GeneralMatt's Creation Thread

Matt is not on the forum anymore... he talks through others, and right now he's working on destroyers (see above).

I have his email from our conversations, so I will contact him myself. No need for intermediaries like yourself.

GM has SERIOUS internet problems... he can't for the life of him log-onto CFC... he has other internet problems too... I told him his internet provider is a POS and he should dump them, but he seems to be static... not sure what to say, but I've kept in contact with him on models... needless to say, his lack of interaction here on CFC has somewhat dulled his desire to spit-out a lot of models... so it would be nice to get him back here somehow.

GeneralMatt is back. I hereby disclaim all liability for any personal injury that may result from his spending too much time here. :D

Yes indeed, and I was planning on not saying anything.

Anyways, just looking to see what is new.

The Coyote, thank you for that tutorial, Wolfshanze just got it to me and it works splendidly!

glad to help you with the tutorial and glad that your are able to visit the forum again :)

It's only a temp thing and a big pain for Matt... he still can't log-on... he has to use a proxy to get on, and it's a pain for him to use, and especially to post.

A preview of the next new ship in the works... coming soon...

What... nobody cares anymore?

Not one comment on a new model taking shape?

Okay... how about a little more progress then...

Another angle... model still in-work... refining is on-going...

looks good so far :)
Yeah... sorry Coyote... I got tired of waiting, and you seemed busy... so I subcontracted!

Feel free to peruse the "to do" list however, if anything interests you, just let me know... I'm good at digging-up all kinds of interesting images and what-not.

Looks good, but it will force the Wolf to add a cruiser class (or do you have one already ?) ;)

It won't force Wolf to do anything more then change a default model to civ-specific flavor model for Germany... because as you should know Mamba (if you were to actually play my mod), you'd know I've had a heavy cruiser class of ships for a very long time now... remember, my mod focuses on naval accuracy and filling those big gaps!

For anyone that wants to play name-games with the Graf Spee... "Pocket Battleship" specifically... the Germans officially reclassified all the Deutschland Pocket Battleships as "Heavy Cruisers" in February 1940... their tonnage was far closer to cruiser displacement anyways...

So this will give Germany a custom Heavy Cruiser (unlike any other nation). We do actually need more heavy cruiser models though... as you can see from my "to do" list, there's a lot of holes in the CA category!

Wasn't a name game (I even called it a cruiser myself), just didn't know you had that type already :)

You called it a cruiser in your own post, so my comment wasn't meant for you at all... I was just preemptively heading anybody off at the past... I figured it wouldn't be long before somebody showed-up and tried to call it a battleship... which it clearly isn't in tonnage or capability....

...but a darn unique and powerful cruiser it certainly is! :groucho:
