If one of us is late to take their turn, you get to double move a small fraction of our army.
If you were to go first and happened to be late to take your turn, should we all have to wait? Or should we all double move you? Both of those are more problematic than just you waiting or double moving just one of us.
And I don't quite understand why it's annoying to play with 5-10 hours left. You're on your own, you don't have to communicate with allies, you can just come in and play without having to wait for feedback about what to do.
What's the problem if you can plan in advance that you'll be taking your turn at a certain time of the NEXT day?
Maybe you can also tell us your schedule, so people take you more seriously.
