Hartster, my dear lad, let me apprise you of something not novel to my own thinking, and that is respect is earned not given my child. Secondly, and perhaps more important, it eludes me where in my previous post I failed to show respect, despite its not having ben earned as of yet. Please enlighten me where I was disrespectful to yourself or another, for I feel you will fail in this endeavor and come crawling back to apologize to the one known only as TheFather!

Yet your apology will fall on deaf ears as the battle grows near and my heart anxious to engage in that which men dream of when they sleep, and that is the glorious sight of men engage in combat!

Nicosar, as my respect for you grows, so does my confusion of this game .. is it set to start in just over an hour or is it in fact deadlocked as indicated previously? While it seems I was the sole participant to recognize this in your earlier post, others continue to countdown til gametime. If you would be so kind as to shed some light on the subject, for I have obligations to meet, but bear in mind this game comes before all except my livelihood, as you can assume from my availability submitted.

I will keep an eye out for the next hour or so.

Well.....I have been refreshing the forum page hoping that there would be a last minute change. Rescue by recruitment... But, alas, it doesn't appear that my hope is going to be fulfilled. i know im sorry...i just thought if i wrote that, that their would be all the popel playing freaking out then we could start I woke up especially at 7am to read all the rules and what not and i am extremly disappointed that other people organization skills...well Lack organization well anyhow now i am in a middle of a very full on game with trev...but nicosar i will be back in an hour so that will be 7:30 your time..

Its good you guys didn't start, the great and powerful Narz lol: ) would not have been able to make it seeing that I was out in the real world (gasp!) while you all were making last minute plans.

I have one requirement... that I know at least two days in advance the scedule for the coming week. If this is not possible I cannot play, sorry, I don't have time to sit in front of my computer hitting refresh every half-hour...

I understand completely the complaints of the fellow who droped out. I don't agree with the slow time tech will day nor the slow city growth either. But I will not protest because I am still willing to play the game. But I will also not stifle any comments I might have, though I realize that Nicosar is not fond of critisizm, constructive or otherwise. So anyway, let me know all starting details within 48 hours of gametime and I will go over the rules and regulations and make ready for war.

there should be some way to split this thread up into sub threads - abuse, brown-nosing, (semi) apologetic, time zones, rule changes, polite conversation (just in case)....

I wish people would not doubt my ability to navigate world time zones. I know full well that Australian EST is +10GMT.
Some confusion may have arisen because
a. Some parts of US are in daylight savings at the moment
b. The GMT clock on CFC is an hour fast.

Should anyone doubt me {here comes the inner munchkin} I offer THREE references {I considered posting this in triplicate but that is just overkill}

Be especially careful of using the CFC service of time notification - maybe they are located in US and when daylight savings kicked in moved their GMT forward one hour?

Make all the comments you want, on anything, and do not staple your tones when saying them, say them however you want, but please!...dont be so insulting to my mind as to think that I cannot judge between the constructive ones which serve no alterior motive but voice themselves reasonably and the malicious ones that carry with them undertones of disgust and utter disapproval, said as if with an aim to try and change them, because my ears are quick, my eyes are sharper and my mind is sharpest!...and I can catch the subtlest hidden motives without even trying. Why, Narz, you will notice I have not retaliated to your well-spoken, though admittedly unmasterly comments in the least, mentioning merely in a general statement that anything can be said, but nothing will be changed, and not to tell me at all if this is your intention.

By the way Narz, was your unavailability, were the game to have started, because the schedule is at fault or because a proverbial piano fell from the skies (or even a clarinet)? It would be nice to know since I would not want the schedule on which all this depends to betray us all.

My scedule is not at fault, however life is random at times and I was away. Once I get a definite scedule I will make it a point not to be away if I am required to play.

The name of the scenario is Optimus Prime, though I named the folder and the map beauty.

As for the thread, leave that to me, I will begin a new one as soon as the game is officialy under way and then ask the moderators to delete this one for confusion's sake (plus I wouldn't want anyone to voice their interest if it would fall on busy ears). About the whole mixup involving timezones, I am quite happy to announce that NOBODY still playing was at error, (except me who trusted him), Trevor the ungraceful grouch having erred the proper GMT of Adelaide Australia an hour too early, since the correct GMT for South Aust. is + 9 1/2 and not 8 1/2.

As soon as two, or even one honestly, players are found and secured as players THEN will I compose a new schedule (gladly being able to throw away that whole adding-16,1/2-hours-to-my- time nonsense for Trevor) including any and all possible corrections, assuming there are still some since I will check it again for the tenth time, and the new shecules of the late arrivals.
