To Dell and Spice (and really to all):

We have a very nice treasury of 1,392 gold.

Though we may need some later for bribing, right now our main target is a Democracy.

I was hoping for some suggestions for rush-building through the empire. Military stuff, freights for the UN, or improvements - whatever you'd all like to do.

Any thoughts?

I would like to use them for extensive factory rushing in almost all of our cities.

Well I could do with a nice new suit - something for the summer perhaps. Or we could swim in it like Scrooge McDuck used to in that kids TV show. ;)

I mentioned in the sliders thread that it is possible to use this large cash reserve to boost science for a bit, but this is only an option. I like the way we are able to rush units at will and although rushing factories is a nice idea, we may be better off trying to rush units to crush other civs. If we can organise and execute our military campaigns in the right way then I don't expect any opposition to building the SS when the time comes. I would also be tempted to rush enough caravans to build the Hoover Dam and then just leave them sitting in a chosen city ready for when we discover Electronics. I am fond of building factories after I've built the Hoover Dam as you then need fewer engineers to clean up the pollution.

I would rush build factories in our main production cities and then rush build other factories later in the game...We could also rush some caravans but it depends on how many we currently have.

I don't think that at the moment it's necessary to rush factories, but we can do it in the big cities to hurry up caravan building. We may want to keep some money in order to rush defensive units in Ormuz (I believe) which we just captured and which has some English troops standing at it's gates.....

I agree with you here, Civ-1. It could also be nice should we have a successful foray into Chinese territory for the same reasons.

I would think that a few factories could be done. Rushing 3-4 freight is also cheap and will put us in that area where we could even rush-buy the UN should we have the need. Perhaps some alpine troops in Joespaniel and a spy in St. Leowind to help our cause against the Chinese.

Even with all of that, we should have a pretty decent surplus and could get some troops up in Ormuz should they be needed.

How about firstly building/rushing a factory where we plan to build Hoover Dam? I must agree that using our reserve to boost science for a bit is a good decision here.

And I could use a bit of it to fund that luxurious trip to Dover I've been meaning to take...Where do I make bookings for The Fair Fanatic cruise ship?

We should rush two factories then..One in THDP and one in Olympia...Then we can spend the rest of money on troops for our war against the Chinese.

I haven't read the "sliders" thread yet to see what this science boost is about (I assume it means fiddling with tax rates), but that aside I like the idea of rushing or at least helping along (incremental rush as fas as possible, then let the city finish) a couple factories in big production cities, and using the rest for units in some key spots (Ormuz, spy and Alpine Troops for Chinese campaign), but also rushing some freight for our ongoing Wonder race.
