Germany - Always choosing default instead of Frederick

I don't see any reason to choose Frederick.. Has anyone tried him?

What's the best way for me to "race" to Panzer tanks?? I want to stomp with them!

Wow. Frederick has one of the most powerful leadership traits there are. (Creative) and Philosophic is nothing to sneeze at (Scads of GPs to rush your techs and get your Panzers ::scan: ). By the time you leave the Ancient Era with 'ol Fred your cultural borders will be massive.

I played my first game as Frederick. I wanted a peaceful builder game with a space ship victory. For builders Frederick is awesome. The immediate culture helps tremendously in the initial land hunt and philosophical is a great people generator. The capitel with Parthenon + National epic gives 250% great people generation. Pacifism gives another 100% so the total increases it to 350% early pyramids make 3 beakers per specialist and bureaucracy makes the capital a wonder producing machine. I got more than 150 great people beakers per turn awesome.
It was a fun game. If you want to go for conquest or domination, Frederick is not the right choice.

Thanks, I'll give Frederick a try.. So Creative means my cultural will be higher and my borders will expand, what does Philisophical give?

Also, what techs do I need to get to get Panzer tanks? My strategy is to be all religious while rushing to get tanks :)

Sorry I'm somewhat a noob.

Just select industrialism on your tech advisor and it'll show you.

I just tried to win a conquests victory with Frederick on Emperor lvl and huge islands map but lost the spaceship victory in the mid 1800s while in the middle of my first war with the panzers... Bleh.

Philosophical just doubles your Great Person points rate. GP points are developed by your specialists and wonders.
