I too was tempted to have my location be from The Elder Scrolls, mine would have been from Morrowind though (BTW, be sure to check out zaps mods for Morrowind, they are great as well).

The poacher's camp seems off. We still have poachers in mordern day. Here is how I think it should be adjusted.

This would simulate the illegal hunting of endangered species and how weapons got better over time to make it easier as well as awareness for it for environmental efforts. I also would suggest that it cost a little bit more to build.

I can bring it into the modern era, that is something for the next update, which is likely going to be a RoM 2.9 update, but we will see.

I can do the the Dentist and Tatoo Parlor as stand alone minor projects. However, I have to start on adding Textiles (since Afforess solved the resource issue) as part of Early Buildings.

Oh yes, they are great :blush: Just don't send me questions how to solve the puzzles in the quests I made - I can't remember them anymore :D

I currently am playing with the Disturb the Dead and Tombs Expanded (which is very interesting with MCA) mods.
 
Events in my life are causing me to have to take a leave from modding for an unknown period of time. My grandmother is not well, causing me to not have the focus needed for modding.

I trust that my existing mods will be maintained in the competent hands of Afforess since they are included in A New Dawn.

Please say that, much less think that :). Think positive, please. GS just said he is on hiatus. Just wait for few months before determining whether or not he will return, okay? :please:
 
It's been several months, and I am returning; I would have probably returned a month sooner, but I have been playing Modern Warfare 2. Before anything else is posted, I have to thank Afforess for maintaining my projects in my absence. I also have to thank a RL friend who is getting into Civ, which pushed me into returning.

Since I have been playing RoM with AND during my absence, I can honestly say I like roughly 90-95% of the changes Afforess has made and I plan any future releases to require AND. Due to the impending release of Civ5, I do not plan on taking on any major projects, however, I am going to work on an update to Early Buildings which adds a few minor things (Coffee House, which I promised and never got to, Fishery, an upgrade to Fish Traps, and something an upgrade to Stoneworker's Hut; I also think there needs to be another early science building which obsoletes with Literature and an early building which is cheap and adds one or two hammers which obsoletes with Machinery). With that said, before I start on any updates, I first have to go through some of the threads to see what I have missed.
 
Recommend that you check out Killtech's Better RoM: BuildingUpgradePaths. He use a lot of your buildings and more and streamline them into an effective upgrade paths. Already included in AND 1.74beta5. He is working on updating it to newer version sometime soon. You should look over it and discuss with him on how you can help out with art and even your own ideas if you wanna :D.

Hey buddy! A lot has happened since you went away. I learned how to mod and adopted much of your stuff that Afforess threw away. You can see them in my mod called HAND.

That is pretty cool. I had to go back to my older laptop to salvage Education, and I have to check out the Palace mod. I do have to ask, why did Afforess cut some of the some of the Early Buildings? I know he did not care much for the concept of the Timekeepers, which was difficult to work in due to the Tech Tree, but the Basketweavers seemed to be a crucial building.
