I've already got a set of custom music for most of FFH's leaders, taken from my various soundtracks (FFVII, Bioshock, Kingdom Hearts II, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Oblivion), but I'm stealing the ones for:
- Perpentach (I never thought I'd hear one better then his current... I like what you found, though. It's a bit light-hearted, but somehow, that fits Perp)
- Faeryl (nothing I had seemed to fit... although I'm still not sure of this one, it's an improvement)
- Tasunke (same as before)
- Basium (but I'm using it for Decius, especially since Lost Painting from SOTN fits Basium too well IMHO)
- Charadon (I had been using a battle theme from Oblivion, but what you have for Charadon is way more Doviello)
- Cardith Lorda (but for the Bannor; it's too militaristic for the Kuriotates)
- Falamar (I'd been using the battle tune from the Pirates of the Caribbean world in KH2, but it always felt way out of place)
- Garrim Gyr (I was going to stick with what I had at first, but the more I listened, the more I liked it. Really, I'm a sucker for piano.)
I'd use the ones you picked for Einoin Logos, Arcturus Thorne, Flauros and Dain the Casselwain if I wasn't already so satisfied with the replacement tracks I'm using for them now.
You
definetly wanna re-roll on Hannah, though. Try "Pirate seas chaos battle" or some such. Something piratical, something warlike, and maybe something Lovecraftian. I mean, really! This woman would eagerly slit your throat for a few gold coins! She's the chosen of the Octopus Overlords, the twisted nightmares of a slumbering god! She's the Kraken of the Fields, not some new-age music loving softy!
About Cassiel: I always pictured him being less new age and more... Jewish? Something about the the idealogy, his original music and of course the flag. I don't know why, but whenever I hear his "original" theme, it reminds me of a synagogue. IMHO, a replacement should do the same.
Amelanchier's theme should have a slight edge of savagery, if you ask me. There is nothing "gentle" about Amelanchier. Remember his pedia entry? Where he kills a
holy priest (although with a good reason)? This is not a tree-hugging elf, my friend. This is a hunter and a warrior, the sort of man that could probably earn the respect of the Doviello.
Somehow, I see Tebryn standing upon the ruins of a modern city when I hear what you picked for him...
I think that the song you picked for Decius actually fits Cardith Lorda better, and vice versa.
Alexis' theme actually sounds a bit Balseraph for some reason... it's the laughing/screaming. Anyways, I'd say switch Alexis' and Flauros' themes around. Each matches the other perfectly.
And if anyone has the FFVII soundtrack themselves, trust me: try giving the Sheaim "Those Chosen by Planet." The very first time I played FfH, I found myself humming it when dealing with the Sheaim, even before I changed their soundtrack to it.
Oh, and where have I heard Hyborem's theme before? I feel like I should know, and I'll feel like a fool, but I can't quite place it.
Honestly though, I think it does fit him well.
