Has been a rough month for me.
Im glad that GOTM helps me to focus on some other issues and bring some fun into my life.
It was an " unusual " game...., I guess was a glitch or a bug in the game as other players have commented.
My first priority was building a palace, after my first set of settlers were rushed from Veii, and my second city built ( Antium ) then I felt more confortable.
I reasoned that 66 turns were too much to wait for the next Tech discovery ..and also the Tax implications
After the Palace was built , I think the discovery rate was 27 turns by 2000 BC and down to 8 turns by 500 BC ( as a Republic ).
I kept Rome as a Trade post , interestingly , at one point I tried to Bribe Rome , and I was not allowed....also at another point , I try to attack
a Barbarian archer and the Senate intervened....!
By 500 BC I have taken Rome , and decided that was the Best location for a science city, I have Pyramids , Colossus and MP at the Time.
Exchanging Maps was a priority ...but I have not much luck, I was concerned gifting all AI players...since I was pretty close in the Tech Race with Sioux and Chinese.
Chinese keep building and stopping HG , all civs were Moving Capital cities ....Oracle was started then stopped by Vikings...
BY 1 AD I had Science City ( Rome ) , with Shakespeare and Colossus ...and Copernicus almost finished.
By 500 AD I decided to take on Chinese, they have Built GL and were slipping away , also they had the Great Wall.
By 1000 AD Chinese were conquered ( except one city as usual MO ), Radio was Discovered by 1080 and several Airpports Built, Granada was my Spanish Airport..Cedar Creek in Sioux Land , Trondheim in Viking Land, Japanese and Greeks were not an issue since they were far behind, Built 3 Airports in Roman Mainland.
Launched a SS that will arrive to Alpha Before 1600, have yet to play the last 10 turns
