GGF1: Incas

It looks like a great spot 1W-1SW of the tobacco. Unused land and if you found justification on Ica so this site should be settled also.

Good luck on your 2-fers, 3-fers to get back into the tech race. F4 every turn or you may miss the opportunity.

holy cr4p man! We totally missed that. Once again barbslinger makes a good point, seems we were too busy worrying about Spain to realize what fruits we still can take from the homeland! Mitsho, it might be a kooky idea to send a settler over to where barbslinger recommends ;)

erm, we decided against this site at the time, because we didn't want want to waste production without having a good homeland. now, we have spain, we can settle it for commerce.
there is no civ there? really? can this be, it totally looks like on the minimap!

Is it really my turn again? So, yes, I perhaps have to play :)

mfG mitsho (means got it)

k, here comes the crap:

0 (550 AD)
I look at the islands there and see that what I tought was a brownish civ, are mayan cities.

1 (560 AD)
Barcelona: court -> cathedral
Seville: market -> barracks
Corihu... : court -> pike
Vilcabam...: wealth -> barracks

2 (570 AD)
Madrid: Aequduct -> barracks
Corihu/Barca: riots, i really have to be more up to the thing

A NORSE GALLEY APPEARS FROM THE SOUTH, I thought, the AI would not jump over risky sea?
they have monarchy, republic and construction, which we don't have, 1 bonus iron and 5 silks +15 gold. they have 17 cities, of which some are: Utrecht, Eindhoven, Groningen. Are the dutch still alive?) They are angry at us.

3 (580 AD)
Norse gally goes away
Santiago: court -> temple
Vitcos: court -> galley
Vilcas: court -> temple

4 (590 AD)
Vilcabam...: baracks -> wealth
Andahuaylas: court -> barracks
Ica: barracks -> library

5 (600 AD)
Seville: barracks -> university
Yes, We got Education this turn :)
Vilcas: temple -> barracks
Vitcos: galley -> university
in madrid the first knight from the wonder appears

6 (610 AD)
I move our units

7 (620 AD)
Santiago: temple -> barracks
Vilcas: barracks -> 'prebuild for pikeman'
Andahu..: barracks -> market
2 workers settle down in Ica (because we have way too much :)). I see that I've made a mistake (because they starve) and I apologise very much, sorry. production is changed to temple

8 (630 AD)
change production in Macchu Picchu to settler (want to settle the tobacco place)

9 (640 AD)
Barca: Cathedral -> barracks
Toledo: court -> barracks
Santiago: barracks -> spearman

We'll discover Astronomy this turn, so the spears will automatically change to pikes. :)

Could say we missed it - I distinctly remember pointing that out around 1000BC. Never mind tho...

Still, no worries.

The AI either jumps over risky sea, or the Viking continent is very close to ours...i.e. within 5 squares.

@Mitsho good turns, I see you tried using a new approach which looks pretty good. Also, didn't I say the AI might try to settler that land :D I bet the vikings r just upset that they can't have any of our land, which must mean the land in the rest of the game is taken! fyi, Mitsho, the Norse can get across ocean cuz they have Great Lighthouse AND are seafaring!

@Hakon oops, guess we didn't pay attention to your post like we should have :( And about the Norse ship, me thinx they are pretty far away because it took them THIS long to get to us.

@Team please begin a palace prebuild in Barcelona and get Tiwan ready for Magellan's just in case!

It'll be my turn, methinks, before aaminion?

Dl-ed the save now.

Turn 0 (650 AD): Sliders to 4.6.0 (-8gpt). No need to waste money, as Astronomy still comes in 1 turn. Change Huamanga and Vilcabamba to Unis (figured they could be nice). Palace prebuild in Barca.

IBT: Astronomy ---> navigation.

Turn 1 (660 AD): Sliders back to 2.8.0 (-49gpt, 6turns). Change Barca to Copernicus. Change Tiwan to Palace. Disband a swordsman in Huamanga for a pikeman. Go to Vikings, but they won't trade.

IBT: Ica temple -> pikeman.

Turn 2 (670 AD): Not much. Forget to trade with Vikings, but they won't have anything.

Turn 3 (680 AD): Settle Arequipa 1 SW of tobacco square. Start building a harbor. Sliders to 3.7.0 (-29gpt, 4turns). Disband another swordsman in Huamanga for a PM.

IBT: Toledo barracks -> aqueduct.
Andahuaylas MP -> uni.
Machu Picchu PM -> PM.

Turn 4 (690 AD): Nothing.

IBT: W00t! More crusaders!
Vitcos uni -> PM.
Vilcas cat -> PM.

Turn 5 (700 AD): Nothing.

Turn 6 (710 AD): Venture a couple of galleys. Civilopedia is a bit unclear on this, but they can go over sea squares now? Sliders back to 4.6.0 (-6gpt, 1 turn)

IBT: Navigation -> Engineering.
Madrid uni -> PM. W00t again! (Engineering from 5 to 4 turns due to Uni - note impact)
Ollantaytambo CH -> PM.
Vilcas PM -> PM (check always continue previously built units)
Ica PM -> PM.

Turn 7 (720 AD): Tiwanaku palace -> magellan (10 turns). Disband a spear in Vilcas for a pike.

IBT: Maya demand Gems. Refuse.
Madrid PM -> PM.
Machu Picchu PM -> PM.
Santiago Cat -> PM.
Vikings are building Copernicus - too late folks! Only 6 turns to go now!

Turn 8 (730 AD): Disband spearman in Madrid for pike.

IBT: Madrid, Vilcas PM -> PM. Fortify 19 workers on a hill cos I'm bored with moving them and there is nothing to do...Disband a swordsman in Vilcas and one in Madrid for 2 pikes.

Turn 9 (740 AD): We find Vadso S of Ica.

IBT: Madrid crusader and PM -> PM. Seville uni -> PM. Santiago, Vitcos PM -> PM.

Turn 10 (750 AD): Disband sword in Vilcabamba and Santiago for pike. Disband spear in Vitcos for pike. Sliders to 5.5.0 (+8gpt, 1turn).

No screenshot, mainly cos it's 11:30pm here on a Tuesday and I can't be bothered to upload one.

It's late, but at least we found those stupid Vikings

Told ya we could get this wonders :thumbsup:
But now, GO FOR SMITH'S TRADING COMPANY WONDER NOW
we can most surely get it if vikings dont have it! We should prepare caravels now too, put some crusaders and medieval infantry (start building these too :lol: ) and begin with the demise of PERSIA!

Um... Maybe we should wait until we can safely bring Cavels to Persia? Also, what's a PM? I agree, we need Smiths! Of course, Magellans is little more important, IMO.

lurker comment: im pretty sure you can make it to Persia with caravels they have 4 movement IIRC and thats enough to make it there...

that is correct about caravels
also, a PM is a pikeman

A PM is a pikeman. I'm not at home, so can't give you a screenshot - basically nothing much has happened, but some cities have grown...

It has been brought to my attention that the new 1.13 beta patch has just been released. And, of course, and brings all the FP and SMPHQ bug fixes we needed! I suggest downloading the patch ASAP!

I keep reading this too, but atari support only shows 1.12. Where are you downloading from?
