Gandhi, you jerk!

Trade Mission. I like that plan bettter. (perhaps to Hammy's island? get us alot of extra gold?)

I say settle there, get choke point, Settle the land's between us and Gilga like heck. Remember to close borders with gilga so he doesn't bring a settler through us to the south.

Turn 0: (Turn 140, 600 AD)
Varanasi founded, starts granary

Not sure about the location of the barb city Aryan, I think it should be 1 or 2 tiles south

GM moves south to be picked up by galley, trade mission to Babylon

Turn 1:
Harbor done in Delhi, start Market

Turn 2: MC in, start CS
Forge started in New Delhi

Turn 4: Gilgamesh wants Compass. I believe it's part of our 2 faced nature that we give it to him so I do. He gets my vote as 1st person we're a jerk to.
Hanging Gardens BIADL

Turn 7: Settler started in Calcutta
Taoism FIADL

Turn 9: India now holds 2 million souls

Turn 10: CS in, change to Bureacracy. Set research to Machinery for Optics and Caravels but the next person can change.
GM reaches Hammurabi and unloads in Akkad. +1300 gold, may be more in Babylon.
Research at 80% for a -1 GPT deficit

Whoa, I'm looking over the save and we kick ass. Time to start messing with people. We should start a culture war against the Sumerians and see what damage some spies can do to Babylon. Hammy has a tech we can steal.

We are way out front in techs, lets get caravels so we can circumnavigate and convert the rest of the world, but much more than that and we are just asking for others to make more tech demands.

Same with the merchant, I'm not sure what we will do with the 2000 gold except put it into massive science or espionage, are there no votes for a golden age?

I'd like to start colonizing, we can get marble if we want. In the mean time Gold can help us build the Shwedagon Paya, after we steal Aesthetics from home boy.

Also it looks like we should try to convert Hammerabi, otherwise he's just never going to like us much.

Golden Age is fine with me, it just means we can get out more settlers and that we can build in our big continent.

I feel a GM is more valuable than a Golden Age (for that I like Prophet or Artist more) but I don't want to say it's a mistake. Next player decides :)

Playing now.

Ok, turns are getting complicated so I say lets cut down on the turn reports and stick to plans, note worth developments and any events.

800: changed Vijay to galley, Delhi to archer, started fort just behind Calcutta, rushed library in Bombay. I also set science and espionage at 40% and split it equally between our two buds.

820: 3 barbarian spears appear north of Vara. Bombay finishes Library and starts harbor, New Delhi finishes Forge and starts missionary, Delhi finished archer starts spy. Rushed Granary in Pata. Decided to cash in Merchant after all. Were philosophical and already got a prophet well under way back home. Espionage upped to 60.

840: Court started in Pata and Delhi. Trade clams to Babylon for 2 gpt, gold to Sumeria for 2 gpt. (Sumeria is quite tough by the way.)

860: 3 barb spears die at the foot of gold hill in Vara.

880: Harbor started in New Delhi. Settler finished, Swordsman started in Calcutta.

900 Delhi starts spy, settler and missionary hop in a galley and head out to the Great White North to get us some Marble. Finish fort! Canal is now open in Calcutta. The celebrations are a flop. A few kids skip school to jeer at the dignitaries “You jerks! Why don’t you just sail through the city?” Switch civics from slavery to caste system. Those kids are caste as public lavatory scrubbers. But in Bombay 3 fisherman are made into artists. Light fixtures adorned with clam shells quickly become the fashion.

920: Archer finished, settler started in Delhi.

940: Swordsman started in New Delhi.

960:Vara finishes granary starts court.

980: Settler finished, Delhi starts another.

1000 Agra settled on site 7.

Both galleys are set on auto move just so you can see what my plans were. The one near Ghuzz is going to settle on the Marble. The other one will drop a spy in Babylon then deliver a defender to Marble city, maybe pop that hut if you can. Another galley is under construction to bring a pair of maces and sweep up all those barb cities. We have 3 axes ready to destroy Arian on our own continent. Plenty of money for upgrades if you want.

We’ll have a GP in 8 turns. I was thinking of a golden age for him. We can sweep up some wonders with it especially if we get the marble. Should be able to finish Mausoleum before it’s over so that means a 12 turn GA.

That’s good because the GA now also increases GP points. Bombay is working to get us an artist to drop a culture bomb on Summeria. A settler will be produced next turn in Delhi to settle in the indicated spot.

The GA will also be an opportunity to build the Forbidden palace in Vara, we must finish one more court house to enable it.

Our spy just got to Sumeria’s new city. He was going to steal Construction, but check the costs. It gets 10% cheaper each turn he stays put and afterward our spy goes back to the capitol. It takes those slow ass spies forever to walk back though so another one is standing by in Calcutta.

umm we didn't need the fort in culcutta. You do remember that boats can go through cities as well? It can go through to the other side without using the fort...

Gilgamesh is pretty tough and I thought we should be doing something to weaken him. Disrupting his cities sounds like a good way of doing so.

But I was also thinking it would be fun, the AP gives us a chance to make him hand cities over to us if our culture is strong enough.

On another note I did a little test in world builder and the Mousoleum has to be finished before the GA begins to get the bonus.

It's in the report, I just made a mistake.
