FAREWELL SPEECH OF COLONEL GADDAFI OF LIBYA, INTERIM PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED ISLAMIC STATES
Me fellow citizens,
My tenure as first the chariman of the UIA Alliance and then Interim President for the Constituona Convention for a 'United Islamic States' We have made the Muslim world, now at peace, a beakon in this dark world. We have made the United Islamic States independent of the Communist Coalition, the ADEPTO alliance and also able to defend oursleves from any threat that occurs.
I would have to say I have five crowining moments as Chairman of the United Islamic States. The first would have to be the defeat of the Spainish Army in the Arabic Penninsula. This was the first light at the end of the tunnel. The Spainish were driven from our hearland and now only occupied our brothers in North Africa. From then the war became winnable.
My second crowning moment, though I loathe the repurcussions is the Treaty of Yatala. It ended the terrible chemical and biological warfare that was wrought on both Spain and the UIS. Entire villages were wiped out, and nuclear war occured. We can never allow this to occur again.
My third crowining moment would have to be the creation of the UIS, The constitution would be the benefit of all and the testimony that it passed without much dissent within those who genuinley wanted to be part of this union.
My fourth crowining moment would have to be the creation of the intermim Presidency, Conggress and getting that Budget passed through Congress. Truly the first elected COngress and Presidency will carry on this torch.
Lastly my crowning moment is tonight. As I retire back to a role in the Libyan National Guard, I know that the United Islamic States will be democratic, and I know that all the people of the book, Jews, Muslims and Chiristians who live within our borders will be secure in the knowledge that along with them all other faiths will not be persecuted in UIS territory.
I also use this, my retirement from the Presidency speech that the use of weapons of mass destruction is wrong. The hurt is causes and the fact that it damages this planet for all, is not the desired affect of any war, although war is horrendous. We have seen three nations this year give up their WMD programs, Spain, UIS and AF have all done the right thing. WHEN WILL THE REST OF THE WORLD DO SO?
We have therefore asked that every nation that has WMD to meet in a disarmament confrence in Cairo, and we all talk seriously about sitting down and destroying all WMD from this world.
We also call for all nations to Sign the Treaty of Cairo, promising that all WMD will be destroyed and that no nation shall pursue or strive for WMD.
Finally I would like to think that the peaceful arrangements we have with Spain (DMZ, NAP), Israel (NAP and Jeruselum), India (NAP, DMZ) and African Federation (DMZ, NAP) will continue flourish. I also sincerley hope that the CER will end the circil ensuring every nation with a land border with the UIS has a NAP with them.

Good Evening, my comrades in arms.
I, and my cabinet, have made a number of important decisions concerning our country.
Firstly: of things social.
We have decided to abolish the death penalty. This barbarous practce has no place in Europe, and it never will. I am sure this will elate you, as we are one of the most socially adapted countries on earth.
Secondly, the private ownership of guns will also be abolished. Some of you may groan at this, but we are Europe, not some Yee-Haa cowboys. We do not want accidents. Granted, we are surrounded by hostiles, but our brave men in blue and khaki will take care of this. We will become at the forefront of rights.
Secondly: News from the front.
Our men have fough hard and long. In fact, we are close to winning. However, a henious terrorist group have threatened to assault us if we continue with the deposition of this dictator, and the reunification that is rightly ours. I am currently in the process of deciding whether to capitulate into the demands of said terrorist group, who are motivated by no ideology, but the lust of cold hard money.
If we withdraw, it is not a defeat, but a voluntary step back. For when we take a step back, we take two forwards.
I say this to our brethen Hungarians: Throughout history, you have been screwed over! WWI! WWII! Let it not happen again! We should unite, to form the empire we once were, and will be! Long live Osterreich!

World Weekly News - January 18th, 1969
Financial Crisis hits the African Federation!
I a very shocking, and random turn of events, a Financial Crisis is gripping the AF, and threatens to send the whole region back into dire poverty. It all started with what we think was the ALF. They launched a major against some of the largest African Federation Banks, stealing at least 5 eco, which is the single largest bank heist in the world, to date. They managed to cleverly infiltrate the bamnks with employees who had the access codes to the vaults, and then they literally came in, loaded up vans, and sped off. Now, several of them were captured by AF Security Personal, along with about 3 eco, but it was too late, the damage was done. Any and all trust that people had in the banks was instantly gone, and people went to banks in droves to take out their money. This caused a rush on the banks, and then a financial disaster of epic proportions. The banks soon ran out of money, and had to declare bankruptcy, with many eco of AF Citizens still in them. The Governemnt tried to step in, and forced the banks to re-open, and give people their money back, but this made a bad situation even worse. Scared by the heavy-handedness of the Government, Foreign investment started to dip, and then the AF Currency started to dive. Billions in investment dollars suddenly stopped, and umeployment started rising. The Government, being just elected, and inexperienced, were unable to effecitvely deal with the situation. The AF Economy has gone down by over a third of its value, and millions of AF citizens are out of work, as companies pack up and flee, trying to avoid bankruptcy. Currently, things have stabilized, but unemployed Africans are starting to riot, and demand that the Government fix this mess. International Experts say that this was coming, but they also note that the damage is not pernament, it can be reversed.
Ethnic, Tribal, Religious hatreds turn violent in AF!
In more bad news regarding the African Federation, some old Tribal, Ethnic, and Religious hatreds that have been festering for a long time are starting to come back into the open, now that the AF is at peace, and the war-time Military blockades and such are being taken down. Across the nation, tribes that have hated each other for ever and ever are starting to arm themselves, and attack each other. Christians, and Muslims, along with local religious groups are starting to organize themselves into militias, and fight among themselves. The AF Military is doing its best to keep a handle in the situation, but there have been many examples of where the AFA has been biased, or supportive of one side or another in some of these disputes. One prominent example is in the former Rwanda and Burundi, in which AF forces have been helping the Tutsis kill the Hutus. In some regions of the country, mass graves are being found. Says Military Analyst, Rod Greene, "The African Federation is a very large, and very diverse country. It is also very under-developed, for the large part, except the very south. The AF military is large, over 700,000 troops, and decently trained, but not large enough for the size of the country. It needs to be at least 1.5 million in size, and needs many more light tanks, and Helicopters to tamp down the fighters, and seperate them. The Government also needs to take a larger role. I wonder, actually, if the Government will be able to maintain control of such a large and diverse country. It really is a huge task."
Indians start demonstrating for more rights, freedoms, and democracy
Indians have started to take to the streets, and are starting to organize protests calling for more freedoms, more rights, and a start to partial democracy. Encouraged by the reforms and elections being held in China, North Vietnam, and Russia, Indians are saying "We want the same!" the protests have been very small, as few are brave enough to protest, but loud, and, generally, they are capturing the mood of Indians. The number of Indian Colunteers has also dropped, mainly as those volunteers decided that being with their families was more important. However, their also have been Government-sponsored demonstrations against Democracy, and for Communism. These demonstrators are also calling for the death of the "enemies of India, the USA, CU, Japan", among others.
Communism on the decline?
Communism appears to be a fading memory on this planet, as many nations that used to be hardline Communist nations are slowly introducing reforms, and allowing partial democracy, and more freedoms. The most prominent example of this is China, and the CER, and they have been role models for other Communist nations. Yugoslavia and Mexico announced some Democratic Reforms, as well as Czechoslovakia is apparently considering them. But, some other hardline Communist nations, mainly Albania and Korea are demanding that these "immoral and corrupt Democracy adventures end immediately", and that all good Communists rise up "for the Workers Revolution which will make Peace on this Earth!"
Mysterious shipping attacks appear to have ended
The mysterious attacks that were occurring against Merchant Ships appear to have ended, as they are no longer occurring. There were a couple reports of pirating in Indonesia, but that is normal. A massive hunt for the terrorists took place, with the combined Navies of Japan and India, as well as other nations, doing large scale searches for the group. None were found, but the attacks have stopped, which is good. Some speculate that they just went underground though . . .
Brazil launches satellites, but denies it
Several launches were spotted in Northern Brazil earlier this month, they were rockets, carrying what is suspected to be satellites into Space. But, the Government denies that they were satellites, they claim that they were merely "test flights" at their newly created Space launch pad. More details to come when we learn more on what really happened. If Brazil indeed can launch rockets and the like into Space, they will be the 5th nation that can do so, after the USE, USA, CER and CU.

Olympic Games to be held again - in Nagasaki!
In Sports news, we have some very good news for all those who think that they are the best in the world at sports - The olympic Games are going to be starting up again. These are to be held every year in different host cities. The first are to be held in the bueatiful city of Nagasaki, Japan. Goober Rogge, head of the IOC, which organizes these wonderful events, says that he is "excited and thrilled to have the Olympics up and going again. i never was happen when we had to shut them down after what occurred on 17/62. We think these Games will provide for a nice diversion from all the ars and such that has been going on, and provide some healthy competion for the world. I am thrilling that the Games are back!" According to IOC Officials, however, they are very, very worried about a terrorist strike, and security in general at these Games. They are calling upon the japanese Government to ensure the safety of everybody at these games, especially against a Chemical or Biological attack.
Peace Deal between UIS and Spain!
Spain and the UIS have finally come to a Peace Agreement! After about 3 years of war, in which perhaps as many as 5 million on each side died in the fight over the Eastern Part of the Sahara Desert, they have finally reached a peace agreement! It was negotiated with the help, or hinderance, perhaps, of the CER in Yalta. Acording to the delegates at the Conference, the negotiations were, at best, unruly. War was declared on everybody several times, according to reports that we are hearing, and everybody except the UIS seemed to unanimously agree that Ghadaffi was the largest stumbling block at times. He was being unusually stubborn, and kept coming up with new demands. Nonetheless, the Peace has been reached, and it is exactly what the UIS wanted. The nations of Algeria and Mauratania are made into seperate countries, as they were before the Spanish invaded them so long ago, and Morocco and Western Sahara are semi-autonomous Spanish Colonies. This region is very, very war-scarred, whatever villages and towns that were there before are mostly destroyed. This was ojne of the largest, and fiercest battles ever seen before, and consumed more men and machines then every seen before. The Sahara desert will perhaps forever be littered with the broken men, tanks, and aircraft from these horrible battles. In the UIS, however, things turned out exactly as expected. They won, or so they claim. 1 Month of celebration for the "glorious victory against the cowardly and evil Spanish" was claimed by Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani, as well as a month of moruning for the "brave Muslim men who fought for our cause against the evil and satanic hordes of Spanish barbarians".
UIS created!
Out of the ashes of this terrible war, what might be seen as a gllorious falcon by all Muslims has formed - the United Islamic States. Libyan Colonel Moammar Ghadaffi has somehow convinced all Muslim nations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia to join together in a grand alliance, of sorts. the details of how all these fractous states will work together is being hammered out, but, one thing is for certain, if they manage to unite, the UIS will be probably one of the world's biggest super-powers, perhaps rivalling the CER for sheer power. But, things are not going to go altogether smoothly for the UIS. They face religious splits, between the Shia and Sunni. Also, between the harline Muslims who believe in the Sharia Law, and the moderates. Only time can tell if the UIS can stay together. But, for now, this collection of mostly poor, and some war-ravaged nations seemsdetermined to try and overcome their differences.
Israel announces peace accord, Jerusalem Plan!
Israel has made 2 very important announcements today: first, it has signed a NAP and Peace Traety with the newly formed UIS, which is sure to be a major relief to Israeli Generals, and the world at large. The dreaded UIS-Israeli War is not going to occur, which is a major relief. Many anticipated it would, and many were wondering of the Israeli Defense Forces could hold out for longer then a couple weeks, given the sheer size of the UIA. But, it has been adverted, peace has been signed, for the first time ever. One major reason is that the palestinian people, living mostly in the PLO inside Israel, and Jordan, were mostly wiped out, and the few remaining have no desire tom build up again from the ground up. Also, Israel today announced wht would be done about Jerusalem. This City, Holy to the Chritsian, Muslim, and Jewish faiths is to be rebuilt, says Israel, as close as possible to it was before. The Israelsi also announced that it would be an International City, and would be under the control of a joint Christian-Jewish-Muslim Council. This is a major step for israel, and is being hailed around the world as the "best route for Israel to take". Many nations have agree to give Israel a hand in rebuilding thei city, and their shattered nation.
Nuclear Weapon destroys remains of Vladivovstk!
The Russian Port of Vladivovstk has been attacked by an unknown nation, and mostly destroyed! This port-city, which was badly damaged after the recent Tsunami, was just in the process of being rebuilt. No Russian Ships were in port at the time. Some were anchored in a near-by bay, but none were destroyed or damaged. Russian Officials did not say much about the incident, other then "Those who committed this act will feel the wrath of the Russian Armed Forces, and the Russian people! The perpetrators are Cowards, nothing less!" Nothing is know about who attacked, other then it was a Missile, a short-ranged missile that the Russian ABM System could not stop, or a torpedo that came from the direction, it appears, of Korea. No ships were in the region at the time, at least, none were spotted. More on this story as it develops.
Attack on CU Bunker bears fruitless!
Another mysterious vessel it seems fired upon a Commonwealth Union Bunker-City, but there were no losses. Apparently the Nuclear Device did not directly hit the bunker, but slightly missed it. The Bunker was perfectly safe, that is, no harm was done to the Bunker, even with the near-miss from the Nuclear Weapon. This shows that the CU has one of the best bunker systems in the world, and is the best prepared nation in the world to survive through a Nuclear Exchange. Both this device and the Device fired on Vladvivostk were small, in the 5-6 Mt range.
Container of VX Intercepted in Yugoslavia!
Yugoslav authorities say that they have intercepted a shipment of VX carefully hidden in a container that was supposed to go to Vienna, Austria. It was intercepted in the Yugoslav city of Ljubljana, and Yugoslav Authorities have taken possession of it. No word was given on where it came from, but we have work that it went through the Seuz, and could have come from somewhere in Asia, or Africa.
Commonwealth Union land Man on the Moon!
Well, it took a lot of time, and a lot of money, but they finally did it. The Commonwealth Union is the second nation to land a Man on the Moon, after the USA. It seems that 2 nations have now overtaken the Russian Federation as the leaders of the Space Race. The CU Mission was plagued by some electrical failures that almost made it impossible for them to leave the Moon, but they managed to do it, and are home safe and alive. They did slightly overshoot their landing target, however, and landed near the Coast of Mexico, which caused the Mexican Government to go on alert, thinking it was an ICBM. The Russian ABM system actually fired a couple rounds at it, but, thankfully for the CU, they failed to lock on, and some quick CU diplomacy assured everybody it was NOT a Nuke. So, the Cu and the USA have gone to the moon, the only question remainds - when will the Russians do so as well, or can they get to the moon?
Colombia falls to Communist rebels!
Colombia's Civil War ended weith, as expected, a Communist Victory. The FARC, or the Left-Wing "Liberation" Organization of Colombia defeated the last of the Colombian forces in a pictched battle. Indeed, at the final stages, even the most loyal of the Colombian army started to disintegrate in fact of the overwhelming FARC and CC attacks. Losses were light on the part of the FARC and CC committed some relentless Boming Campaigns against the Colombia Forces, and then moved in to secure the area. There were jubilant celebrations in areas that support the FARC, but many other areas are grumbling that they are going from a Facsist Dictatorship to a Communist one, and wonder why they cannot have Democracy, like all their neighbours. Some mass protests and demonstrations have started, but those are being supressed by the FARC and CC armies.

Russia appears to be going through a tough time politically, and many are wondering what the heck is going on. Russia used to be a Communist nation, but then they went through some reforms, and became a partial democracy, and had elections. Everything went fine until a series of scandals rocked the upper echelons of the Russian Government, and came to a clash when the Army had to be called in to secure the Russian parliament. When the Dust finally settled, a new Constitution was made, and Russia is more of a Democracy then ever. In fact, their Government can not be more accurately called a "Socialist Democracy", as they are a Democracy, and their economy and such is run in a very Socialist/Communist manner.

Yugoslavia and Mexico announced some Democratic Reforms, as well as Czechoslovakia is apparently considering them. But, some other hardline Communist nations, mainly Albania and Korea are demanding that these "immoral and corrupt Democracy adventures end immediately", and that all good Communists rise up "for the Workers Revolution which will make Peace on this Earth!"
Mysterious shipping attacks appear to have ended
The mysterious attacks that were occurring against Merchant Ships appear to have ended, as they are no longer occurring. There were a couple reports of pirating in Indonesia, but that is normal. A massive hunt for the terrorists took place, with the combined Navies of Japan and India, as well as other nations, doing large scale searches for the group. None were found, but the attacks have stopped, which is good. Some speculate that they just went underground though . . .
Brazil launches satellites, but denies it
Several launches were spotted in Northern Brazil earlier this month, they were rockets, carrying what is suspected to be satellites into Space. But, the Government denies that they were satellites, they claim that they were merely "test flights" at their newly created Space launch pad. More details to come when we learn more on what really happened. If Brazil indeed can launch rockets and the like into Space, they will be the 5th nation that can do so, after the USE, USA, CER and CU.

Olympic Games to be held again - in Nagasaki!
In Sports news, we have some very good news for all those who think that they are the best in the world at sports - The olympic Games are going to be starting up again. These are to be held every year in different host cities. The first are to be held in the bueatiful city of Nagasaki, Japan. Goober Rogge, head of the IOC, which organizes these wonderful events, says that he is "excited and thrilled to have the Olympics up and going again. i never was happen when we had to shut them down after what occurred on 17/62. We think these Games will provide for a nice diversion from all the ars and such that has been going on, and provide some healthy competion for the world. I am thrilling that the Games are back!" According to IOC Officials, however, they are very, very worried about a terrorist strike, and security in general at these Games. They are calling upon the japanese Government to ensure the safety of everybody at these games, especially against a Chemical or Biological attack.
Peace Deal between UIS and Spain!
Spain and the UIS have finally come to a Peace Agreement! After about 3 years of war, in which perhaps as many as 5 million on each side died in the fight over the Eastern Part of the Sahara Desert, they have finally reached a peace agreement! It was negotiated with the help, or hinderance, perhaps, of the CER in Yalta. Acording to the delegates at the Conference, the negotiations were, at best, unruly. War was declared on everybody several times, according to reports that we are hearing, and everybody except the UIS seemed to unanimously agree that Ghadaffi was the largest stumbling block at times. He was being unusually stubborn, and kept coming up with new demands. Nonetheless, the Peace has been reached, and it is exactly what the UIS wanted. The nations of Algeria and Mauratania are made into seperate countries, as they were before the Spanish invaded them so long ago, and Morocco and Western Sahara are semi-autonomous Spanish Colonies. This region is very, very war-scarred, whatever villages and towns that were there before are mostly destroyed. This was ojne of the largest, and fiercest battles ever seen before, and consumed more men and machines then every seen before. The Sahara desert will perhaps forever be littered with the broken men, tanks, and aircraft from these horrible battles. In the UIS, however, things turned out exactly as expected. They won, or so they claim. 1 Month of celebration for the "glorious victory against the cowardly and evil Spanish" was claimed by Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani, as well as a month of moruning for the "brave Muslim men who fought for our cause against the evil and satanic hordes of Spanish barbarians".

Libyan Colonel Moammar Ghadaffi has somehow convinced all Muslim nations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia to join together in a grand alliance, of sorts. the details of how all these fractous states will work together is being hammered out, but, one thing is for certain, if they manage to unite, the UIS will be probably one of the world's biggest super-powers, perhaps rivalling the CER for sheer power. But, things are not going to go altogether smoothly for the UIS. They face religious splits, between the Shia and Sunni. Also, between the harline Muslims who believe in the Sharia Law, and the moderates. Only time can tell if the UIS can stay together. But, for now, this collection of mostly poor, and some war-ravaged nations seemsdetermined to try and overcome their differences.
Israel announces peace accord, Jerusalem Plan!
Israel has made 2 very important announcements today: first, it has signed a NAP and Peace Traety with the newly formed UIS, which is sure to be a major relief to Israeli Generals, and the world at large. The dreaded UIS-Israeli War is not going to occur, which is a major relief. Many anticipated it would, and many were wondering of the Israeli Defense Forces could hold out for longer then a couple weeks, given the sheer size of the UIA. But, it has been adverted, peace has been signed, for the first time ever. One major reason is that the palestinian people, living mostly in the PLO inside Israel, and Jordan, were mostly wiped out, and the few remaining have no desire tom build up again from the ground up. Also, Israel today announced wht would be done about Jerusalem. This City, Holy to the Chritsian, Muslim, and Jewish faiths is to be rebuilt, says Israel, as close as possible to it was before. The Israelsi also announced that it would be an International City, and would be under the control of a joint Christian-Jewish-Muslim Council. This is a major step for israel, and is being hailed around the world as the "best route for Israel to take". Many nations have agree to give Israel a hand in rebuilding thei city, and their shattered nation.
Nuclear Weapon destroys remains of Vladivovstk!
The Russian Port of Vladivovstk has been attacked by an unknown nation, and mostly destroyed! This port-city, which was badly damaged after the recent Tsunami, was just in the process of being rebuilt. No Russian Ships were in port at the time. Some were anchored in a near-by bay, but none were destroyed or damaged. Russian Officials did not say much about the incident, other then "Those who committed this act will feel the wrath of the Russian Armed Forces, and the Russian people! The perpetrators are Cowards, nothing less!" Nothing is know about who attacked, other then it was a Missile, a short-ranged missile that the Russian ABM System could not stop, or a torpedo that came from the direction, it appears, of Korea. No ships were in the region at the time, at least, none were spotted. More on this story as it develops.
Attack on CU Bunker bears fruitless!
Another mysterious vessel it seems fired upon a Commonwealth Union Bunker-City, but there were no losses. Apparently the Nuclear Device did not directly hit the bunker, but slightly missed it. The Bunker was perfectly safe, that is, no harm was done to the Bunker, even with the near-miss from the Nuclear Weapon. This shows that the CU has one of the best bunker systems in the world, and is the best prepared nation in the world to survive through a Nuclear Exchange. Both this device and the Device fired on Vladvivostk were small, in the 5-6 Mt range.
Container of VX Intercepted in Yugoslavia!
Yugoslav authorities say that they have intercepted a shipment of VX carefully hidden in a container that was supposed to go to Vienna, Austria. It was intercepted in the Yugoslav city of Ljubljana, and Yugoslav Authorities have taken possession of it. No word was given on where it came from, but we have work that it went through the Seuz, and could have come from somewhere in Asia, or Africa.
Commonwealth Union land Man on the Moon!
Well, it took a lot of time, and a lot of money, but they finally did it. The Commonwealth Union is the second nation to land a Man on the Moon, after the USA. It seems that 2 nations have now overtaken the Russian Federation as the leaders of the Space Race. The CU Mission was plagued by some electrical failures that almost made it impossible for them to leave the Moon, but they managed to do it, and are home safe and alive. They did slightly overshoot their landing target, however, and landed near the Coast of Mexico, which caused the Mexican Government to go on alert, thinking it was an ICBM. The Russian ABM system actually fired a couple rounds at it, but, thankfully for the CU, they failed to lock on, and some quick CU diplomacy assured everybody it was NOT a Nuke. So, the Cu and the USA have gone to the moon, the only question remainds - when will the Russians do so as well, or can they get to the moon?
Colombia falls to Communist rebels!
Colombia's Civil War ended weith, as expected, a Communist Victory. The FARC, or the Left-Wing "Liberation" Organization of Colombia defeated the last of the Colombian forces in a pictched battle. Indeed, at the final stages, even the most loyal of the Colombian army started to disintegrate in fact of the overwhelming FARC and CC attacks. Losses were light on the part of the FARC and CC committed some relentless Boming Campaigns against the Colombia Forces, and then moved in to secure the area. There were jubilant celebrations in areas that support the FARC, but many other areas are grumbling that they are going from a Facsist Dictatorship to a Communist one, and wonder why they cannot have Democracy, like all their neighbours. Some mass protests and demonstrations have started, but those are being supressed by the FARC and CC armies.
Political Instability in Russia?
Russia appears to be going through a tough time politically, and many are wondering what the heck is going on. Russia used to be a Communist nation, but then they went through some reforms, and became a partial democracy, and had elections. Everything went fine until a series of scandals rocked the upper echelons of the Russian Government, and came to a clash when the Army had to be called in to secure the Russian parliament. When the Dust finally settled, a new Constitution was made, and Russia is more of a Democracy then ever. In fact, their Government can not be more accurately called a "Socialist Democracy", as they are a Democracy, and their economy and such is run in a very Socialist/Communist manner.

The leader of the Chinese National Party, the fringe, but very loud Fascist Party in China, has been assassinated, along with his top advisors! Tao Zeng hue was very outspoken, and unrelenting in his critism of the Communist Party in China. He had repeatedly received Death Threats, but repeatedly, and loudly, ignored them, seen shredding them in several speeches. The Chinese Authorites deny responsibility, but some suspect them. China is rapidly becoming one of the world's Largest Economics, as their increasing drive towards Democracy sees many more billions pour into China from Foreign Investors. China also finished spending several Billion on Farming Equipment, which supplied almost all of its farmers with new equipment, and training on how to farm the land more efficiently. China now has much more Grains and the like to sell, and is selling them en masse Internationally. This has caused a slight dip in the price of these commodities, like Rice and Grain, but the market soon balanced. China's Economy rose by 2 levels, or 15%. It is currently the best in the world for a single nation.

In North Vietnam, the first every Democratic Elections were held, but they did not go as smoothly as people hoped. Despite the slight irregularities, the elections went ahead, and it is expected that the winner will be announced soon.

In Bolivia, a shocking series of events has taken place. We told a story some months ago on how we suspected that Bolivia had some rebels in Bolivia. Well, Bolivia, at that time, vehemently denied it, and went so far as to refuse to allow the WNN into the country. Well, what we now know is that the Government was fighting a fairly intensive battle against rebels, apparently not Fascist Rebels though, they are Monarchists, and want to see Bolivia returns to the days of a King. Well, these Monarchists managed to do the ultimate Political Assassination. In one go, they took out the entirety of the Bolivian Government. It was in session, the People's Congress, and all the top Communists were in the secluded Parliament, so to speak, of the Government. We are not sure how it happened, but the Monarchists managed to fill a Tractor-trailer with Ammonia and Diesel Fuel, an explosive mixture, and get it close enough to the Government Buildings, and then detonated it. It produced a huge explosion, Mushroom cloud and everything, and, in one blow, eliminated the Bolivian Government. Chaos reigned, as the Bolivian military, which was already small from being taken mostly into the JCF, started fighting each other for power. The Monarchists, or whomever they really are, then started a full-scale rebellion, and took about 1/3 of the country. The General of the Bolivian Military has control over another 1/3 of the country, and the JCF tried to fly in several thousand troops. They managed to land a couple thousand, but they were not allowed through Chilean airspace. Chile declared that it would be an act of war against Chile, and SADETO, if they did so, so the JCF was forced to go through Argentinian Airspace. This wasted time for them, so they only managed to secure a small region of the country. this situation remains explosive, literally, and thousands of Bolivians are fleeing the country for remaining SADETO nations. Mostly they are fleeing to Chile and Brazil.

Poland experiences pro-Communist insurgency!
Poland, which was a fairly stable democracy, has started to slip into, well, not anarchy, but civil unrest. It all started when the pro-Communist Opposition party blasted the Government decision to allow SADETO troops "joint training excersizes" with the Polish Army. This was a sort of controversial issue in Poland, about 40% were opposed to it, as SADETO are views as Fascists, but the Communists latched onto the idea, and started beating the drums. In a series of marches, speeches, and protests, they decired the Government as "not standing up for the rights of the proud Polish people", and that "Poland must never submit to the will of the SADETO invaders!". They then started to get militaristic, and encouraged a "Revolution for the proud and brave Polish Workers!" Now, the polish people actually shrugged off Communism, and have been fairly prosperous since. The polish Government has officially launched a complaint to the RF Governemnt, but the RF said that they were not behind it, and suggested that maybe the polish Government should listen to their people. The SADETO troops are being used, along with polish troops to keep the situation under control, and the Polish Government has countered by saying that the "SADETO troops are here for peaceful reasons only", but has not been very effective at countering the claims of the Communists. Currently, an armed upsirising is beginning to startin part of the country, but it appears that the majority are opposed to the Communists. We will keep you informed on how the situation devlops.
USA and allies complete Space Station!
The USA has announced that it, and their unamed partners, have completed a Space Station! This consists of 10 "pods" all connected together, and contains enough room for Scientific Experiments, and living quarters for scientists. This is the first of its kind in the world, and true, it is a bit crude around the edges, and small, but this means that the USA could launch a Space Craft from Earth, re-fill it at the Space Station, and then have it be able to travel far further and faster among the stars. Truly, this is a big accomplishment, and shows that the USA is far ahead of the CER, indeed, anybody else in Space.
War in Hungary ends with surprising result!
In hungary, the JCF withdrew their forces after they managed to capture the Hungarian Dictator, and all of his top officials. Meanwhile, the full force of the mysterious BA came into Hungary, all 350,000 of them, plus their impressive arsenal of weapons, all top of the line, and all the BA trops are very, very well trained. The big question is where which Army comes from, it is very large for a Mercenary group, and extremely well-trained. They managed to avoid war with Austria by infiltrating Austria with their Special Forces, and kidnapping several of Austria's Top military Leadership. They then demonstrated the power of the BA on the battlefield, doing some excersizes. Top Austrian Leaders decided that, rather then be totally annihilated by this force, and be forcifully turned into the Austro-Hungarian Empire under the control of the BA, they should get out of Hungary, and try again another day. So the war-ravaged nation of Hungary is now under the control of the mysterious BA, who is promising the organize elections, and rebuild the nation. They have started rebuilding the nation, and the Government, and the shell-shocked citizens of hungary have mostly stared in awe at these soldiers, dressed totaly in black, organizing their country. The BA is reporting that mass graves have been found, and about 10,000 Hungarians have been shot. Also, stories of random torture by the former Hungarian Dictator, and his Secret police, are being reported by BA troops Many wonder, though, about the long-term future of Hungary, and whether the BA will stay there for a long time, or use Hungary as base for other operations.

In the newly created UIS, the Social Democrats, lead by Mahmoud Abbas, from Jordan, has won the election. Abbas is a fairly mainstream politician, and apparently is a fairly level-headed politician. Tragdor and his Reform Party have won a resounding mandate from the people in Acadia. Acadia, traditionally a more right-wing nation, have goven Tragdor, a very, very popular leader who is accredited with leading Acadia out of the ashes of Canada, and the clutches of the expanding Americans, is deeply Acadian, and is in fact a direct ancestor of the original Acadians who fled when the British killed and deported many Acadians when Canada was just being settled. Some are claiming fraud, as copious amounts of "Tragdor's Love Juice" were distributed to many supports of Tragdor, but, as Tragdor says, "this is simply the best Wine in the world, it makes people healthier, and more eager to reproduce, which is a good thing". "Iron Lady" sweeps Spanish Elections!
The so called "Iron lay" Margeret Thatcher, and her Conservative Party have done a major upset, and won a large mandate in the Spanish Elections. She campaigned for a Strong USE, and she pledged that "a fair Constitution thazt represents the beliefs and values of all Spanish will be written by my Party if we are elected." Mrs. Thatcher was one of the lucky survivors from the United Kingdom. Of course, this election was not to form the Governemnt, it is one stage in the multi-stage process in Spain towards Democracy. This new Parliament will be tasked to writing the Constitution. She beat out some Christian Parties, and the Fascists to win. Many were shocked at how poorly the Liberal Party fared, but some said that Mr. LePue was a very unpopular leader, and would have done a terrible job with the Constitution anyway. Russian Election results in no clear winner
Following the series of scandals that led to the downfall of the People's Party, Russia held some more elections, after their Constitution was re-written to ensure that the scandal, which resulted in the Army being called in to end the standoff, never happens again. The results were mixed, reflecting the mood of the Russian people. Vladimir Putin won the Presidential Race, in the second round, against Boris Yeltsin, and his party fared well, but did not end up with the majority of seats in either the Upper or lower house, which means some Coalition Bullding will be needed. The Russians decidedly rejected the People's Party, giving them under 2% of the vote. A new party has emerged, probably because of the creation of the UIS, the Islamic Rights Party, or the IPP. Also, stories of random torture by the former Hungarian Dictator, and his Secret police, are being reported by BA troops Many wonder, though, about the long-term future of Hungary, and whether the BA will stay there for a long time, or use Hungary as base for other operations.
ELECTIONS!
This is the section of the WNN dedicated to reporting on all of the various elections that are taking place around the world. It appears that Democracy is finally breaking out across the world, and so we are here to inform you of who is in charge of which nation.
Social-Democrats win in UIS!
In the newly created UIS, the Social Democrats, lead by Mahmoud Abbas, from Jordan, has won the election. Abbas is a fairly mainstream politician, and apparently is a fairly level-headed politician. He was involved with the Palestinians before the events of 17/62 occurred, which virtually wiped out the PLO, and most Palestinians. Their agenda of armed neutrality, and maintained a strong defensive force was exactly what the Muslims in the UIS wanted to hear. They came out in droves to support Abbas, who is a very popular Politician. His chief rival, Arafat, received a lot of support in Asia and Africa, though not enough to defeat Abbas. Arafat was proposing that the Palestinian State, but many Muslims felt that that would mean more war between the UIS and Israel, and Israeli allies, and that the UIS had enough war. Reform Party wins landslide in Acadia!
Tragdor and his Reform Party have won a resounding mandate from the people in Acadia. Acadia, traditionally a more right-wing nation, have goven Tragdor, a very, very popular leader who is accredited with leading Acadia out of the ashes of Canada, and the clutches of the expanding Americans, is deeply Acadian, and is in fact a direct ancestor of the original Acadians who fled when the British killed and deported many Acadians when Canada was just being settled. Some are claiming fraud, as copious amounts of "Tragdor's Love Juice" were distributed to many supports of Tragdor, but, as Tragdor says, "this is simply the best Wine in the world, it makes people healthier, and more eager to reproduce, which is a good thing". Here, for the record, is the results from this election, which had a lot of quite random parties running:

Upon news of the win of their great leader, the Acadian Economy rose sharply, and gained one third of its value in just 6 months!
"Iron Lady" sweeps Spanish Elections!
The so called "Iron lay" Margeret Thatcher, and her Conservative Party have done a major upset, and won a large mandate in the Spanish Elections. She campaigned for a Strong USE, and she pledged that "a fair Constitution thazt represents the beliefs and values of all Spanish will be written by my Party if we are elected." Mrs. Thatcher was one of the lucky survivors from the United Kingdom. Of course, this election was not to form the Governemnt, it is one stage in the multi-stage process in Spain towards Democracy. This new Parliament will be tasked to writing the Constitution. She beat out some Christian Parties, and the Fascists to win. Many were shocked at how poorly the Liberal Party fared, but some said that Mr. LePue was a very unpopular leader, and would have done a terrible job with the Constitution anyway. Here, for the record, are the results:

Russian Election results in no clear winner
Following the series of scandals that led to the downfall of the People's Party, Russia held some more elections, after their Constitution was re-written to ensure that the scandal, which resulted in the Army being called in to end the standoff, never happens again. The results were mixed, reflecting the mood of the Russian people. Vladimir Putin won the Presidential Race, in the second round, against Boris Yeltsin, and his party fared well, but did not end up with the majority of seats in either the Upper or lower house, which means some Coalition Bullding will be needed. The Russians decidedly rejected the People's Party, giving them under 2% of the vote. A new party has emerged, probably because of the creation of the UIS, the Islamic Rights Party, or the IPP. They want either autonomy, or seperation for Russian's Southern, Muslim-dominated States, and they faired fairly well, which was quite amazing. Here, for the record, are the results:
