North Vietnam wishes to join the Communist Coalition

Communist nations welcome the move, and all NPC nations unanimously voted for the CER as the SecGen.

All NPC Communist nations vote FOR North Vietnam's admittance to the Communist Coalition. All Communist nations must be under one roof to continue the glorious revolution!

The CU wishes to express her intent on continued cooperation with the CER and other communist countries but also wishes to note her wariness of organizations she can not join on the basis of ideology.

Also the CU would like to ask the CER on behalf of the world-wide coalition and APETO leader Malaysia to declare the Communist stance towards the murderous fascist regime in Hindustan. The Commonwealth is aware that China has signed a NAP with what used to be India, but North Korea, North Vietnam, Yugoslavia should she join and most importantly the CER, have not done so.
Our newly elected PM (with votes from every state), Matt Sukha Williams, would be honored if the communists would affirm their hatred of religious nazism in Asia.

Yugoslavia is glad to see a Communist coalition has formed and requests memebership.

The deserts of Neveda there was an important facility that held the dreams of the people of America. The dreams of reaching the very Stars themselves. This facility, appatly named N.A.S.A , was home to the best and brightest of America as they attempted in Project Codename Apollo to send expiaditions up to the moon itself. Apollo 1's tagic acident on the run-way gave birth to an eye for safety never seen before. Apollo-1 through Apollo-6 were missions dealing with the launching technique called Saturn V.

Apollo 7-10 were missions that sent men up to orbit the Moon and take pictures. All missions were completed successfully, and the moons surface was studied from the pictures to find the best landing spots. Apollo 11 was underway.

****

Neil Armstrong leaned forward of the glass of waiting room. Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin stood beside him. They had made small talk while they waited for the man in charge of N.A.S.A to be ready to see them. Neil saw men scurring around the launch pad in a constant flurry of motion. A gignatic rocket stood erect as it pre-pared for lift off. A diminutive secetary walked out of the office and smilled at the gathered men. "President Patton will see you now. The gathered men looked warily at each other, the president himself was here? The gathered men took a few moments to smooth out their clothes before actaully walking in.

The aging president was sitting in front of them as they walked in the door. "Please, have a seat gentlemen." The gathered men immediatly took their seats. The president stood up while he pressed a button under his desk. A projector sceen dropped down behind him as he pointed with a laser picture at a picture. "What is this gentlemen?"

"That would be the moon, sir." Neil immdiatly answered. The three men were confused as to why the president was showing them this picture. "May I ask sir, why are you showing us this picture anyway?"

"Because this is where you are going, you are to be the crew of the first maned mission to the Moon. You are the Crew of Apollo 11. Report to the barracks, we have to prepare you for your trip."

****

A multitude of action was occuring in N.A.S.A's central command center as the men and women prepared for the lift-off of Apollo 11. The commanding scientist was giving commands left and right for the momentous event. President Patton waited patiently in the back of the room as the scientists prepared. "This is it. All systems are green, all cargo packed. Clear the pad, I repeat, clear the pad. Begin countdown."

The man on the control panel nodded and began to type on the computer. He leaned forward to speak into the Microphone. "The Parties started boys." he said. He got a few nervous chuckles from everybody. "Countdown begun. 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14," the gathered men all locked their eyes on the screen. The hopes and dreams of the program rested upon the men in Apollo 11. "13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8," the people all across America tuning in began to wordlessly join in on the countdown, feeling the importance and putting their minds and souls into the expiadenture that would catupelt mankind forward into the Unknown. "7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." The rockets blared and the sound became deafning as the rockets tired to propell the space shuttle higher into the air. "Liff-off! We have a lift-off! At 32 minutes past the hour! Lift-off for Apollo 11!"

a11liftoff.jpg

All across the nation the people tuning in erupted in cheers, but knew they had not reached their goal quite yet. It would be around 4 days before the men of Apollo 11 reached their destination.

Four days later...

At 1:47 pm EDT, July 20, the Lunar Module "Eagle" carrying Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, separated from the Command Module "Columbia". Michael Collins, aboard the CM, took this picture of the LM as it prepared for its descent to the lunar surface. "You cats take it easy on the lunar surface", Collins said as he released the LM.

The men of Apollo 11 had just about reached the destination for the trip, the landing site called the Sea of Tranquility. "A magnificent site out here," Armstrong said on the radio as Apollo 11 made its way down to the ground. "Magnificent Desolation." Aldrin responded.

Armstrong only nodded in agreement while Neil looked almost dazed out the windows. After a moment Aldrin landed the Space Shuttle on the surface of the moon. "Huston, Traquility Base here. The Eagle has landed." The words spoken by Aldrin ushered in a new age of Space Exploration, and for man-kind. [http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/lunar/a11landing.aiff]

a11tvarm.jpg

Neil waited for the shuttle to stop moving before opening the hatch. The stunning magnificance of the moon stopped him in his tracks. It was indeed a magnificant desolation as Aldrin had put it. He took a breath in his suit before grabbing the handles to begin to step down. He reached the final step and then stopped. "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." he said before stepping onto the moons surface. [http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/lunar/a11step.aiff]

a11foot.jpg

The men of Apollo 11 gathered on the surface of the moon, their steps the first ever of any man upon a surface other than the Earth, they were truly pinoneers. Neil Armstrong took a flag for the shuttle, and then pushed it into the surface of the moon. *kruttz*"Good job gentlemen.*kruttz* came the voice of President Patton over the radio. *krutzz*"You have done an enourmous service to the entire United States of America, no, the entire world."*kruttz*. Aldrin (A former marine) merely saluted in respond to the president's words.

a11tv.jpg

The people of the United States watched the transpiring events from home on their Telivison sets, and listen on their radios. They momentous event was heard by almost every American, and it was the broadcast heard around the world. In every household, men where placing their Flags proudly on display. People were pouring into the streets, chanting the National Anthem. The United States was alive once more. The United States had been reborn after the events of 17/62.

The Men of Apollo 11 conducted scientfic experiements and collected data and pictures and rocks from the moon. All of these would greatly help the United State's experiments. A day before the explorers returned Aldrin said this famous quote,"We feel this stands as a symbol of the insatiable curiousity of all mankind to explore the unknown."

The returning heros from that famous day, July 20th 1966, were forever hailed with reverance as the pioneers who ushered the United States into the Next age of exploration, the exploration of space.

China asks to be allowed in the Communist Coalition.

China, Yougoslavia and N.Vietnam are admitted to the Coalition

CER accepts the responsibility of the Sec. Gen. and Nikolay Bilganin is sworn in as the First Sec. Gen. of the Coalition.

He immediatley thanks the CU for its interest in cooperation and asures them that the Coalition and the CER will continue the cooperation with the CU.

As on the topic of Hindustan, Mr. Bulganin was more reserved. What is happening in Hindustan is evil, and must be stopped. However it must be noted that the Coalition at the present is in no condition to fight, with most of the military might being concentrated in China, who, as the CU themselves noted, has signed a NAP with Hindustan. The CER itself will aid in every way we can, and will urge the other nations in the Coalition to do the same, but none of them are capable of waging open warfare with Hindustan. Here are however CER's actions conserning Hindustan:

The Coalition,
1. Condemns the actions of Hindustan and calls for its immediate surrender
2. Ceases all trade with the nation of Hindustan
3. Urges member nations, if they are able, to offer help in the war against Hindustan

The CER,
1. Offers its airfields in Southern CER as bases for any planes flying missions into Hindustan
2. Offers the Soviet Technology (described on the previous page) for sale at reduced prices of 1 eco/design to all nations fighting Hindustan

The NPC CC nations unanimously accept North Vietnam, Yugoslavia, and China into the Communist Coalition.

OOC - Contempt, you haven't finished the Apollo Project yet, therefore it hasn't lifted off yet. Next turn, mate, next turn. I promise to include pretty pictures, provided that i don't feel evil, and it works.

OCC: I know, that's why the lift off sequence is in July, not June. I just wanted to write about it ;)

Speech by President Kaneda:
'Brothers and sisters in Africa! Today we face our greatest struggle, the final battle on the road to freedom, today we fight imperialism. Our brothers and sisters across Africa are united in this war, we have the man power, determination and people to help lead us to the final victory in this war. It shall be bloody, it shall cost many their lives, but when the dust has settled and the war is done we shall have our freedom! The oppressors may torture, they may kill us, they may murder our families, but no matter what they do we shall never lose our will to fight our will to have vengeance and our will to have freedom.

Freedom has been a long time in coming to Africa once again, we must defeat our newest threat to freedom and we must send out a message to all of those who would seek to oppress us in the future. We must regain our freedom!

Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa! Glory for Africa!'

Diplomacy:

To: South Africa
From: Nigeria
This war shall be the war to end all wars in Africa. No matter how many may die or how long it should last we shall never surrender. You have grossly underestimated our strength: well over 150,000,000 people, a combined economic power capable of buying all the most modern and deadly weaponary and a willingness to die for our cause. The African Liberation Front shall defeat South Africa and finally bring freedom to the native peoples of Africa.

New Zealand, East Timor, the Kapp Verde Islands, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Qatar, the Marian Islands, the Fiji Islands, the Marshall Islands!
The states of the Commonwealth Union announces that we have finished a base on the Fiji islands and in cooperation with three other nations we too will send a manned expedition to the moon after building a space station!

May the USA's dream be fulfilled with fortunes untold and may the Commonwealth come to wander among the stars!

To the RSA
From the CU

The RSA should negotiate for peace with the African Union. Perhaps the freedom of Kenya may satisfy Nigeria and her African family.

The CER seconds CU's call for peace in Africa, and offers to fasilitate negotiations if both sides agree to a cease fire.

His body was washed onto the shore and was found by a couple taking a walk down the beach. Eventough most peole loved the dictator many are celebrating his death and hopping for te ruler's son to chage the nation for the better.
The old dictator's son is Dionysius. He didn't agree with his dad on polotics and is right away starting to change the nation with his solialistic reforms.

OOC: Goobert still needs to fix something about the Update that totally changes things for the RSA and Nigeria, we will start to work on diplomacy and such after that since it puts things in a very different position.

The Action Begins

CERFlag.JPG

The Flag of Russia

August 6th in the morning the biggest government people were engaged in their respective activities as we described above. Now, here is the rest of the story on what actually happened:

Chapter 1: "We have to get rid of the Czar!"

malenkov.jpg

Georgy Maximilianovich Malenkov

Around 10am Andropov stormed into the Kremlin demanding to see Smirnov. Balkhovsky, who was also waiting stoped him harshly:

"Hey you! watch where you are going, you'll be after me"
Andropov stared at him blankly, the GenSec, of the ComParty was not used to that tone.
"Do you know who I am?" - Andropov was still in shock.
"Sure I do Yuri Vladimirovich, you are the biggest blabermouth in the Communist Party" - Balkhovsky was obviously not in the greatest mood.
Andropov opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again, but made no sound.
Balkhovsky stared at him with a smirk on his face and was about to go back to his chair when Malenkov walked in.
"Yuri Vladimirovich! Yuri Vladimirovich! I got it!" - he was probably refering to the conversation him and Andropov had earlier - "We have to get rid of the Czar!"
Said outside the Czar's cabinet that caused quite a furor. Balkhovsky stopped instantly and looked at Malenkov with a look of horror. Andropov dropped the suitcase he was carrying and Brezhnev, who just walked in looked startled.
"Whats going on?" - Brezhnev did not look happy - "Yuri Vladimirovich, what is Malenkov talking about?"
"Ahm...hm...well...." - Andropov looked miserable and lost - "Damn you all, listen, he is right, this all was a mistake, we cant have a Czar, or at least not one like him!"
Silence fell as everyone digested what Yuri Vladimirovich just said.
"Both of you, in my office, now" - Brezhnev did his best to try and remain calm

As the three communists disapeared somewhere in the back passages of the Kremlin Balkhovsky stood there shocked. When he finally realized what had happened he ran out of the room, looking for someone who could help

Chapter 2: "We lost it!"

pannekoek.jpg

Vecheslav Sergeyevich Sedov

Balkhovsky ran out of the Kremlin forgetting everything, his hat, his briefcase, and even his jacket. The morning Moscow met him with a warm breeze coming from the river. Looking around desperatley he saw Vecheslav Sedov walking calmly and talking quitly with someone else.

"Vecheslav Sergeyevich!" - Balkhovsky started running towards Sedov and yelling - "Vecheslav, help!"
"What is it?" - Vecheslav's low voice was lound and confident - "What is it this time?"
"We lost it!" - Balkhovsky was about to cry
"Lost what? Stop it! Look at yourself! Be a man, what did we lose?" - the harsh words of Sedov seemed to help Balkhovsky.
"The Czar, they are going to depose Mikhail, we'll lose our buisness, they will bring back Communism, I heard it myself, Andropov and Malenkov, and then Brezhnev too! We have to do something!" - ALexandr Nikolayevich was again ready to break down and cry
"Chert Poberi! Are you sure?" - that was a rhetorical question - "Lets go to my office, we'll come up with something"

The two oligarchs hurried off to Sedov's office just across the square from the Kremlin. It was almost 11 am and Alexei Kosygin went outside to get some air. He met the two aristocrats and having heard the news joined them in their venture.

Chapter 3: "I am not a nobody!"

gromyko.jpg

Andrei Andreyevich Gromyko

Nobody knows what happened in Brezhnev's office, but at about 11:30am Andropov and Malenkov left, both angry and yelling and Brezhnev. Brezhnev started towards Czar's office when he ran into Gromyko.

"Andrei, I need help" - Brezhnev was not exactly friends with Gromyko, but right now he could use anyone he could get
In response Gromyko looked at his former enemy and make a sound simular to "mh?" without even saying anything. However insulted Brezhnev might have felt he continued:
"Andropov and Malenkov want to get rid of Smirnov" - He expected some sruprise, but didnt get it
"I know, I know, anything else?" - Brezhnev was stunned. He expected Gromyko to be worried, start doing something, or go talk to the Czar.
"Well, I need to talk to Mikhail, we can't lose the Czar, you know that" - again, in response he only got a "mhm" and an inquisitive look which started to frustrate him
"Look Andrei, you are a nobody without Mikhail, you of all people should realize that we need him" - this time he got a reply, but not what he wanted, Gromyko came up to Brezhnev and said through his teeth:
"First of all, its Andrei Andreyevich to you, and second of all, I am not a nobody" - his eyes glowed very bright - "and you with you stupid Communist Party politics and games can go to hell for all I care, got it?"

Gromyko was walking down the hall towards Mikhail office while Brezhnev, scared and confused stumbled his way into the waiting room where he found Marshall Zhukov, who was already growing impatient waiting to talk to Smirnov

Chapter 4: "Not a Revolution, just Reforms"

BTM14581.jpg

Mikhail Sergeyevich Smirnov

Inside Czar's office Andropov and Malenkov stood shyly like two children who were just caught trying to steal candy from their mother. Mikhail was sitting at his desk looking at them quitley.

"So, is there anything you gentlemen want to say?" - the Czar looked tired and his voice was quite
"um...we....you see...a...." - all the courage that Andropov showed outside disapeared instantly when he was pressed with explaining his position to the Czar. He finally pulled all of his will together remembering all he learned in his military school and said:
"Mr. Smirnov, the Communist Party wishes to revert the desisions made by us about installing you as the Czar of Russia"
A long drawn out pause followed in which Mikhail looked at Andropov, as if expecting more
"You see, we do not feel that....ehem...your policies are....how do I say it...." - Andropov again was losing it
"The same as you want them to be" - Smirnov helped him out
"Exactly!"
"And so you want a revolution?" - Smirnov went straight to the point
"ah....well....not really....we....you see.....revolution...um....no....more like reforms" - Andropov took out a hankerchief and was whiping off the sweat that appeared on his forehead.
"Reforms? You'll have reforms" - Mikhail seemed to not be bothered at all by the fact that the top Communist in the country wanted him deposed - "now, both of you - out"

The two men scrabled out of Czar's office terrified. All the strength and resolve that they had when coming there was gone and the 'revolution' that they wanted to start was over. But in the waiting room they met Brezhnev and Zhukov, who were waiting for them...

Ok, the Update concerning Nigeria and the RSA is totally screwed up, I did that part of the Update using wrong orders for the RSA. I apologize to Dexter and Feanor, but, well, these things happen. I will have to change it and the map *groan* soon.

I will do it tomorrow morning, i guess.

Welcome Ghost! Glad to have someone new on board.
