Geographical Name Overlay

It would be nice if we could finally name geographic features in Civ. First to encounter a connected line of river or mountain squares gets to name them. anyone who conquers the whole chain can rename. It would probably need to have an on/off switch like the hexes.

I miss the overlays in Civ4.

Though I hardly used them. More drawing options would be nice.

As dexters says, this feature was present in Civ4. It does add some nice immersion, so would be a handy feature to add to Civ5.

I don't know...It would definitely add something quite unique to the game, but with all of the unneeded (and apparently wanted) things being added to the game, it might make the game bog down.

Oh, I don't think it'd be too resource intensive. It'd just be allowing for some text boxes and a toggle for them.

Would be a nice feature for Earth maps and pre-drawn fantasy maps like Middle Earth etc.

ok fine, I've already said I'm not a programmer...

That's why they need to bring back the editor, not some in game cheat method. Not because I'm not a programmer (well...) but so that you can make custom scenarios easier.
