Right. Pi8ch and nonnob3 have just deserted the creation forum, and now Kentonio wants a handful of his creations purged. All of this was down to the banning of a certain contraversial creation team (but more of that, later). I'm sure that these arn't the only designers and modders refusing to post their work on CFC. Kinboat and Smoking mirror have supplied masses of WWII material that I'd hate to see removed.

I dissagree with much of the Third Reich Team posturing, and I know many of you thought the same, but they never displayed fascist behaviour, and the intelligent members of this site took them with a pinch of salt and enjoyed the amazing custom units that they put a great deal of time into making for us. This is my point. That now it seems that some of the best modders now regard CFC as a forum where they may well not be welcome. With the departure of the few, I can see others following suit as they support their friends.

I am not intending to start a flame war against the Mod(s?) who gave nonnob3 and the rest the push, but I'd just like to state here that I am dissapointed that the best Civ site appears to be actively discouraging talent.

Personally, if I were you I would consider this a closed subject and move on.

I have read all of the posts relating to the brief fiasco (at least I had as of the time of senoj's banning). IMHO, asking the Third Reich team to change their name to something less controversial was perfectly reasonable. Though heaps of philosophical and historical information was provided in defense of the name, basically saying that the term Third Reich does not actually refer to nazi-ism if you are sufficiently enlightened, the truth of the matter is that at least sizeable minority of people find the name offensive. So far so good.

When things went downhill is when people started insulting and flaming mods. That was not only pointless but also immature. That is the reason that people were banned. If immaturity and talent go hand-in-hand in some people, then this forum is better off without them, no matter what their skill.

Third Reich team chose to leave, and there is really nothing more we can say or do about that, other than wish them good luck. I am just as frustrated as you that a simple request got out of hand.

Why would we ever want to do that?

You seem to think moderators are responsible for the entire problem. That's simply not true.
