I will be glad to bow out of this "Never-ending game that people have already seen". I offered my scedule, and if it doesn't match then it wasn't meant to be. Fate can even hit you Nicosar, between the eyes with luck to follow.
 
Nicosar, you must be some mad typer, I counted 15 825 words you've typed in this forum. I hope your willingness to express yourself isn't brought into the civ game for everyone's sake. With the real life changes, a map that large, matching everyones schedule, and transactions that would take your full expression, I estimate the game to take 115.5 weeks.
 
No DDay. You will not get to play me, as you would wish if you had seen what an amazing challenge I would provide, but you seem quicker to keep some sort of petty dignity then just compromise and remain a player. So be it. The new roster of players is as follows:

I type quick, as I mentioned before, what can I say? But as for your challenge Narz, and your desperate attempt to redeem yourself DDay, I should say to the two of you that you should at least learn to read as fast,or faster hopefully,than I type, for even 15000 words is but a couple chapters in a book (entire books which I ravage through as if by fire in day-long sittings), but since you too apparently have trouble keeping focus for lengthy words I would remind you to read the reply I sent to the hartster after his first post on this thread, on page 6; you would find that I do not entertain 2-human games with 5 AI since I am beyond such things because of the static lack of dynamics which I now loathe after reaching a level of superior tactical thinking.

Sorry Narz, but you deserved that...you really should read everything; just the other day I was looking in this thread for a particular piece of info I or someone else had written down and so I read most of these pages all under10 minutes, its not such a big deal, good fellow!!

As for Dday, his foolishness and lack of heart is self-evident; i wonder if he backs out of actual unavailability or just primitive indignance, but I actually no longer care, with him gone the schedule look much better! Never-ending, i dont think it will be, but arent all the best things in the world the eternal ones?
 
if i may reittirate on times of availiblility narz doesnt i believe has enough time, to tell the truth im not too sure if their are many people who are up for this, i personal am. i have been dreaming of this game all of my life ever since i first played civ 8 years ago, true my fantasy is alittle strange though everyone needs to dream about something. When do u actually believe this game will start, because my feet are itchin

Ok, we actually only have 6 players but thats good enough, I too haven't played in a while, though I would really prefer 7, but next time we will definitely have enough, including all the people from this game that will become addicted to my games and some potentials that I try and lure over here on a daily basis...

As I look at the new schedule.... I'd say we could start right now but even if I posted an agreeable date i dont think everybody would show, even if I mailed them and everything, which I will do anyway, however, though I think tomorrow would be more realistic. How about tomorrow at 5 PM? According to this handy piece of paper I labored to get it fits everybody's schedule, but you all have to let me know anyway, because pianos, it would seem, do fall from the skies afterall. I must say, Dday was like a pile of rubbish in the gutter, the water now flows! There are a bunch more days available to play which I will here post:

THUR (TODAY): 6 pm - 10 pm
FRI: 5 pm - 9 pm
SAT: 3:30 pm - 6:00
SUN: NONE
MON: NONE
TUES: NONE
WED: NONE

I suppose that in the latter half of the week Trevor's location half way around the world makes a big difference since all his timeslots start to be the pole opposite of everybody else's but his hours are otherwise quite generous; but since he is the rusty link in this chain for all those days I would ask him if he is not simply unavailable because of sleep, for I would easily stay up all night and sleep the day to have the privilege to play with all of you!

I will now e-mail all the players to let them know, and I hope they all receive it in time. The start time is a whole day away and if someone should delay the game further by neglecting to stay connected with the group (or at the least check their e-mail) such angry words will flow forth you will hold your ear up to the screen, swearing that you can almost hear a voice...

one more thing where is trev because there is ni 1 1/2 hour time difference anywhere is australia SA is half an hour begind and WA is 2 hours behind so if the half hour i take it trev is in SA so therefore his start time would be 11:30 am or if he was is WA he would start at 10am

well i know what the time zones are i australia and what im saying is yes trev or dreamer are wrong in australia there is 2 time differences one is half an hour which is south australia and the other is 2 hours which is western Australia

NO TIME IN THE US will make it noon for a start if u are in middle america time here would be 8am like i said before so if u live on the east coast it'll ne 9am and west 7am
 
I live in the bay area, as i think i mentioned somewhere in this thread (but i wont curse you yet since im not sure) which is quite honestly the strangest place in the land.

What gives you the impression i'm in Middle america if I gave Pacific Standard as my timezone? middle America is two hours more than me, I believe, but I'll search the web and see exactly who is wrong, it won't be hard, so I can mend mistakes if there are any to fix at all. I would GUESS that Trevor's is wrong out of the two since half-hour differences such as that are rarer, but we'll see.

And Hartster, if it's not too much trouble, do you have to make a new post for each sentence you write? It'd be much less confusing if you just wrote a short paragraph!
 
Yes, yes....yes indeed, mistakes they are.

Not my fault though, but in a sense I guess they are for being so trusting....first some unknowings tell me that Pacific time is GMT-7 and eastern is -4, which its NOT, and this fool led me to sound like a fool myself all this time, even correct some people who had the right time differences! You have my deepest apologies, whomever I have offended with my naivety, but my motto of utter self-reliance for everything becomes neglected in the need for quick answers and I had to put my trust in a moron, of whom there are plenty and to spare.

But this was not the only naivety comitted! Trevors Time is indeed +8 1/2 hours from greenwich but Dr eamers is only 9, not 10! I have done some quick research prompted by the warnings of the apt scholar among us, the hartster, and found all this out just now, and in the nick of time I hope, before anyone reads the gamestart times and thinks them to be final; I will change them as soon as I am done here, but first let me assure everyone that this is merely a technicality and that the game time will not be affected! Thanks a million, harts, your doubts that you were wise enough to mention may have saved us!
 
i knew you were going to mention that, the reason for the new threads is that i poted one and then i actually read what someone wrote then another and forgot something and another i am sincerly sorry for this nuessance hopfully i can collect all my thoughts before posting. Isnt the bay area where all the hippies and what not lived?...you are 17 hours behind me so therefore if its 5pm where u are it'll be 10 am here so all my previous threads on my time were wrong...

i have corrected the times, of which only trevors needed correcting (from 10:30 to 11:30, where he is in South Australia), though it wasn't his error, because I was under the false impression that my time was only-7 I though trevor's was 15 1/2 hours away, but knowing now that its -8, which makes alot more sense, his time becomes 16 1/2 hours, which meant that I had to add 1 hour to his clock.

But Since both me AND Dr eamer were wrong it worked out for the best since we both just moved 1 hour earlier, and thhe 17 hour difference between us still remains! As for the east coast, dont worry, i was simply adding three from my time, not having to figure it across the greenwich median, and so your time also remains unchanged. Doesn't seem too big a problem, even if trevor already came here and read the schedule he would just arrive an hour early and read all this to know to be patient for another hour.

so what u are saying is that my start time is noon ok we'll explain this the long way...5pm where u are plus 17 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9,10..sorry to be pedantic or maybe you think a smart ass but the time therefore would be 10am and 9:30 for trev
