Well, Ainwood said, that It'll be later. But I'll still be there at 00.00 GMT.
Jusf for a try. At least Cracker, may his name be remembered and preased, at least left us play at 00.00 GMT.

The wifer is away for the weekend, and the boys will be asleep! :D

Nah! It always used to be 00:00 Mountain Standard Time, which is -7:00 relative to GMT.

Damn... I think I always downloaded them at GMT. Well, at least I remember
that I downloaded last GotM BEFORE GMT... Ok, I confess, I did sin, I started to play last GotM before the _real_ starting date, but that just Ainwood's fault, ehem.... Please, please, forgive me! Heh!

(edit) I had to edit this message at later time. This just remembers me of one of my favourite movies, Once Upon a Time in the West. There's a scene where they are talking like this: "Heh, looks like we're shy one horse. -You brought two too many", says Harmonica the main character and kills the others.

Hey, is this messaging system lagging something critical. I can't seem to find delete anywhere!? Maybe moderators can help?

Well I'll be darned. Maybe you need to fiddle with the gamma on your monitor. ;) I myself don't peer too close or use a lens, but I can make out the nose or feet of a cow pretty much every time. That bonus is easier than most because it appears on unadorned terrain (i.e. plains and grass). Also it is sometimes useful to use [shft-cntrl-m] to cast some light. I'm not convinced of a cow in this case, though.

Just a thought on the more restrictive Contact/Map sharing:

If you need to expedite contact between AIs to allow for the desired tech pace, then establishing the embassy and ROP can be helpful in exploration, both theirs and yours. I haven't fiddled with this too much, yet. I have to say that, having played several random games on Conquests, these restrictions REALLY slow the AI pace, especially on Archipellago maps.

Looking forward to playing/submitting the India game. Have fun, everyone!

The game will be released when the Council of the Gods has met and approved it, and not a moment sooner.

As my Grandmother used to say "Patience is a virtue, catch it if you can. Seldom in a woman, never in a man."

Seeing a decline in work commitments I have high hopes to finally be able to complete a GOTM. Last one fell short by a few hours of gametime :( I feel SirPleb is on the right track with his opening moves. Worker to mountain, pottery at 100% and a few warriors. Pretty straightforward start I think. If there indeed is cattle in SE I will be a bit late spitting out my first settler, but nothing critical.

I'm outa here.

If there's anyone out there who hasn't open the SAV file yet I'd love to hear more about playing as India--is there a thread re: strategies for playing the various combos of civ abilities?

<sorry; I want to eliminate the message I posted and can't figure out how>
