play as. They then build up an army, go through basic training, and can go to war. They have to manage military spending for the nation as well, and the strategy of the wars they fight. Once going to war, they view a blown up map, with selections of authentic military strategies of the 20th and 21st centuries, and arrows to draw for different armies. Then, they can go to a battle, pick out any individual, and play as them for the duration of the battle. The game can (if chosen) never end, as even if the world is conquered completely there will be rebellions to supress, or you can restart as the same nation on the next difficulty level. A major selling point to skeptical parents is the Game's encylopedia feature, giving history of nations and different conflicts between, and military schools of thought, as well as the maps which show both terrain and physichal features and major cities, giving the player increased knowledge of both History and Geography, which they learn subliminally while still playing a fun war game with blood and gore.

Nacho Money

"We're rich, man."
"Heh, dumb luck."
"Whatever happened to Zabriske?"
"No idea, and I'm not about to find out."
"I hear the business wasn't going so well."
"That's what you heard. Let's not start guessing what happened to other people."
"So does that mean we get a raise?"
"I suppose so."
"And huge office in some huge skyscraper?"
"Uh... no. Hayden says we're gonna stay exactly where we are. But the good news is: we don't have to pay rent anymore; which also means: more free food."
"What is it this time? Cheesestick?"
"Heavens, no."
"What, then?"
"Nachos."

------------------------------------------------------------

It all happened so suddenly. Isaac didn't know how it happened either. Well, the truth was... he didn't, indeed. All he could do was blame, or rather, praise, Mr. Hong. When they were away in Japan, where Raith had spent a lot of money at Tokyo Arcade, Mr. Hong was leafing through the newspaper. On that particular day, he was in the restroom, reading the sports section, when he ran out of toilet paper, and by some twisted form of miracle, he took the Classified section of the L.A. Times. And he came out with a quaint smile on his face, said one of the programmers.

"Mr. Hong, why didn't you tell me about this?" asked Isaac, when he had gotten back to L.A.

"Sir, I had to call dibs, and besides I wasn't about to call you at 3 AM and get my salary docked."

"Next time, I want you to call me before making a decision like this. How much was it again?"

"About twenty five thousand dollars."

"I guess we can afford nachos now."

"When are we going to get free soda machine?"

"After GENOA is released."

-----------------------------------------------------------

The office was still the same. A three story building in Los Angeles suburb. Many people asked why he didn't move to some fancy corporation building, but Isaac only insisted on grounds that he didn't like a place bustling with people all the time. The Japan trip had given him some shock.

So now Hayden Games had its own console. Phoenix. He didn't like it. The system was outdated, graphics and performance level were far below that of Takk and Light Complex. He was going to upgrade it by mixing all the junk Hayden Games had developed. No need to change the name, he thought, I don't want to jeopardize the brand name of this thing. Now to write some letters. Even thought he knew Kenta wasn't a secretary, he was still going to send letters to him.

Dear Mr. Kenta:

As you may already know. Hayden Games has bought Zabriske Entertainment and have become Hayden Entertainment. However, we will still honor the contract and GENOA and The Eight Ocean, and proposed The Order of the Ferrets will be Light Complex exclusive, of course we will still get 50% of the profit. So nothing has changed.

All the best,
Isaac Hayden

Post from the Swampwolf Industries employee blog page:

I'm Rolland Jones. I am the lead programer and part of the design team for Runabout Wolf. Kiran Hall has a fun game thought up and is full of ideas at our weekly meetings. He honored me with the job of leading the programing team and I work closely with all the other teams.

Currently we have just started with the basic ideas of what we want in the game. Runabout as a character is still under design with the art team, but we want him to look natural both on two and four legs with fluid movement between the two. The aim is towards a slightly cartoon-ish style, and so we are planning levels with that in mind. Each level will have a different feel to it, but all will maintain the same play style.

We hope to have a fully interactive enviroment while maintaining the natural feel of a simple easy to play platformer. Keep watch of this blog for future updates on our progress.

Runabout Wolf, I have noticed, appears to be developing for all three consoles. Could we interest you in exclusivity for the Light Complex?
