UK film director has requested the rights to make a movie out of the Jet Stream franchise. No word yet on the conclusion of the talks as Digi Forge owns the rights to the franchise.

Digi Forge is pleased to allow such a film to be made. We are willing to sign a deal on royalties only. All we ask for is a small percentage of any profits the film eventually makes, which will be shared with our asociates, Destiny Games. We will not ask for any upfront payment for use of the franchise.

To Big 3

We are selling exclusive rights, starting at 3000

To Nuclear Kid Industries
From Digi Forge

We are interested in Deathmatch, however we do not expect to have $3000 available this quarter due to our other commitments. We will need to consult our financial advisors. In any case, we wish Nuclear Kid Industries all the best with this project.

@Lucky: I'm not exactly quiting this, mainly due to the fact of how low key it is. I'm giving you one single instructinon to hold over Seraphim Studios until my return: advertise and research graphics. Other than finishing Gilgamos, of course.

I'm a little bit confused what to do when the game is finished- should I beat someone's door down to sell the game, or should I let the reverse happen?

Once released you can still market it for a while depending on sales and popularity.

Lucky, can you get on AIM? I have something to ask of you.

Oh Moose, ZC II is for Light Complex only

@Lucky, am I right in thinking it will take 4.5 years to develop my console? Is there any way I can speed that up?

@Lucky, am I right in thinking it will take 4.5 years to develop my console? Is there any way I can speed that up?

Money spent in other research could give it a random turn or two speed up. I should probably reduce it though. Along with the Handhelds. I just didn't want people coming out with new consoles like right away. 4.5 years is about right. Giving your console a good 6 year run. But I will reduce the production by 1 year.

EDIT: Reduced it by 5 turns of production. Also reduced the Phoenix Light by 3.

The screen shows Gladius, Ether, and Assisi walking towards a hawker’s mobile stand. The stand is faux bamboo with red lanterns hanging from the slopped roof. A red curtain with the Japanese characters for “Soba” on it goes around the top, reaching halfway to the ground, giving the customers some privacy from the street as they eat. Only a few people are visible on the streets and the surrounding scene is dark, with small puddles of light cast by streetlamps. Together, these clues indicate that it is getting late. The three characters reach the stand, lifting up the curtain and ducking inside.

Inside, the a slightly overweight man wearing an apron is seen, separated from the customers by a flat stove on top of which a few noodles are cooking. There are no other customers. At the three’s entrance, the man looks up.

“Sorry, we’re closed.”

The three sit on the wooden stools in front of the counter, with Gladius in the middle sitting opposite of the place where the cook is standing.

“That’s okay, we’re not here for the food.” Gladius replied with what was supposed to pass for a sweet smile on his face. “We were actually hoping to meet some of your clientele.”

The cook looked up with a startled look before quickly looking down. “Afraid I can’t help you there, nothing but businessmen and students eat here. And as you can see, we’re closed, so nobody’s here. Try coming back at noon, that’s our busiest time, might find who you’re looking for then.”

Gladius drummed his fingers on the wooden eating counter that separated him from the sizzling noodles on the stove. “No, I think you can help me. Ever heard of the name ‘Iao?’”

“No, can’t say I have.”

Gladius sighed. “To bad for you.” With a sudden movement, Gladius reaches over the stove, grabbing the cook’s jacket. With the cook securely in his grasp, Gladius uses his left hand to grab the back of the cook’s head. Letting go of the jacket, Gladius uses both hands to force the cook’s head downward towards the sizzling stove, provoking incoherent screams from the cook.

Meanwhile, Ether had grabbed a pair of chopsticks, using them to grab some of the noodles from the stove.
“Father Luck isn’t going to be happy. You know how he doesn’t like torture.” He observed before sticking the noodles in his mouth.

Gladius shrugged, his grip not loosening on the cook.
“Remind me to mention it in confession. If I tell him during confession he has to forgive me, I think its one of the rules.” Turning his attention back to the cook, he gave a little shake, the cooks face coming dangerously close to the stove. Several drops of sweat fell from the cook’s face, causing a small stream of smoke to shoot up as it hit the stove. “Now tell me about Iao.”

“I don’t know anything, I swear.” The view switches to a close-up of Gladius’ face, betraying no emotion. From off the screen, you hear a sizzling noise, followed closely by a scream. The camera switches so that the cook can again be seen. Now, he has an ugly burn mark across most of his cheek.

“Are you sure?” The only answer was whimpering. Gladius lifts the head, seemingly about to thrust it downward onto the stove when a noise interrupts him.

The view shifts to Assisi, showing him holding apart the curtain, peering through the thin opening that was created. “Sorry to interrupt, but it looks like we have more pressing matters to attend to.”

Gladius sighed. “I’ll be back to continue my questioning, you stay here.” Materializing a sword in his free hand, he slams it down on the cook’s hand, pinning the hand to the counter, an act which is accompanied by the cook’s scream of pain.

Gladius lifts up the curtain, exiting the stand, Ether and Assisi following him. The camera zooms out, showing them surrounded as the video ends.

In Zombie Chronicles: Invasion, there were few vehicles. So, the next time around, we decided to put in alot more.

Spoiler :
Lopo.PNG

On the top left is the PAM 34, which would be an equivilant to F-200. The PAM 34 is able to fire continuos machine gun fire for 30 seconds, plasma fire for 10 seconds, and even has four missles powerful enough to take down a tank. It is a very fast plane, and is more suited to anti aircraft to anti ground.

The Zombie counterpart is the SABE (bottom left), a plane invented by Maxim himself. The SABE is actually more of a bomber than a fighter. It can fire machine guns for 10 seconds, but only 1 plasma shot before recharging. it has 2 detachiable fighter planes that will keep enemies at bay, but not enough to keep the much improved AI (Which by the way is handy as an ally, and a hard enemy) from taking you down in more mobile choppers. The SABE is more anti ground, but if it has a good bomber at the controls, it is the King of the Sky.

Second to the top left is the Chameleon. Its apperance varries on the climate, but that is its general apperance. 4 machine gun turrets will hail your enemies with problems, and then you can go for the kill with your invisible missles. This is one of PAM's choppers, as one can tell with limited armor and weapons.

Second to the bottom left is the Zombie Banshee. It has limited armor, and just shots plasma bullets. It is the least armed, with only 2 bombs, and very little armor, but it does have the highest of all air unit speed.

The top second from right is the Panzer XXIII, the heaviest tank in the game. One shot of this, and anything and everything is going down; Lazer tank, aircraft, infantry, everything. Its speed isn't too bad either. However, their are very few of these, because PAM's limited resources makes it impossible for them to produce the Panzer XXIII, and only those saved from the battlefields of Earth have made it to the PAM Strategic Command Center. Expect a handful of them.

Below the Panzer XXIII is the Cossak, an invention of Haib, the prophet of Wisdom. The Cossak has armor peircing turrets that will keep Panzers away, but its key feature is that it has two towers for missles. You can attack both the air and ground vehicles with this baby!

If you turn your attention to the two bikes, the Human Yamanoto, and the Zombie Rommel, these are just bikes with turrets on both ends. Nothing special.

The Orange and Black tank is the Lazer Tank, an invention of Maxims most promising student, and one of the most recent to die. The Lazer tank is a weaker version of the Panzer XXIII. It will take work, but an experienced player can take a Panzer down in this.

A fancy invitation to the Gladius debut party has been delivered to your office.

(Story posted with permission from Lightfang)

Monday, November 16th, 2:13 PM Local Time

Andrew stood in an out of the way corner, his UNC cap pulled low over his eyes. He had been waiting for twenty three minutes by his watch. Of course, they were only thirteen minutes late, he had arrived ten minutes early despite knowing they would be late. Not that he minded. He knew going in that they would be late, so he brought his sketch pad with him so that he could get some work done while he waited. For about the tenth time in the last twenty seconds, he erased furiously. That over, he unconsciously stuck the eraser in his mouth, not quite chewing on the tip as his eyes narrowed in thought.

“Andy, Andy!” A voice caused him to look up. He did not particularly like to be called ‘Andy,’ preferring Andrew, but it seemed that he was the only one in the world who preferred Andrew, so he had almost resigned himself to being called Andy. He needed only a few seconds before he saw the person he was meeting. Walking, or rather it looked to be more bounding, towards him was a young woman, with two older men in suits almost running after her. A couple of nearby pedestrians gave her a funny look when she passed, which, from all Andrew had heard about her, delighted her immensely.

He barely had time to put his sketch pad in the backpack he was carrying before she reached him, sticking out her hand. “Hi, you can call me Aiko. This is Kenta and Katsu.” Suddenly she squealed, a high-pitched noise that Andrew was sure set dogs barking for miles around. “That shirt is so cute, Kenta, isn’t that cute?”

Andrew tugged self-consciously on the t-shirt he was wearing. “Thanks, I designed it myself.” The t-shirt was black with a picture of Gladius holding two flaming swords, the words “Gladius” underneath. Andrew knew that it wasn’t formal enough to wear to a business meeting, but it was comfortable and he had heard that Aiko didn’t really care about formality. Plus, it acted as free advertisement for the game, something he would never pass up.

“Kenta, Kenta,” Aiko was tugging at Kenta’s sleeve so vigorously that Andrew wouldn’t have been surprised if he fell. “I want one of those, get me one.” Andrew could tell Kenta was rather embarrassed. The poor guy. Andrew knew he was Aiko’s lawyer, but so far she seemed to treat him more as her personal butler. He hoped that she paid well at least.

“I’d be delighted to send some shirts over to your office.” Andrew offered, “Just think of it as free PR.”

“Super! Thanks!” Aiko smiled, an act that was no doubt supposed to cause men everywhere to swoon. Andrew didn’t swoon, but he did blush a little, he had never been able to say “no” to a beautiful woman, or really any woman now that he thought about it, when they played the “charm” card. “I wish our PR monkeys could come up with cool products like that.” At the additional comment, Andrew became puzzled. He was almost sure that one of the two men with Aiko was the head of the PR department, yet she so casually dismissed his entire work in one offhanded comment. No, Andrew decided, it must have been a term of endearment. It probably didn’t translate well from Japanese.

Rather abruptly, Andrew felt his arm being jerked by Aiko. “Come” she demanded, “I want to tell you my ideas for your game’s debut party.” Dragging Andrew behind her, she started rapidly to talk. “Over here you should place lots of TV monitors. The game goes on sale right after your anime show ends, so you want to have TVs so that the people standing in line for the game can watch the show while they wait. I know I wouldn’t want to miss the show, I just love it. Especially Lily, she’s so cute! I just want to hug her every time they show her. Of course, I can’t hug her because then I would die, but you know what I mean…”

“We’ll be sending our suggestions in hard copy form later.” Kenta interrupted, seeing Andrew struggle to keep up with Aiko’s stream-of-consciousness narration.

Aiko looked cross, undoubtedly upset at being interrupted. “Yes, yes.” she said, waving her hand dismissively, which made Andrew think that she neither knew how her brilliant ideas would magically become words on a paper nor did she particularly care. “You will listen to all my brilliant ideas right Andy?”

“Of course, you are, after all, the expert here.”

Aiko giggled, a sound that was much too high pitched to be genuine. “I know. Now if only others would be as perceptive as you, my business would be doing sooo much better.” At this she gave a pointed look at Kenta and Katsu, both of whom only gave a glare at Andrew as if to say Why are you encouraging her? Andrew only shrugged helplessly. Aiko, however, didn’t notice the exchange, already long into her next slew of suggestions mixed with random asides. Despite sympathizing with Kenta and Katsu’s plight, Andrew was fascinated. As expected of the head of one of the most successful gaming companies in the world, Aiko was full of insight. And, of course, her enthusiasm was contagious. Soon even Kenta and Katsu were caught up discussing the plans over the debut of Gladius.

Spoiler Marketing :

-Have the anime put up on both our English and Japanese website for free streaming, commercial-free viewing. The goal here is to attract viewers to our website, where they’ll hopefully look around and get excited about the game, and maybe even buy some merchandise from our online store. The copy on the English site will, of course, be with English subtitles and probably will be up about a week after the original airs in Japan.

-Tokyo Debut Party: I’m visualizing it in some kind of convention center or mall. Buy tickets before the event and get access to the event as well as a copy of Gladius: Gold Edition upon leaving. They’ll also be free VIP tickets (for the exclusive party within the party), distributed to members of Kauri Kiba Corportaion, Madhouse (who made the anime), other sponsors, limited press, and interested celebrities and members of the government. The “main” event will start at 7:00 PM Friday November 20, and include autograph sessions with the voice-actors of the game and anime; exclusive “debut party” merchandise, as well as the more general merchandise, for sale; large monitors to watch the anime when it airs, and enough Light Complex consoles with games so that everyone with a ticket can start playing the game at 12:00 PM, when the it officially releases.

-The usual bevy of advertisement in Japan and America. In Japan a couple of the ads should feature something like “Yet another thing to be thankful for…” as homage to Labour Thanksgiving Day, a Japanese national holiday which falls on the Monday after the release.
