Good WW2 Book

Everything I've ever read or heard about that guy has been incredibly critical of him and his...methods.
Obviously his POV is far from popular. But have you actually read his own works? Plus, I really very much doubt there exists a book about WW2 that can be taken without a grain of salt.
He is likely only right to a degree (like we all), but personally, I find his ideas credible, because what he says USSR was up to in Europe, was basically what they actually did in the Baltics.

Stalingrad and Berlin by Antony Beevor are both excellent. Iron Coffins by Herbert Werner is a good read if you are into U-boats.

The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw
and Flags of our Fathers by James Bradley
