Bulgaria continues to recover from Communist Dictatorship!

Bulgaria, once under the complete control of a Communist Dictatorship, is continuing to slowly but surely recover, as her Army swells, thanks mostly to volunteers. Bulgarians are volunteering in large numbers, mostly because many are otherwise unemployed, and they also do not want Bulgaria to recess back into the Communist past from whence they came. The Bulgar Economy improved as the country stabilizes, its Army gains control, and Investors come flooding back into the country to sell their products, and start up businesses. Bulgaria has a long way to go to completely lift its people out of poverty, but it is making some good initial steps. It's Army still needs work, as USE Forces as still needed to maintain control of some of the country, but that is gradually improving. If it were not for a couple small insurgencies and guerilla operations by rebels, one Communist, then Bulgaria would be well on its way to moving past its Communist days.

Japanese Plan to sell Cloned Animals raises fierce debate

A fierce debate is raging in Japan and in other parts of the world, and that is over the ethics of consuming cloned animals, and even about the cloning of animals itself. Japan has recently developed the technology to clone animals on a large scale, fairly efficiently, and they are marketing this technology, allowing private companies to clone animals, and sell them for meat. Japanese are fairly split on the subject, with just over half saying they have no problem with it, about 10 percent saying they have a minor problem with it, and the rest being opposed. Around the world, others have chimed in, mostly Christian or Religious organizations, to say that this sort of technology is “morally and ethically reprehensible”, to quote one American Pastor. Boycotts are being organized against the cloned animal products, which experts say tastes no different then the non-cloned version, but they have not gotten many people to change their habits. The official Japanese response is to assure people that the technology is safe, and not cruel, and to remind its citizens that they have a choice to eat cloned or non-cloned meat. That has placated some, but done nothing to answer the questions of many others. The subject has the potential to be a major political question for Japan, which might finally dislodge the ruling Liberal Democrats, who have been in power for more then 20 years.

Japan develops Inter solar Ion Spaceship!

Japan has unveiled its new spaceship, which is an inter solar ion-driven model. It's unique Ion-drive engine means that this craft can travel for much longer distances then conventional spacecraft using solid or liquid fuel, and faster. Japan now has an edge over most other nations when it comes to exploring space, thanks to its new spaceship.

Philippines backs down to barely avert Filipino-Mindanese war!

War was literally minutes away from occurring between Mindanao and the Philippines, until the Philippines backed down. It was all over a Mindanese Nuclear Power Production Facility, which, ironically, the Philippines built in Mindanao when it was still a part of the Philippines. The Philippines claimed that Uranium was being enriched at that facility, and demanded Inspectors be sent, Mindanao refused to allow Filipino Inspectors, but allowed Inspectors from other nations to view the facility, all of whom unequivocally said that it was not being used to enrich Uranium, needed for Nuclear Weapons. The Philippines had threatened to destroy the facility using Bombers and Short Range Missiles, but decided, at the last minute, to not go through with the plan. Mindanao had stated that this act would be a declaration of war, and said that an equivalent Power Plant in the Philippines would be destroyed in retaliation. It had also gained a number of allies to aid it, if needed. But the Philippines backed down, much to the outrage of many Filipinos, whom are very annoyed at the Mindanese Government. As we shall explain later, the Mindanese forced evacuations of Christians from Mindanao is causing outrage in the Philippines, and bringing political pressure to Filipino Politicians.

Mindanese Supreme Court delivers “Right of Return” decision, raises ire of Filipinos

In a landmark decision by the Mindanese Supreme Court, it has declared that “all Muslims forced from their homes by Christians aided by the Philippines have the right to possess their former property, and the right to forcibly evict, if needed, the Christians living there”. This is the first time that the Supreme Court of Mindanao has ruled on the issue, previously it was minor courts saying essentially the same thing. This ruling has caused outrage in the Philippines, with large crowds, up to 1 million at times, going out into the streets demanding that the Government do something about it. Filipinos are 65% “strongly opposed” to the Mindanese program of evicting Christians for returning Muslims, while Mindanese, not surprisingly, are overwhelmingly in favour. This issue is driving yet another wedge between these 2 neighbours. The other burning issue is Mindanao insisting that they have the right to WMDs, while the Philippines argues that they, in fact, do not.

China faces problems with Transportation, Health, Education as it economically expands

China, the world's most populated nation with over 1.2 billion people, is facing problems in several sectors as it continues to modernize. The most critical problem, at this point, is in its transportation sector. The problem lies not with the number of roads, China is improving its infrastructure and adding rapid transit at a breakneck rate, the problem is sheer volume. Chinese own the largest number of Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles in the world, and that translates into a LOT of vehicles. Chinese face routine traffic hold-ups, usually due to accidents, or sheer volume delays, and that is starting to have an impact on people's habits, as people must get up very early in order to make it to work on time, and the like. Rapid Transit in China is the world's best, but, again, it is almost always very crowded, and trains and buses routinely have to turn away passengers simply because they are too full. Chinese cities, which, at times, seem like they go on forever, make the problem worse, simply because of the sheer amount of people mean that getting from your home to work can be a very long way. 2 more problems cropping up is in the Health and Education fields. China's Universities and Schools are unable to take in the volume of students registering, as the interior of the country develops and modernizes, families send their children to school, instead of having them work, and University, as more of them can afford that, and this means record numbers of children are attending schools. In the Health sector, again, it is due to sheer volume. Hospitals are being built, Doctors and Nurses are being trained, but the sheer volume of Chinese going to hospitals means that facilities and resources are getting overstretched. On another note, China's economy continue to improve, simply due to the fact that the modernization of the country means that Chinese have money to spend, and they are spending it, which is spurring their economy to record levels.

WNN accused of being Conservatively Biased!

The WNN has received a number of complaints from our listeners that we are Conservatively Biased. We would like to take this opportunity that this is adamantly not true. The WNN Code of Conduct is very clear that the WNN, in all of its reports, is to be non-partisan, and not have a political slant. The WNN tries its best to achieve this. Some of our editorials might be political biased, but that does not, in any way, shape, or form, reflect upon the WNN as a whole. We would like to assure our valued readers that we do our best not to be politically biased. You have our word on this.

Nunavut launches ICJ case on Global Warming

Nunavut, the Inuit and Innu run nation in the Northern Tundra of North America, has officially launched a major case to the ICJ, which calls for the ICJ to implement mandatory Pollution Control measures around the world. Nunavut is claiming that Global Warming, caused by polluting chemicals and smog, is affecting their traditional lifestyle by melting the Northern Arctic ice, which makes it hard for them to fish and hunt Polar Bears. This marks the first time that this isolationist Northern Nation has made an appearance at the Court, some were even unclear if it actually recognized the authority of the court. Nunavut is the only nation in the world without a Military.

Mixed Results in CU Referendums

The Commonwealth Union has just held a series of Referendums in its colonies, the CU being one of the last nations with Colonies, and the results are, well, best described as “mixed”. Qatar and Guinea-Bissau have voted to join the CU, their referendums yielded in 54 and 62% for the Yes vote respectively, but the results in the other 2 colonies were not so decisive. They needed a 50+1% on the YES vote to join. It was 49.5% in The Gambia, and only 42% in South Madagascar, respectively. This means that Guinea-Bissau and Qatar are now a full part of the CU, and elect representatives to the CU Parliament. The Gambia and South Madagascar remain colonies. Many attribute the loss in the other 2 colonies to low voter turnout, and sheer apathy. The results are a bit of a blow to the Union Government, who has been advocating for a long time that these parts of the CU fully enter the Union. But CUers were not really focused on this, as we shall tell you later, they were too busy being enraged about Timor.

Outrage in CU over Timor!

The CU Referendums were overshadowed by one major factor – Timor. Specifically, East Timor, which was a part of the CU, until Suharto invaded, and then the USE liberated it. Well, in all this time, the Union Government in power in the CU never said a peep about Timor, they only assured CUers that “it will be back in the Union as soon as possible”. Well, that never happened. It remains not in the Union, it, actually, is in USE hands. The CU has yet to make a move to take back part of their territory. This lack of action, plus a lack of response from senior Politicians, has lead to an outrage in the CU, and the Union Government does not seem to be doing anything about it. The opposition Conservatives, on the other hand, has been hammering the Government constantly over matter, and their popularity has skyrocketed compared to the flagging Union Government's over the issue. Some disaffected Unionists might mean that the Conservatives could bring down the Unionists, force an election, and sweep to victory, all the while demanding back East Timor from the USE. The USE, on the other hand, has not made any moves to give it back, saying that they were never asked, and they are not just going to give back territories if not asked. Large rallies in the streets, and a multitude of news stories has led this issue to overshadow the Referendums (see last story), and probably led to the loss in The Gambia. We will keep you updated on this story as it unfolds.

OOC – Toteone, its like Japan taking Hawaii during WWII, and the US President at the time shrugging his shoulders . . . I think you can imagine what i will do if you don't do anything.

Indonesia continues to be nightmare as Aceh separates

Indonesia continues to be one big war zone, with nobody except perhaps senior USE and Russian Generals, knowing what is going on. The WNN does not have a real clear idea of the picture, but here is what we know: Aceh has separated, and is the only “stable” part of Indonesia. The ICJ held a Referendum there, and Acehians voted 76% in favour of separating, so they did. The ICJ then organized Elections, with the help of the USE and Russia, and a new Government has been elected. Also, the ICJ has announced that a minimum of 120,000 Acehians have died, the vast majority in mass graves. This report was released after the elections, and has shocked the world. Aceh is now well on its war to rebuilding, building a decent military to ensure that the USE and Russia do not have to station troops in it, and buryings it dead. Elsewhere in Indonesia, well, the picture is anything but clear. The USE has joined the Russian forces in battling the rest of Suharto's forces, but the fighting has been reportedly brutal. Street-street fighting in major cities, like Jakarta, is having a huge toll on the USE and Russians. Also, we know that the 2 are not coordinating their activities fairly well, the Russians seem to prefer using immense firepower to subdue the enemy, the USEians seems to prefer troops. These conflicting tactics have lead to friendly fire incidents, with about 40 USEians dead, and about 35 Russian troops, killed by each other. The USE and Russia must contend not only with the remnants of Suharto's regime, of which, he has yet to be captured, but also with local militants, guerrillas, terrorists, and all manner of people opposing their occupation. The ICJ has indicted Suharto for the Acehian crimes, and is waiting to prosecute him. Also, the ICJ has announced that they will help hold elections in Aceh “once the fighting has stopped”, which should be sometime next year. We do not know how many USE or Russia troops have lost their lives battling Suharto, but it is around 30,000 USE troops, and perhaps 15-20,000 Russians. We also know that Suharto and the other militants seem to be targeting Russians more, perhaps because Russians are very good at using more firepower then they need, and blowing up a house if they even suspect that militants might be using it as a stronghold. We will keep you updated on this story as it unfolds.

USE opens “Hotel Luna”, initiates Moon Tourism

The USE has announced that it has completed a number of improvements to its Moon Base, and these include a Hotel on the Moon, called Hotel Luna. Moon Tourism has begun for the USE, with some millionaires lined up to be the first non-astronauts on the moon. The cost is high to go to the moon, but the USE says it plans to drop the price as space travel becomes cheaper and easier.

Space Debris brings down Chinese Shuttle

It was a tragic day in China, as a chunk of space debris that was apparently missed by the radar on board a Chinese Space shuttle pierced the fuel pod for the shuttle, and caused the shuttle to explode in space. All 3 crew members were killed, the shuttle was lost. The shuttle was taking materials and supplies to the Chinese Moon Base under construction. This is a loud and clear wake-up call to nations around the world that space debris, which has been building for years, is a significant problem. The debris is essentially garbage, material which has been dumped into space, and is in an orbit around Earth, posing a hazard to shuttles and Space Stations. Eventually, it will all come into the earth's atmosphere, and burn up.

Italy prepares for Referendum as USE Secession Act passes

Italians are mobilizing in preparation for a Referendum on their future with the USE, after the USE Secession Act, which lays out how a part of the USE can legally break away from the USE, barely passed Parliament. It requires a petition by 10% of the population of the Province to the Central Election Authority to initiate a Referendum, which then needs 61% to pass. The Conservatives reluctantly passed it after it became clear that either they pass such a Bill, or the ICJ decide a number – possible 51% - for them. Separatists in Italy, which was conquered by Franco shortly after 17/62, were jubilant that this passed, and they, along with the separatist Italian Pope, have started campaigning to Separate. They easily passed the 10% petition, and are now in full-swing campaign mode. In a very controversial move, the Pope has been actively campaigning, remind Italians of the brutal war by Franco that pushed into Italy, smashing the Italian Government, destroying parts of the country, and killing thousands of civilians. The Pope's Cousin was a Leader in that Government. The Italian Separatists have begun to run a fairly successful Ad campaign on television, showing pictures of the devastating war. Images like the Pisa Tower accidentally being bombed, and other landmarks have raised support for Separating to a record of 57%, which is close to the 61% needed. Typically, the older generation is in favour of separating, who remember a free Italy, and the younger generation, who know of the prosperity of the USE, are in favour of remaining in the USE, but perhaps like Ireland, with more Independence. Either way, the vote occurs in 4 months, which is sure to be 4 months of heavy campaigning both for and against.

India develops cheap, working, mass-producible Cell Phone

India has surprised the world by developing a cheap, mass-producible Cell Phone. This small device is a huge leap over models available currently, which are big, bulky, expensive, and don't work well. The Indian Model is a breakthrough in technology. It is only available for sale in India, and is being sold in the millions to Indians, many of whom now have the money to buy it thanks to the Indian Economic Boom. Once satellites are available to use these phones in the rest of the world, they will undoubtedly be bought by millions, and could catapult India into a first-world nation from the income they are expected to bring in. Already, they, and efforts to reduce poverty, have led to India's economy going up a level. The technology is currently owned by the Indian Government, but is expected to be sold soon to several large corporations, who will market it to the world. Some Indian Companies own the copyrights, but they only are selling them to Indians. This technology means that anybody anywhere in the world can call anybody else, provided there is Satellite Coverage, It is a breakthrough compared to corded phones.

”Jihad” declared against Russia by Hardline Muslims

It seems that Russia has unintentionally drawn the wrath of hardline Muslim groups, who have turned their anger against Russia, blaming them for many Muslim problems. Their claims that Russia is trying to build an empire by conquering Muslim territory seemed to gain strength as Russian Forces continue to battle it out in Afghanistan, as we shall report on later, and in Lebanon, as we shall report on later as well. Within Russia, there is several anti-Russian Muslim Terrorist networks operating, who seem to be eluding the KGB and other Russian Special Forces thus far. They have been routinely attacking Russian Federal Buildings, Russian Bureaucrats, and just about anybody else whom they deem an “enemy”. They have yet to do any serious damage, and their bombs and attacks are pretty crude, but their effect is far-reaching. Many claim that Lebed won the election, as we shall inform you about later, in part by promising to crack down on these groups, and provide security to the Russian people. The attacks, which have targeted business as well, have caused the Russian economy to stagnate, and, if they get worse, might cause it to decline, if the KGB cannot get a grip on the situation.

Afghanistan turns deadly for Russians

Afghanistan has turned into, well, a bit like Indonesia for Russian Troops. The Afghan Shah, or King, has died, of a stroke due to stress over the situation, leaving this poor mountainous nation leaderless. Russia has appointed an Interim President, and promised elections once the fighting stops, but it shows no sign of doing so. Russia is battling what experts deem an oddly well-funded group of mujahadeen, or Muslim Jihadists, called to action by hardline clerics. Russia has deployed a large amount of Special Forces to the area, and they are being quite successful at stopping about half of the attacks, but they do not seem able to completely stop the fighting, or the flow of militants into Afghanistan. Russia has accused Pakistan of funding and training the militants, but Pakistan has vehemently denied the charges. Afghanis seem to just want the fighting to end, and elections to be held, but a significant percentage of them support the insurgency, as WNN polls indicate. Afghanistan is a very war-torn country, and generations of Afghanis have not known peace. Elections have not been held in Afghanistan, well, in a very long time, to say the least.

Congress Party sweeps Indian Elections as India makes Marriage Equal

India has held an election, and, no surprise, the Congress Party, led by Indhira Ghandi, has once again swept to power. They and the Shiv Shena party were the only major contenders, the Shiv Shena being Conservative right-wingers who didn't have a clear vision for India, at least in the eyes of Indian Voters. Congress dropped a few seats, but went up slightly in popular supports. Either way, they retain their majority, and have the hope of Indians to bring their country into the 1990s as a fully modern country with a good economy. India is a ways from that, but Ghandi seems to be doing a good job. In other Indian news, India has made Marriage equal in that nation. Homosexuality has been removed from the Unnatural Sex Act, and Marriage has been redefined from the old definition of “Between a man and a women” to “between 2 persons”. The Conservatives and Muslims were bitterly opposed to the act, but it was passed, signed into law, and makes India the first nation to actually have Equal Marriage. Some nations, like Quebec and Norway, have Equal Civil Marriage, but India is the first to have Equal Marriage.

OOC – Ok, I'm biased, so sue me. No need to ask which side of the issue I'm on, eh? ;)

Mapuchans demand Independence as Chile gears for elections

Chile has been “declared ready for elections” by their Indian occupiers, and the ICJ, and they will hold their elections for a post-Pinochet Government in 2 months time. The southern Mapuche population, however, of which the ICJ has released figures which show that about 230,000 of them were murdered in a genocide by Chilean troops under the direct orders of Pinochet, is demanding their own state that would take a chunk of Chile and Argentina to be their own nation. They have started an Independence Party, and will be a headache for the incoming Chilean Government. Elections would have been held sooner, but the Mapuchans held up the process by attempting to negotiate with the Indians, Chilean Interim Government, and the ICJ for a separate state. The negotiations were apparently fruitless.

Droeger introduces Reforms to Germany

The German Nationalist Popularist leader Droeger has successfully implemented a series of Reforms in Germany, the first of which was to change the name of his nation from the Republic of Germany to the Greater German Reich, or Die Grossere Deutsch Reich (GDR). This is to represent the “true Germany”, according to Droeger. Then he created the Bundestag, or Territorial Parliament, which is composed of representatives from the “Territories” of Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. This “Territorial Parliament” is meant to “advise” the German Parliament and Droeger on issues relating to the German Territories, but when the elections were held for it, the results were not what the right-wing Droeger expected. Since Austria was annexed into Germany proper, on the logic that Austrians are ethnic Germans, the remaining 4 territories are the more Liberal in Germany. So, as a result, the parties that got the most seats in this Parliament were the Liberal Democrats, Social Democrats and Communist Bloq, being Liberals, Socialists, and Communists respectively. The Conservatives fairly poorly. The “advice” that this Parliament will send to Droeger will be, of course, advice that Droeger is likely to not listen to. For instance, one of the first Bills passes was to advise Droeger to allow the Territories to hold referendums, to ensure that they truly want to be in the GDR. Droeger has yet to react to this, but it is likely that he will do so with scorn. Other Reforms include a Flat Tax, 2 Tier health care, which is essentially health care for the poor, Economic Deregulation, a European Central Bank, to compete with the USE Euro Central Bank and the DNEIN, or a German Computer Networking System. All of these reforms have had the effect of stimulating the German economy sufficiently, along with rebuilding efforts in the Territories to increase it by 2 levels. In a move that some called muzzling the press, and others called organizing the press into a more efficient machine, the German Government has announced that all of the German Press has been nationalized and bundled into one company called the National German News Network, which is responsible for delivering the news to virtually all Germans. Some reacted negatively to the news, but the new Agency, sponsored by the Government, has so far shown itself to be fairly unbiased. The Territories are opposing it more then ethnic Germans.

Lebed's Conservatives sweep Russian Election!

The Russian President is known by many names. Some call him Uncle Lebed. Others know him simply as the General or the President. Whatever you call him, whatever his name, he is changing Russia dramatically, and apparently most Russians think it is for the good. But it is an interesting phenomenon that only Russians seem to like Lebed. The WNN conducted polls around the world about the popularity of Lebed, and it seems that he is greatly disliked, even despised around the world. Everybody but Russians seem to think of his as an extremist. But Russians see him as a Hero, and this could not be made more clear after the last Russian election. It was a huge turning point in the Russian History books, one that saw Vladimir Putin, the man who disbanded the Communist Coalition, and brought Russia so successfully into a full-fledged Democracy, and saw the Russian economy soar, be humiliatingly defeated. This election was dubbed “The Left's Last Stand”, and Putin was leading it. He assembled all the left-leaning parties, including the Communist ones, into a party known as “United Russia”, and attempted to defeat Lebed. He failed. Miserably. In fact, the Left in Russia is at an all-time low, and Lebed and his coalition of right-leaning parties, including the Fascist Rodina and the Nazi Liberal Democrats won enough seats in the Duma to be able to change the Constitution, that precious Russian Document engineered by Putin. Putin has retired from politics, and gone to live in the USA, according to reports. After this devastating loss, he knows he cannot win again in Russia. Lebed is totally in control of Russia, it seems, and its people seem happy. Party members of the 3 parties that make up Lebed's Constitutional Majority were out in the streets celebrating after their triumphant win. Only time will tell the consequences of this historic win. Lebed's Coalition used this opportunity to start fiddling, or “effecientizing”, as they call it, the Russian Constitution, removing the position of Prime Minister, making the Duma only in charge of Lawmaking, making Courts more dependent on the President, minor stuff like that. These only make the President in Russia a bit more powerful, which is good for Lebed, but perhaps not so good for Russians.

Anti-Americanism on the rise in Russia!

This is perhaps the first consequence of the win by Lebed, and it very well might lead to war. Russians were never happy when Putin unilaterally returned Alaska to the USA, and lifted the restrictions upon the American Military. Well, now that anger is rising up again, in the form of a Campaign started by opponents of Putin and supporters of Lebed who have joined forces to create a national “Return Alaska” campaign, which alleges that Alaska is rightfully and legally Russian, and that Russia should force America to return it. A WNN poll shows that ab out 45% of Russians feel that this is a “priority”, with only the Terrorism plaguing Russia scoring higher. A full 58% of Russians feel that Alaska is “historically, ethnically, and legitimately Russian”. Lebed has made no sign that he wants Alaska back, but these new numbers might change his mind.

WNN issues correction regarding recent article about Africa

The WNN would like to issue an official correction and apology. Recently we printed an article that updated our readers about the situation in Southern Africa, after the near-collapse of the AF. We printed a story that said that the American-aided nations were prospering while the Russian-aided nations were languishing. This story was wrong. The WNN had employed a News Service in Africa that was delivering incorrect stories to the WNN. We have since fired that News Service, and WNN Reporters have since gone to the area, and have the proper story for our loyal readers. We deeply apologize for this error, and we pledge to do our best to ensure that it never happens again. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Here, for the record, is the correct story:

Russia, America helping Southern African nations rebuild after AF

South Africa used to be in the grip of the African Federation, and used to be a part of the world suffering with a lack of development, and basic services. Well, no longer. Since the USA and Russia came in, and stabilized the Region, things have improved immeasurably. Those nations now have stable, Democratic Governments. Most of them have militaries which have taken over much of the keeping of the peace themselves. They are employing American and Russian companies to come and repair their nations. Some are even ready to formally as the Russians and Americans to remove their troops, as they will soon not be needed. This is a major step forward. Then, people lived in small communities separated from one another, and lacking in basic services. Now, they have access to proper schools, hospitals, roads, and other basic services. These countries are undergoing a Revolution, of sorts. Africa, at least the Southern Portion, is no longer the Continent of Despair, but the Continent of Hope, and Potential. Thanks to the USA and Russia, these nations have the change to lift themselves out of poverty for once and for all, and to enter the 1990s as developed, prosperous nations. The USA and Russia has given these people a gift, which is greater then mere money, this is the gift of living a good, happy life.

OOC – Ok, ok, so I don't understand first year economics. Maybe because I've yet to take any first year economics courses.

Romanian Regime collapses as Russia sends troops

The chances of it not occurring were remote all along. Ceausescu's Authoritarian Regime in Romania has finally fell, at the sword of popular unsupport and Russian Intervention. When Russia realized that Ceausescu was not going quietly, and the crowds opposing him swelled, and the battles between the people and the Secrutariate grew by the day, Russia moved in. In a maneourve worthy of the Germans smashing the Maginot Line in WWII, the Russian Army came in, handily defeated the Secrutariate, and executed Ceausescu. Then they began the process of getting rid of the remnants of the Secrutariate, and putting down the small insurgencies brewing. Romania is under the control of an Interim President appointed by Lebed, but should be ready for elections next year. With Romania falling, this means one less Communist Regime is present in the world.

Russia attempts to assume control in Lebanon!

As the UIR Civil War dragged on, Russia apparently decided that it needed to do something to “save” the Christians in Lebanon, which has been comparatively peaceful to the battles raging across other parts of war torn UIR. It sent some troops and tanks there to calm the region, which caused a huge stir in Israel, when the Israelis assumed that they were coming ti invade Israel. The Russians landed troops, and started taking control, all the while under fierce attack. Then they realized that they were doing nothing more then getting Muslims angry at them as Muslims perceived that Russia was attacking them, and not liberating Christians. The Russians then changed their mind, and withdrew their troops. This event has caused the UIR Civil War to come to something of a close, as both factions in the fight realized that they were surrounded by enemies who might take advantage of them in their weak state. Israeli brokered peace talks have resulted in the UIR and the Rebels agreeing to hold fresh elections next year. It seems that the Russian invasion did nothing more then get Muslims angry at them, and end a Civil War, completely unintentionally.

Greek election dispels fields about Albanian Communists

Greece has finally held that election, and it appears that the fears about Albanian Communists winning big were wrong. The Albanian Communists won some seats, but not nearly enough to be a threat. The Conservative Coalition won enough seats to once again form the majority in Greece.

Moderates win Turkish Election!

Turkey has re-joined the Moderate Islam after the governing Hardline Muslim party was defeated by a Moderate Coalition. Turks are still angry about the formation of Kurdistan and the loss of Cyprus, but seem willing to let the Moderates deal with it rather then the Hardliners.

Proposed Referendum creates strife in Cyprus!

Cyprus is again home to political strife and anger after the Governing pro-Greek Conservatives proposed a Bill in the Cypriot Parliament that would see Cypriots hold a Referendum on joining Greece. Greece has openly backed the plan, which is fiercely opposed by Turkish Cypriots. Greek Cypriots, which compose 2/3rds of the population of this small island nation, are about 90% in favour of re-joining Greece. If this Referendum goes ahead, it might lead to war between Turkey and Greece.

ICJ forces FRSEA to release Pol Pot

The ICJ has announced that Pol Pot is to be released from FRSEA prison, and returned to Cambodia. This will occur early next year.

The fight of the Islamic peoples continues. No sooner than the United Islamic States collapse does the Muslim populations of the world begin to suffer from foreign conquest. And where does this conquest come from? Russia!!!! The Russian devil must be prevented before they destroy the Islamic faith and people all together. Already too many muslims live under their imperialist rule. What you have seen this year is only the beggining. There will be no peace for Russia until they withdraw from all Muslim lands.
