Events in Russia and the Communist Coalition from September to November of 1969
September 1969
A Coffee House Outside Kremlin
A conversation between Vladimir Putin and Mr. Sergeyev
"Mr. Putin, the occupation of Central America is complete." Sergeyev was formal and abrupt, as usual.
"Russian forces control most of the territory, and new pro-Russian governments are in place."
"Pro-Russian or Pro-Communist?" Putin seemed distant, as if thinking of something else.
"Is there a difference sir?" Sergeyev was confused and somewhat worried.
"What?...Oh, that...Of course not. Russia stands for Communism and Communism for Russia my friend." Sergeyev gave the President a weary look and they went on talking...

The KGB office in Kremlin
Conversation between Putin and Gryzlov
Putin walked into the meeting enraged.
"What the hell is going on in SADETO??"
Gryzlov looked at him and said,
"I don't know"
Putin stared at him for a second, that was the first time he had heard that out of him KGB director.
"You don't know? You don't know?! Ha ha ha, He doesn't know! Who the hell does then?"
Gryzlov not put aback even for a second by President's tone replied,
"Nobody. There is some kind of secret league that has formed. A league that is aimed against the Coalition and that prevents us from doing anything. They are better financed than we are, and SADETO is in it. We simply cannot do anything about it."
"Damn SADETO, damn them all to hell!" Putin was yelling,
"I hate South America and the whole idea. Can people not get that I don't want to fight them?"
"Sir...I meant to talk to you about something..." Gryzlov looked worried
"The Coalition, isn't it? I know, I know, where are we going to go with it? And to be honest, I just don't know."
Later the Same Month
The Coalition Headquarters
Meeting between Bulganin and Putin
"My friend, how is the Coalition doing?" asked Putin as the two walked down a long hall.
"It is sick. We have to chose and chose fast. We cannot play both sides. We are split right down the middle, some want Communism, and some want reforms."
"Can we keep both sides?" Bulganin looked at Putin and after a long pause said,
"Of course, by military force, we crush the opposition and retain the alliance."
"And go back to the way Stalin ran things...Thank you for the insight." They turned different ways at the end of the hall.

Early November 1963
Istanbul
Mr. Putin's Official Visit, report by the Moscow Pravda
"Today Mr. Putin flown unexpectedly to Istanbul to discuss the future cooperation between the UIS and Russia. After a long discussion behind closed doors Mr. Putin and his Turkish counterpart gave a joint press conference. During this conference Mr. Putin stressed the importance of cooperation between Russia and the new Socialist states in the Middle East. When asked to comment on Communism's apparent anti-religion policy Mr. Putin joked,
'Communism? What Communism?' Later Mr. Putin has commented that there is a plan for creation of a Russia-Turkey alliance in the works, although refused to comment when asked if it would contradict the Coalition charter, which forbids Russia from entering any other alliance. Mr. Putin is due to return back home tomorrow."
November 1969
Kremlin
Discussion between Yavlinsky and Putin
"And you promise this?" Putin looked stressed and worried.
"Of course, we would like nothing better." Yavlinsky was no less stressed.
"You realize this means a Communist opposition that we must overcome, right?"
"Heh, we have always done that," Yavlinsky chuckled
"But not I, it will be harder to control now," Putin still stressed, and not amused by Yavlinsky's comment.
"Vladimir, listen, you yourself have said after Vladivostok was destroyed, we must stand for democracy and freedom and liberty. You want to take it all back now?"
After a pause Putin sighed,
"No Georgy, I do not. I will do it. Just make sure it passes."
"Oh, I will" answered the Liberal leader with a smile on his face.
November 1963
Coalition Headquarters
Meeting of the Coalition
Albania, Korea, and Mongolia, along with Greece, not in the CC yet, have come forth with the following announcement:
"Unless the sinful reforms towards a capitalist pig-dog hell in which big companies trample on the rights and freedoms of the brave workers in CC nations end, like in the Russian Federation, China, India, North Vietnam, and Mexico, then the undersigned nations will leave the CC, and form an alliance that is truly Communist, and not slowly turning evil and democratic. We feel that this Alliance no longer serves our purposes, if it is going to allow the big, piggish, money-hungry corporations to trample over the rights of our brave and noble workers."
Signed by Albania, Mongolia, United Korea, and Greece.
Mexico, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria all oppose the statements made by the above, and call for a Motion to expel those 4 from the CC, as well as anybody that does not allow reforms for the benefit of all people. Czechoslovakia is also announcing that they will be holding elections for the people to choose their next Chairman.
Mr. Putin commented after the meeting that Russia will not give up it's democratic reforms under pressure from
"the rabble that is Albania, Korea, and whoever else was there."

November 1963
Coalition Headquarters
Meeting of the Coalition
Mr. Putin himself flew into this meeting of the Communist Coalition. As he walked into the hall, most people were unaware of the great importance his presence was going to have. He moved to the Russian table and replaced the usual Russian delegate there. Just as Mr. Bulganin was about to list the agenda for the day Mr. Putin interrupted him, "
Excuse me Mr. Bulganin, may I have a very quick word?"
Bulganin stared at Putin for this obvious violation of procedure and replied negatively, but Putin was persistent,
"It will take at best 2 minutes and I guarantee that what I say will change what you are about to do." Bulganin glared at Putin, but allowed for a 2 minute speech by the Russian Delegate. Putin stood up and without even moving to the podium almost shouted his speech, such that it echoed in the great dim hall,
"My friends, I must inform you that the Russian Federation hereby withdraws from the Communist Coalition. Our forces in the JCF will be recalled back home and the INTRESA and COMECON organizations that are based in Russia will be reformed into Russian programs. The occupied territories in Australia and Central America will be administered directly from Moscow by the Russian government. I wish you all the best of luck. Farewell." With these words, the Russian leader sealed the fate of the Coalition and de facto disbanded the most powerful alliance in the world.
*chaos erupts as people mill wildly about, trying to figure out what the hell the Russians are up to . . . *
Albania, Greece, Mongolia, and Korea all announce that they are exiting as well, and forming Comintern, the Comminister International Organization for all the TRUE Communist nations.
The PRC also withdraws from the CC and declares that they will soon have a new Constitution to turn China into a Full Democracy.
November 1963
Shanghai
Meeting between Putin and the Chairman of the PRC, Pravda Report
"The two world leaders met right after the shocking events in the Coalition. It is not clear weather Russia and China will remain friends and unite in some other form of an alliance. All doubts were lifted from people's minds as the two men walked out to the press smiling after the negotiations. Mr. Putin announced that Russia and China will be paving the road to a more democratic and liberal alliance to replace the
'old, corrupt, and reactionary [alliance] that was the Coalition.' Mr. Putin is expected to formally announce it at his meeting with Islamic leaders in Yalta next week."
November 1963
Coalition Headquarters
Last meeting of the Coalition
The few members still in the Coalition assembled in a formal meeting following the events of the previous week. Russia was represented by an observer. Mr. Bulganin in his normal deep and echoing voice called the meeting to order and proceeded with a report, even though it was not needed.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have recently lost a number of members of the Coalition. The hard-line Communist nations have left in order to make the Comintern, and the liberal nations have left in order to continue with their progressive policies. Those who are left here are the moderate Communist nations. Over the course of last week, the Coalition has lost most of its fighting forces, almost all of its economic power, and de-facto all of its political weight. Therefore due to this turn of events this alliance can no longer fulfill the goals stated in the Article 1 of the Coalition Charter. Since the Alliance cannot do what it was created to do, it has outlived itself, and there is no longer a reason for its existence. I hereby disband the Communist Coalition, and free all member nations from any and all obligations to the Coalition, and the Coalition from any obligations to you. Are there any motions on the floor?"
"A motion to disband the meeting," came from the Rumanian representative
"That is in order, all in favor? all opposed? This meeting of the Communist Coalition is disbanded. I thank you all for your hard work."
Under the sound of the Coalition Anthem the black flag with gold stars and the hammer with sickle on it, the flag that so many around the world were terrified of, was lowered for the last time.
Late November 1963
Kremlin
Mr. Putin's Address to the World
"My friends, countrymen, and citizens of the world,
We live in a dangerous and constantly changing time. We have lived through the horrors of WWII, and the horrors of 1962. Following these horrible events an extremist Communist movement developed in much of the world, which dominated regional and world politics until now. Over the last few years it has faded and weakened, and the only thing keeping it alive was a de-facto Second Cold War against the forces of SADETO. No more. We have chosen to not repeat the mistakes that were made before. We will not fight another Cold War, and we will not have a part in the creation of another disaster the size of 1962 nuclear exchange. We refuse. Russia along with many other former Coalition nations has seen the road down which we were heading - the road of a World War between Communism and Fascism, the road of horrors, oppression, concentration camps and genocide. And we have made a turn. Russia will not stand for it. We will stand for freedom, democracy, and liberty. We will stand for liberalism. For a bright future ahead of us, and ahead of our children. And it is our sincerest hope that our actions will help create an era of peace in this world.
To ensure this peace, Russia calls upon all liberal, socialist, communist, or otherwise liberalistic nations to attend a convention in Shanghai to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PRC, and to draw up a charter for a new, strong, united, and righteous alliance of liberal nations in this world. A charter based on democratic principles. A charter that will protect civil and human rights. A charter that will lead us into the bright future.
I call upon all those liberal nations who hear me. It is time. It is time to create a future for our children. Do you want them to grow up the way we did? Hiding in bomb shelters, scared to death? Wearing gas masks and learning to shoot an AK-47 from the time they are 10? I do not. And So I invite all those who share my vision for a brighter future on our planet to meet me in Shanghai and to join our strength so we may overcome our weaknesses in the creation of a new Coalition of Nations. United we stand, divided we shall fall."
