There's a built-in bug with CivII that whenever the starting and ending points span the (0,0) map seam (sometimes called the "dateline"), the GoTo command will miscalculate and send your unit heading in the opposite direction. I have not seen a patch for that yet on any of the CivII versions. If you use shorter GoTos you usually do fairly well, but the algorithm does take into account faster road/river/rail travel so it will deviate from what you expect if those are around.

Can you describe the problem a little more? Are they moving at all? Or are they just getting "lost." A few specific examples would help us help you.

btw, welcome to CivFanatics. :goodjob:

getting lost, like they get to a point and then go all the way around the world to get to the point that you sent them to. I used to know how to fix it, but I can't remember now.

If that problem occurs when I'm mass moving troops, what I usually is have two citys. One city, I'll call it city A, is a city everyone on the continent can get to (or most) using the goto command. The other city, I'll call it city B, is the city I want all my troops to move to. I usually rename both citys so city A will have a Z in front of its name and city B will have a ZZ in front of its name. I then send all the troops to city A and then send them all to city B. All I have to press is "GZ enter" to send 'em to city A and "GZZ enter" to send 'em to city B. It sounds a little complicated, but it beats moving 100+ troops manually.
