Gods and Kings Manual

GS needed a nerf but seems a little harsh, I expected a Science boost equal to the Ave of current techs so still essentially 1 tech but only on average. But I think its ok.

Cant see the reason to pick any other GP than GE, hes easily 3 times better than other GPs now. And poor Babylon, it just entered the Ottoman league, or even worse.

Terracota seems to be the new Stonehenge now. Not good, hoped for a military trait.

What's up with the terracotta army? Mysterious bonus?

its just a massive culture producer i.e. similar to Stonehenge (since i Believe henge has been changed to faith)

EDIT: Ninja'ed

So what does it do now?

Its in the players manual you can get via steam by right clicking on civ v in your library but its like a average boost based on the last 6 turns or something, I forgot the exact details.

ooh, thanks. I misunderstood the initial post, I assumed I'd have to have G&K to see the manual. I didn't realize it was included with my vanilla game. Thanks, shall read.

Sri Pada/Adam's Peak got added as a Natural Wonder! This together with the addition of Colombo makes my Sri Lankan half very happy :D

Take a look at stele.
Now that is a good UB. +2 faith+2 culture 1 maintence.
Etiopia might even beat the celts to a religion.

Truble is how is byzantium supposed to get a religion with etiopia, mayas and the celts in a tiny map game?

I'm still downloading the expansion. I looked in my game folder and didn't see the updated manual. For others who also aren't seeing the updated manual, here's the link to download it. I'd recommend right-clicking the link and selecting "save link as" to save the pdf file instead of trying to read it in a browser.

Thanks :).
Moderator Action: Linked it in the OP and thread stuck

EDIT:

Can't find the spanish or japanese manual .
If anyone has a link...

gg science victory, Great Scientist no longer give free tech.

Wrong

:hmm:Where the hell did you ppl read that great scientist no longer gets the "free tech" ??

I looked thrice through the manual and it states that it still does.

I Quote directly from the manual-
Discover Tech: This will have the Great Scientist help research a new technology. It consumes the Great Scientist.

Great Persons no longer give golden ages (except for GA)... that's the only nerf.

Leaning Tower has almost exactly the Hagia Sophia effect  what does that mean for the Hagia Sophia?

Also Alhambra provides a free Castle, What about Himeji?

Hagia Sophia now gives you faith + a free Great Prophet.

Wrong

Wrong.

The Great Scientist special ability allows you to gain a lump sum of Science equal to the average science output of your civilization for the previous six turns.

The PDF documents have the CiV rulebook first. After it is completely finished you'll find the Gods and Kings rulebook with all the amended parts. Basically skip to the last 20% of the PDF to get to the good stuff.

I'm not entirely sure how to read that passage, though. Does it really mean that you get 1 turn worth of tech - the average per-turn amount over the last 6 turns? That's paltry. Now 6 turns worth of Tech? That could work.
