I'm looking forward to the weekend :).

I would have liked to meet the devs on thursday or friday, but this is the first year in the last 5 years, where i have a full time plan in this week, great .
Additionally, since the GamesCom is not more in Leipzig, i live nearer to Leipzig than to Cologne...man, that's crap . They've really chosen the wrong year for the release :(.

one of them is GDR in action...

EDIT: I always fancied that GDR would be a strange unit - but that it will shoot in "X", heh...

Hey, really cool. I'm in Germany at the moment, but on the other side of the republic in Berlin, and no way I can make it over. I'll be sitting at the Fantasy Filmfest thinking of you guys.

(Could I, uh, trouble you to ask about the Mac version? That's sort of my most pressing worry at the moment. Vielen Dank!)

Most are from the E3 demo but I don't remember seeing the ones with the jet fighter before.

On the pic with the battle ship you can really see a lot of detail if all those turrets would move in combat.
There is a odd graphical glitch to the left of the infantry or is that a sandbar?
Are the birds above the helicopter just flying around the shore or are they attached to the fish resource?

Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat. Any other year I could've gone on a weekday. Oh well, that's life. Maybe we can go together again on a weekday next year to see the first expansion ;)

I smell a conspiracy from Firaxis' side :mischief:....

    Just kidding :D.

Unlikely, that i'll visit the gamescom next year again, but you never know.

And another thing: I caught a cold, what a luck . I hope that it will not strike me harder at the weekend, that would be the last thing i need.

We have to say thanks to Locutus for his organization skill and to 2K for allowing it, our "reporter" is back.

At the moment there's only a german version of his "article" available (here; translation will probably come in the next days by me, if he doesn't have an english version by himself), and he's more talking about the general feeling than about special details, but it's interesting to read :).
