The African Republic Of Nigeria
The African People's Party National Conference
Opening Speech By Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Foreign Minister
'Brothers in Nigeria, during the reign of our glorious leader and saviour of the African peoples, President Kaneda. We have seen Nigeria help nations across the whole African continent fend off oppression. We intervened in Cameroon to protect the people there from South Africa and we formed the African Council to protect the freedoms of northern African nations against fascist Spain. Yet despite these great steps many millions of Africans continue to live in oppression under imperliastic foreign dictators. It is the goal of the African Peoples Party and the benevolent Kaneda to end this oppression and to free these people.
Only by concentrating our efforts and enlisting the help of our brethren across the world can we seek to defeat the powers of imperialism. I, as Foreign Minister, make it my task to unite our lands and to continue to promote the interests of Africa and it's people around the world. Through the words of our diplomacy we can sharpen our swords and prepare ourselves for the fight ahead.
I want you all to know I am proud to call myself African, I am proud to be Nigerian and I am proud to be serving this great land in the name of freedom and his benevolent greatness President Kaneda!
Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa!'
Speech By General Otemebe, Minister for Defence
'Under the leadership of our great saviour, President Kaneda, we have built a military force to rival that of any in Africa and indeed the world. Our troops have been hardened like steel to face conflict and they shall never flinch at the thought of giving their lives in the cause of African Glory.
I call on all Africans to give their support for our campaign, for everyone to celebrate our soldiers and to give them their aid and hospitality. I call on all Africans to resist oppression and to resist imperialism. I call on all Africans to be prepared to lay down their lives so that our future generations may live in freedom!
I shall be there to help win the fight, I shall lay down my life for the good of the cause, will you...
Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa!'
Final Speech By President Kaneda
'Brothers and sisters of Africa, I a stand before you with desperate news. Today I have heard news of a new wave of Spanish oppression sweeping their occupied lands. They have once again been foisting the beliefs of Christianity among our peoples with cruel and vicious killings of those who do not conform. Many brave martyrs have resisted their oppression and paid for it with their lives.
Once again we learn more and more of the brutal murder and rape of our brothers and sisters across Africa. We can no longer stand and look on in silence, for if we do every murder, every rape, it will be on our consciences. Now we must act and retaliate for these crimes against our peoples. Now we must stand up for those who are oppressed and start making a difference. Only we can make a stand and make these changes.
Stand up and be counted, stand up and overthrow imperialism! Let us fight for the freeoms of our future generations and give them the peace that we can not have.'
(The crowd erupts into a chant of Glory for Africa, and begins singing the Nigerian National Anthem.)
