German set

German set 2016-10-05

I just  all of your 3d styled cities, but the German set is really the most wonderful city graphic
I`ve ever seen! (better than Firaxis` too...)

This time you made a really amazing job: authentic and fine colours, not too much and not too less,
simply perfect! It really like those timber framing houses :crazyeye:

If I might request, I might ask you for a fort (and barrikade) graphic in kind of this style...?

Ty :)

@ Willi Tell: since your first ever post was about this, i will try to provide the fort/barricade. I had been thinking of making an updated one as well ;)

:thanx:
I`ve been a guest to this forum for years, but now I finally decided to join (also, to share the few graphics I made in the meantime with the community)

Hellas!

What do you mostly like from this set?
Knowing will help me improve ;)

The color contrasts are perfect, neither too light nor too dark, as are the hues of the brown/gray/off-white.

Best,

Oz

Your cities are beautifull, but i have trouble for adding them in the existing cities set. For replace de med european with this one, for example.

Problem is : Palettes don't matche. If i copy your in the European, the colors are changed.

:(

You have to create a new file for them, if you plan to use them with other cities. You copy/paste first onto a file that has true colors, then save with a 256-color palette. A number of programs do that, such as the freeware Gimp.

However chances are that at any rate they will not show like they are in my file, since that file already uses all 256 colors for them ;)

Oh man, this is truly a step up for you Varw! This set seriously looks fantastic, even better than your previous work. I believe this is your zenith so far! Here's why I like this set:

- The attention to detial is much higher than your previous work. I am a detail freak and am absolutely basking in this set's details.
- As mentioned, the contrasts are perfect this time, making the set much more identifiable.
- I love the fact that there is more variation in this set than previous ones, because it simply makes the cities feel more alive and dynamic. Having the same house used over and over again gets monotonous, which is not the case at all in this set.

I'm sorry, but I am going to have to drop your old German set for this one...it is just too damn good looking!!! :goodjob:
