Garden Gnome NES?

OK... I wake up, go to the NES forum to look for updates... and THIS crap hits me in the face? :dubious: :crazyeye:

Well, it looks interesting.

How is this for map?
The great Pink Death god.
The too colorfull forest.
The end of the world and the great tree towers.

It is also the first 3D NES map!

So what's that lump of crap on the right side of the map?

I shall take the many-coloured forest! The Guardians of the Colours! Woohoo!

@ Erik Mesoy; well, I've been "discontent" with most NES's (aside from notable exceptions, like fun and truelly originoal stEspNES, run by Esperito, and the very fun, and somwhat oirgional stNNES III, by Northking) considering that it I the one who is so bored by so many NES ideas, I dont think it comes as big surprise that its I who have come up with an "unexpected" idea for an NES ;)

@erez- I'll think about it, but the map is really far to small for what I planning...

@josefstalinator- so Gnomes of Compost heap it is then? ;)

Yeah I gussed it will be small... But hey! it's looks sweet... 3D NES map :p

Rofl i clearly need a spot next to the pond ( are ducks too big? )

Sorry Xen not my kind of thing. :) I'd rather be in an "insect fight NES".... and I reserve "black ants" just in case. Seriously, I think, this might not take off as it has the idea, but not deep enough to go on for weeks. I mean I tried my best with LoR game. The setup was more or less fine, but I could not keep inventing stuff + a lot of people didn't know the background. Galaxy NESes are surviving, but require a lot of effort. Plus they have a higher "creativity potential". ALL other unusual NESes I have seen here have died very soon (*speaks in voice of Morpheus from Matrix 1*). You'd have to have a very appealing idea and lots of imagination to keep this thing runnig.

On the whole I think the idea is great, but will not live long. I sure hope I'm wrong.

hmmm.... if this NES really takes off, the dominat gnomish nation by the end of it will become the local Imperium; a new NES will then stretch beyon the local lawn, tot he entire niegborhood; then I can see birds beign used as "transport jets" of sorts. but for this NES, thiy are just too big to be resource efficient for these small Gnomish "lawn states"

Tis sad you wont be joining GNOME-NES1, though if this take soff, I hope for your joining in any secondary NESes that might coem out of it;

That said, because I dont know how half the stuff is going to work (liek insect domestication, lets say) it will be part of th eplayers responsiobility to be able to "convince me" they could actually so what they plan to in thier orders, and on the timetable they set up for it on; because this NES is fairlly open ended in that most everything is going to have to be figured out, I dont need to much creativity, aside form th eoccasional random event- which is easy because what we as people do every day could have HUGE effects on lawn Gnomish civlization.

In that case I'm looking forward to reading what comes out of it.

heres the rough draft of the Gnome map so far- I got a house floor plan off the net, and put in a lot of extras- the flower gardens, compost heaps, trees, and other things still need to be put into the map though

no; people living in garages, no matter what size, are known as hippies.

that said, th einner house plan in mainlyl thier because some intrepid Gnomes might want to, when they have a large enough population, and enough money to fund a riskey venture, to go into th ehouse and find a few resources (like th ehousehold water turtles, kept as pets)

Can I claim the area under the deck and by the patio in the name of Smurfistan, er, Gnomism!

well, thier is no above ground deck; just the Patio; also, I dont know if I made thsi clear, but ALL Gnome nations will be required to have a name that fits in the nearest major terrain feature; otherwise I'll either change the name to a suitable close counterpart, based on where you settle, or just not accept the nation
