Gotm 3??

There will always be a part, and always a very large part of every community, that have no care but for themselves, and whose care for themselves reaches little further than impatience of immediate pain, and eagerness for the nearest good.

Just finished GOTM2 and am glad i finally did. Took me a bit. I'd like to point out that i, personally, would prefer GOTMs that take just a tad bit less time. ;)

Can't believe how unpatient some of you are. There's plenty of games and competitions to play, so no need to rush it.

What i wanted to say was, I myself would prefer normal to epic game speed. ;)

Whatever speed, keep up the great job, this GOTM took me some time but sure was fun!

I agree. Epic takes too long - so please don't do a marathon speed game! I like shorter games - but who wouldn't if they were married with 2 small kids, a full time job, and working on a master's degree?

Yeah I know how you feel, taking an MBA, working full time, building a house, getting married in June and my 23rd B-day in a couple of weeks , although kudos for paying with having kids running around :goodjob:
I do like the epic game speed but then again from the looks of my up and comming schedule GOTM is the only game I am going to be playing. :(
One game of civ a month  ouch, but at least it will be a good one!!

I'm right there with ya. I could handle it on an easy level, good early UU, on a single landmass map so I could get an early domination/conquest victory. Otherwise, just waiting for astronomy would be horrible.

Wow, I'm impressed you get any time for Civ4 at all then:eek:

I'm only on the 2nd year out of 4 for my Masters in Chemical Engineeering, and the sheer amount of work has been almost physically painful. Just glad I'm done with exams for 5 months now, I was worried I might never play Civ again

But, despite this I do still like Epic length games, I prefer the extra time I get to use units and move them. It definately makes Continents maps a lot more interesting

I vote for MARATHON speed, it rules :goodjob:

If not marathon, then atleast EPIC; normal and above are just too fast, techs go obsolete immediately and you get to research tech per turn which is not fun...

Yeah, marathon in February would be indeed evil as it is the shortest month...
Those 3 days extra in other month could save the day...

Epic is already long enough, I think.

Maybe it's just been a heavy week, but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that you guys are worth my time and energy right now!

What gives any of you the right to kick Ainwood around for the sake of a couple of days delay in getting you your precious pre-game information? :gripe:

Dont give a pre-game thread this time. If people cant show you respect, you shouldnt respect their wishes for a pre-game thread.

I don't believe some people respect the time the GOTM Staff donates for us.

@Ainwood: Take your time. You have a life too.
