Before Election

House

Social Republicans - 360
New Communists - 20
Democrats - 75
Tibetan Independence - 4
Chinese Purity - 2
National Republicans - 123

Senate

Social Republicans - 42
New Communists - 4
Democrats - 9
Tibetan Independence - 1
Chinese Purity - 0
National Republicans – 10

As hundreds of millions of Chinese rushed to the ballot box to vote, each of the major parties campaigned harder for the votes going back to tactics borrowed from European missionaries giving out free food in conventions in the countryside. As the voting period of 2 days ended, politicians and people alike waited for the outcome…

Election Results

The Social Republicans were elected back strongly showing that the Chinese People support their Pro-Russian views and polls show that over 80% see Russia as a “close ally.” However, the National Republicans advocating a stronger military also did well due to the fact of China’s small armed forces compared to the other superpowers. The New Communists and Democrats have lost support, the former because people actually like democracy, and the latter because their anti-space program beliefs are widely unpopular. The Tibetan Independence group gained a little as the Tibetans were became louder about receiving independence. The Chinese Purity, well, is a fringe group before and still is a fringe group.

House

Social Republicans - 390
New Communists - 13

Tibetan Independence - 5
Chinese Purity - 1
National Republicans - 144

Senate

Social Republicans - 45
New Communists - 3

Chinese Purity - 0
National Republicans - 11

To: African Nations
From: Nigeria

With Kenya, Uganda, the Ivory Coast, the CAR and PRA all members of the ACP I hope the rest of you shall accept membership also. It is clinical that at this time we are all prepared to work together in a bid to foster a peaceful atmosphere in Africa.

ooc by clinical i hope you meant critical, otherwise the entire last sentence would make a little less sense.

For the record I put forward One Houphouët-Boigny for the election of President.

He managaged the Aids program in association, thus we beleive he has certain requirements such as: Being able to deal with other countries, Budgeting, Good Image and so on.

Ivo Sanader

The man who invented DemoSocialism and led the peacefull tranformation from Communim to DemoSocialism.Current polls shows he has about 42% of the votes and has great popularity among the common folks and the rich big corporations.

Ivica Racan

Racan leads the Democratic Union wanting full Democracy. He also has great support of the middle class in the country, but he also has the poor and the old on his side.He is expected to get about 58% of the votes.

January 31st
After a month of intense campaigns by both sides here come the election results:
Ivica Racan:49%
Ivo Sanader:51%

In a shocking turn of events Ivo Sanader has won the first Yugoslav elections. We will now go to his HQ to watch the celebration...

*In an dark office, the phone rings and Klerikov answers it*

Philippines Elections
Spoiler Images big, so it is in a spoiler :

The new elections are going to happen soon for half of the Senate. After that the Vice President must pass for the President of the Senate, and The Speaker of the House will be elected.

Major Issues

Mindanao- Of its status, the most important issue this election.

Development of Infrastructure and Mining- Large bridge systems that are planned to be built along the eastern islands to connect the main islands of Mindanao and Luzon, The plan was scheduled for over 10 years ago but instability in the south has caused the postponement of the project.

Political Parties

Major Political Parties-

United Leftist Front-
comunists0eg.png

A combination of the extreme socialists and communists. It has many of the most extremist leftists. It stands against Mindanao independence and for a state owned bridge project.

Liberal Democratic Party-
turtledp4qk.gif

A combination of the moderate socialists and the democrats, it stands for Mindanao’s independence and for a state regulated bridge, but not owned.

Libertarian Party-
lp5jv.png

A party for less state control, it stands strongly for independence of Mindanao and for complete privatization of the bridge project.

Rightist Alliance-
ra3pl.gif

A party of all rightists, except fascists, it stands against independence of Mindanao and for a state regulated bridge project.

Minor Political Parties-

Neo-Nazi Party-
nazineop18ul.png

A party of skinheads of similar people, it stands for the “cleansing” of Mindanao, and in general against all Muslims. They see the bridge project as “a affront to the Aryan race, by connecting ourselves to the animals in the southern island of Mindanao”

Green Party-
greenplant5lr.png

Mostly looked down on because many people see the Greens stopping economic progress, which the Philippines needs. They are against the bridge project because of environmental concerns, and have no opinion about Mindanao.

Mindanao Liberation Party-
minandao6mx.png

Due to the recent plan for the independence of the Mindanao most members have joined the Liberal Democratic Party.

Fascist Party of the Philippines-

A less extreme fascist party than the Neo-Nazi Party, but without anti-Muslim sentiment. They believe that the unity of The Philippines is needed in order to achieve greatness. They are however for the bridge project, completely state-owned.

National Anarchist League-
1088Anarchy.jpg

For the immediate abolishment of government, for the independence of Mindanao and against a state-owned bridge project. Works closely with the Libertarian Party.

(Due to my policy of only using real pictures for people these were all made by me, as such they are of less than fair quality.)

um... I think you meant "elected", Well for me it is my 2 year cycle for elections. Only half of the senate is elected so it is somewhat small.

You could just have votes be 4 years and save us all the misery of looking at your extremely challenging voting records...

OOC:Umm no that was a private convesation between Klerikov and Prokor,Klerikov was in his office in a skyscraper.

You don't have to look at them unless you want to, I will keep them in spoilers.

In RL the Philippines election system is based on the USA systems. So this is the system that is happening in real life, and i see no need to change that. Since every election I differently, it shouldn't be too boring if you want to read it.

To all nations concerned (not including Russia)
From the UIS

We are looking for formal trade relations with those nations not closely aligned to the imperialist nation of Russia. Anyways if you are intrested please reply. Mind you we do not mind if you have relations with Russia but we have learned to do so is at our own peril due to their actions and thus do not.
