Do you find useful an option in Custom Game to choose if you want GDR in game or not?

  2. The GDR should be replaced with a four legged walking tank.

That I think would be good. The "hovertank" Idea might also have worked... after all it is the 'Fusion Power' tech. Some form of advanced Fusion Power Plant could be providing the energy for it to hover in that case.

I voted 'Yes' in the poll.

The GDR is the most (only?) ******** thing I have ever seen in the entire Civilization series.

I disagree! We should change all dull units from every era to something much cooler! For instance longswordman could be Jedi knight and stuff like that!

The biggest problem is it comes too late to get enough use. It should be coal powered, Gatling gun mounted, and unlock around Railroads on the tech tree. ;)

Interesting. Seems people who like the idea vote against this. Ive not seen a single person yet who liked the idea wholeheartedly but who still voted yes out of solidarity to those that don't and understand. Sad community this is.

Yeah that is so correct! because having a spacerace to alpha centauri in a faster than light spaceship is soooooo realistic and sensible.

  10. Don't forget world peace, and one world government, oh and world domination through cultural means... What has Sid ever done for us?

What would be a better option is an "era cap" function.

So that instead of cutting out the GDR, you stop at Modern Era (of course some victory conditions require you to get to a certain Era
    Tech-Future needed
    Diplomatic-Modern needed
    Cultural-Middle ages needed

    Conquest....No need

Even Call to power's " Alien Life Project " or Call To Power 2's "Gaia Controller Wonder" were more realistic than reaching Civ's Alpha centauri.

Yeah, after you have all the techs, excess Science can be turned into Culture

(as a side note, hopefully the Future Tech's have some benefit.)

Robotic spys, exoskeletons, remote control planes/tanks cool!
Even semi-robotic subs/cruisers, and full robot missiles.
But, Giant Death Robot, too much, seriously.
