[Graphic Mod] Varietas Delectat v9.2 [civ specific unit sets]

The sad news is that I already use the default RedCoat.kfm and Cavalry.kfm. Is there no such problem with these units in your mod, mamba?

No, they work as they should, both in game and in the civilopedia. I had this issue with two persian units and since that fixed it, I removed the custom kfms everywhere (as long as they were identical of course).

Strange thing. I just checked Diversica 0.60b and I was having exactly the same black texture stuff. (both in unit info box and in civilopedia)...
 
What unit was it? Maybe I could look at it, it could be using the wrong shaders or something (I've encountered similar problems while experimenting).

Also attached to this post is the altered CEO animations for the modern settler. It's very important that you leave all the files in the anime folder untouched even if they don't look like they're needed. In the xml point to the kfm in the anime folder (which you can just use as a sub folder in the settler folder :D).

It's the Japanese Rifleman and Cavalry(this is basically the Rifleman on a horse). Thanks in advance!

Chuggi! About the modern African Settler you pointed me to - there's an umbrella without texture - and I don't know how to add a new texture to objects:( Can you help me out, per chance?

Hmm I had a look at it... I would just use the settler without the umbrella because the umbrella itself has thousands of polygons. Just replace the nif file with the original female settler nif by alazkan.

Just FYI, I started a game as the Japanese and the starting Warrior unit was just 3 little red blobs (that moved like Warriors). I didnt play it out from there because it was quite disconcerting, but you might want to look into it. :)

I just checked and it works ok for me. Are you sure you installed it right? Was this the only unit not showing up for you?
In case you did everything as specified, I think this might happen because of the undefined nature of modular loading when I updated the Warriors texture and I didn't include the .nifs.

Anyway, I'm gonna correct this in the next update!

I'm still seeing intermitant button problems, but they seem to come and go (for example, as Japan, sometimes when I would go to build a Galley I'd get the right icon but other times I'd get the Caravel icon).

Ok, now it seems to me that with the next update I'm gonna merge the mod - so these problems should disappear, but you'll need to download the whole mod again. Oh, well...
 
Longbowman a fix that now shows The Longbowman icon some of yours Longbowman you had
<Button>,Art/Interface/Buttons/Units/Archer.dds,Art/Interface/Buttons/Unit_Resource_Atlas.dds,4,1</Button>
and not
<Button>,Art/Interface/Buttons/Units/Longbowman.dds,Art/Interface/Buttons/Unit_Resource_Atlas.dds,8,7</Button>
 
I have BTS 3.13, but I didn't have the latest update of this mod, so maybe that was my problem... I guess I'll try again!
 
Update:

So I tried again with the new version, and it's still like that. While playing as the Byzantines, go into the World Builder, add all the necessary techs and resources for you to build their UU (Guilds, Horseback Riding, etc.; Iron, Horse) then exit the World Build and go to build one in your city. When you go to build a Cataphract with Justinian, it appears like this in the menu:

Now I'm fairly sure that's not how the icon for the Cataphract is supposed to look :lol: The previous game I posted was from before I installed your latest version, but I installed 3.0 and it still does it.
